The most popular post on my blog today is the one featuring Diamond’s personal stylist Tyre LaJuan.
The thread is riddled with hateful comments towards the young designer. I am disappointed in my SR.com family. So many hating on one so talented? I thought the mature, intelligent members of my community were above all that? Where are the props and kudos for this young man’s talent?
Imagine that: a stylist who can actually design his own creations rather than picking out the creations of others and making their clients look a hot mess!
This is a heads up to Tyre: I just peeped your Myspace page for the first time today, and I was very impressed with your work! Your handmade boots are definitely the biz!
Don’t pay any attention to the Hatoraid. The one thing I learned when folks started hating on me is this: hate is very good for business! Keep on doing what you do. Your business is about to pick up!

I must add that I like the purple and silver theme he could tone the design down a little bit.
I also like the wedges the colors are nice. Take the green and yellow off and tone down the gold buttons.
I like the black and white zebra print on the boots.
If he wants women to wear the boots he need to be more design friendly to women. These boots are for the flamboyant community.

I for one like to design my own shoes and I take them to a tailor to produce. Custom designs…. If you put a shoe out for women to purchase in the open market you have to tone it down. Everyday women cannot wear the shoes to work. Fit the shoes to the model before displaying the work. I wish you luck

You know what? Big up on this one Miss Sandra. Way to support the entrepreneurial spirit in a young brotha. I definately admire the fact that this young man knows how to make boots from scratch. I’d be interested to know his rates for designing boots to my specifications because his taste ain’t hittin on nothin. As they always say on Project Runway and I totally get, the boots just don’t look expensive. But the boy has the technical ability, no doubt.

It’s cool to dislike the style, but it got taken way too far with coming down on the man’s intellect. Just because you can spell better doesn’t make you superior. Anyone could have kindly offered to assist him with his writing but did you ? No of course not. Apparently it’s more fun for a bunch of adults to make fun of someone.
I have a cousin who did not do well academically but he’s not without worth. He can fix ANYTHING properly and inexpensively and probably better than the so-called professionals. Tyre LaJuan may not be as well versed as some of you but at least he has taken his talent to start his OWN business doing something that he loves instead of sneaking on SR from work all day. At least he’s not out selling drugs or robbing your mother.
So what if his clientele consists of “queens” and “hood rich”, the fact that he has a clientele is what matters.

When one is in a room full of woman this is what happens. Plus, Sandra is not dumb. Sandra does know how to light a fire under us. Women are opinonated and we sometimes forget that this site is for entertainment only. We woman do take it to personal sometimes. I had to look out the window to see if i missed a full moon. We don’t get a different moon until Nov. 26th. Most did just not like T L’s designs or his myspace rants. Men, if you want to design something for a woman, it’s ok to ask a woman. It had to be a man to design a pointing bra, woman are soft not pointing(we will point our finger), but back in the Madonna era we did not want our boobs to look like missles under our blouses/sweaters.

I know some people who were in the fashion industry and it is CUT THROAT to say the least. I said yesterday his ‘fit for Diamond wasn’t bad on her. I couldn’t/wouldn’t wear it – but it fit her. And the boots were cute. It was his grammar, and puctuation that were horrible.
Bruh – you would do well to enlist the services of an editor before emailing/publishing comments/descriptions of your work. That’s not hate – it’s just the truth.
The boots shown above are flashy, but there is a market for that. I can go the The Village Shoe Inn – just outside Detroit, and find shoes/boots just as flashy – and they’re marketed to to the general public, not celebs.
The purple/silver boots you’re wearing in that pic go nicely with the purple – multi top you’re rocking. It’s just not something one would expect to see on a man. Expect folks to comment for that reason, alone.

This is my third post about this and it will be my last. I won’t give this idiot anymore advertisement. I get home last night from job 2 and I’m racing the clock to submit my project online (it was due by 11:55pm). After I submitted the project I log on to MySpace and see I have a message from this “stylist”. I should have saved it to repost it here but I didn’t. At any rate, he didn’t take to lightly to the comments I posted earlier and proceeded to basically say I was jealous of him and he could tell so by the pictures posted on my page. Sandra Rose is no stranger to voicing her opinion on her website about celebrities, wanna be celebrities, stylist and well even wanna be stylists. The good thing about it all is we are entitled to our own opinions. When you choose to be a celebrity or work in some type of field that puts you in the limelight you open yourself up for negative and positive comments. What I’m trying to say is this idiot is so insecure within himself that he chose to individually click on each commenters link and leave slandering messages. Basically he took it personal. So I will say it here what I said there: instead of checking out my MySpace page, take your dumb ass to the library and check out a book or two. Your grammar is terrible and you should be ashamed. I find it hard to believe that you have two degrees based upon the way you ****ed up the Queen’s English. That ghetto ass **** you call fashion can best be described as stripper boot Couture – at best. You failed to see that basically you were another source of entertainment on the Sandra Rose website. Why do you think she posted your first email verbatim? It was done to provide comic relief and fodder for the rest of us. @ Tyre – If the comments here offended you to the point where you feel the need to email people, stop reading them. Its criticism/feedback (positive or negative) … bottom line is that in the industry you are choosing you will receive alot of that, if you can’t take it then you may want to rethink what’s ahead of you. This may be just what you needed.
Also note that if this is what drives you and you are passionate about it keep on with it … don’t get so frustrated. This is 15-20 people on a blog who dislike you work, you may have 15-20 people who like what you are doing.
Don’t waste your energy being consumed with words that are hurting your feelings, its not healthy.
