Paula Abdul reacts After Stalker Commits Suicide Outside Her Home
Paula Abdul issued a press release saying she is “shocked and saddened” after a 30-year-old woman was found dead in a parked car outside her Los Angeles home on Tuesday.
The car is registered to Paula Goodspeed, a season 5 Idol contestant, TMZ.com reports.
Police found the car idling outside Abdul’s home around 6 PM. The cause of death may be a drug overdose according to TMZ.com.
According to Goodspeed’s mother, the victim was obsessed with Paula Abdul and told her she was going to visit Paula on Tuesday. The victim’s mother called 911 when her daughter didn’t return home.
The license plate to Goodspeed’s car read “ABL LV”; a picture of Abdul hung from the rear-view mirror.
“I am deeply saddened and shocked about what transpired yesterday,” she told Usmagazine.com in a statement. “My heart and prayers go out to her family.”

It is not that serious, some people need lives and obsession is never good, and why was she on drugs, there are lots of other ways to meet celebrities other than stalking them. how sad. i love me some brandy but best believe i wouldn’t go to her house and stalk her, WTF!!!!!!!! there are other ways to meet people and learn things
also if you approach people in that way you can never be friends. you create a tension, no one wants to be friends with someone who only likes them for their celebrity
Being that she was obsessed with Paula I can’t figure out why she took just her life. Not that I want Paula dead. This woman was very mental. I hope she is at peace.

Well it may not have been serious to you, but it obviously was that serious to Pauls Goodspeed.
As a society we have to with the mentally ill too many suicides or people getting attacked or killed by people with mental illness.

R.I.P…There are some sick people out there. They take being obsessed with celebs to a whole other level. But the craziest fan/stalker got to be the dude who killed himself when he found out that the woman he was obsessed with (Bjork) dated a black man.
“Deranged fan Ricardo Lopez mailed a powerful sulfuric acid letter bomb to pop star Bjork -And then spent 12 hours videotaping every bizarre detail of his own macabre suicide.
A Grossly overweight 21 year old from Hollywood Fla, Lopez became obsessed with the petite Icelandic star three years ago.
When he read that Bjork was dating a Black man (Goldie) he became enraged.
“Im going to send her a package” the madman rants on his chilling tape. “Im just going to have to kill her!”
In his macabre suicide video Lopez shaves his head like Marlon Brando’s sinister character Col. Kurtz in Apocalypse Now, paints his nipples red, and his face red and green.
Then, sitting stark naked in a chair, with a mysterious hand lettered sign reading “The Best Of Me” in the background, he places the blue steel barrel of a .38 caliber pistol in his mouth. The sign, which is not a bjork lyricat first baffled the cops, who now think the madman meant to splatter it with his own blood.
After taking about 20 Deep breaths, Lopez says, “**** the World, Thats my last words”. As he pulls the trigger and slumps to the floor at exactly 2:53 pm, Bjorks words “I remember you, You’re the one that made my dreams come true” are playing eerily in the background.
When cops found Lopez on Sept 16 they discovered that his apartment was a shrine to the singer, the walls plastered with her photos. They also found that hed taped himself placing the acid bomb that he sent to Bjork in a hollowed out book.
Police quickly contacted their counterparts in London England, where the singer now lives. Luckily they intercepted the bomb before it reached its target, foiling Lopez’s vow to “send Bjork to Hell”.”

I wouldn’t be surprised if this was Paula’s get high partner.

i don’t know whether to feel sad or be mad at the girl for taking it this far.
I work with Mental Health people and this is something that is sad. This girl could have been sending all kinds of signs to her family stating her illness, but people aren’t familiar with signs that would let them know about getting their loved ones some help. I feel bad for her family and Paula because this is something she has to live with as well. Someone killing them self on your property and actually knowing them hurts..…Having love for someone is great, but being completely obsess can cause harm…

Woow that’s so tragic. I feel for the family of the girl, but am also concerned for Paula, she was already on something, I hope this doesnt push her over.
