I believe there is a thin line between dry humor and ignorance and this crossed it. Seriously I am not just sadden that this is a costume but the fact that this young lady is tolerating it. We got to do better.

It looks like she was the only black one at the party but nonetheless she made a statement by just putting up with it. Her ‘best friend” the white girl in the picture was hosting the party at her home somewhere in Fort Valley, how good of a friend is that?

Her name is Cassidy Robinson, a UGA Student, she has more pictures on her face book…. I’m not trying to call her out, well I am, but she should know better. SOURCE

Having done human resources before, they will judge and throw away a resume just for having the wrong email address. More and more employers are searching Myspace and Facebooks to check in on potential employees. In a market like this where there are more job-seekers than jobs, they’ll use anything against.

I am a true believer of the “mind your own business phrase” but even the most dumbest people in the world can understand why people are opinionated about this. Let’s just use basic common sense. With almost anything there comes a level of respect, even if it’s not a lot, there is a level of respect. Pictures can say a lot, and if you are not careful they can say the wrong thing about you.

I’m not judging her, but based on the pictures, she falls in the same category as the ignorant fool that the news reporter always go to and ask questions.

We all accept a level of respect from anybody including friends. This pictures tells me that they have no respect for her, because if my friends wanted to dress up that way, they would have not, just out of the level of respect.

We did the best we could to get along, but we ran into racial issues all the time. 11th grade me and 4 other black friends decided to run for cabinet (I ran for vice president) needless to say we were all shut out! I’ve always wondered how other people are able to gauge when someone else is being “too” or “over” emotional.
