Sen. Barack Obama doesn’t know his black sitcoms. Clearly he wasn’t exposed enough to his black roots while growing up white in Hawaii.

Obama was in Raleigh, N.C. stumping for votes, when he made this gaffe:

“If Senator McCain is elected, we’ll have another president who wants to privatize part of your Social Security. Could you imagine if you had your Social Security invested in the stock market these last two weeks, these last two months? You wouldn’t need Social Security. You’d be having a — like, what was it, Sanford and Son. I’m coming Weezie!” (Source)

Weezie was the wife of George on “The Jeffersons”. How embarrassing. A brotha would have known that.

I am proud to admit that I am truly voting for Obama on November 4th due to the fact that I reside in a divided household. Kids do look at things more about color. My parents from the beginning told us we were black but also had to tell our dark skin sister that she was white. The weird thing is that all the light ones in the family married black spouses while my dark sister married white. LOL. The box check has changed. I am ok with affrimitive action and back in the day I was a employers dream hieree. A white looking black woman. They got to kill 2 birds with one me. LOL. A minority and a woman. Boy have times changed. White ppl are now the minority and in a few more decades Mexicans will be the biggest population. i have been part of the workforce for awhile now. and i have an HR background to boot, so bear with me here…entertain me just for a minute.

whether you are ringing groceries, answering a phone, filling or even writing prescriptions…it has been proven by employment analysts to go down something like this:

most jobs, not all of them, MOST….it takes you at least 2-3 months to get acclimated (that is why you get reviewed most times “after 90 days”) 6-9 months to figure out what contributions you can make to the bottom line, and at least a year to do your job effectively.

so that means sarah has really only been doing her job for 10-11 months. even less that that since she was plucked from almost virtual oblivion 2 months ago.

oh yeah..sarah has alot of experience…i hope we don’t have to see THAT scenario play out. it could be painful. the very best we can hope for if mccain gets elected is that he stays healthy…so we don’t get stuck with that pillow queen soccer mom sarah. the one with…experience. the one who can see russia from her house.

Sandra, I have to tell you since i was there, the crowd didnt give a damn that he said WEEZIE instead of Elizabeth, they loved it and the white people were in complete awe of his presence all of them with their “I voted for THAT ONE” shirts on. And Charles needs to eat ROCKS with his assassination scare tactics, he’s a true republican with all that fear-mongering, so I guess all of us blacks should stay in the house for fear of being lynched at work! It is sad and disgraceful throwing away a right to vote that is a right that our ancestors died for, and just 40 years ago you couldn’t have even used the toilet beside a white person much less voted freely and have the choice to pick a black man. An elderly person told me once that whatever your misgivings you could at least vote your best interest for the skin you are in! Sandra…that statement was clearly one that you had not taken the time to think thru. Would it matter if he was ‘black enough’ yet less educated? Less intelligent? Well I guess that wipes out the theory people are only voting for him because his skin color. NOW the world knows he is half white because he isn’t up to date on old african american sitcoms. Glad we got that cleared up! I guess we all should be grateful you don’t need knowledge of the Jeffersons to lead the country.

Besides, he is much more qualified than McCain. I don’t care how long any one has had a job if they are a consummate f&*% up. I mean lookak at him, his decisions over the last 20 years are mad suspect,MLK holiday, John Keating, Economic knowledge, Palin. Quite frankly I would say the same for Carolyn Cheeks-Kilpatrick. She is a hot-mess. She is black but If I were in her district I would never vote for her.

Bottom line you just oughtto stop it. You can hate if you want but you really are just wasting your time.
