The Way You Mecca Me Feel: Michael Jackson is Now a Muslim
Now that the U.S. has elected its first Muslim president in Barack Obama, Michael Jackson is following suit by converting to Islam himself. According to The Sun UK, Jacko has changed his name in accordance with his new religion.
Jacko will henceforth be known as “Mikaeel”:
The skint superstar, 50, donned Islamic garb to pledge allegiance to the Koran in a ceremony at a pal’s mansion in Los Angeles, The Sun can reveal.Jacko sat on the floor wearing a tiny hat after an Imam was summoned to officiate — days before the singer is due to appear at London’s High Court where he is being sued by an Arab sheik.
A source told last night how Jacko, brought up as a Jehovah’s Witness, decided to convert as he used a studio at the home of his chum to record a new album.
An Imam was summoned from the mosque and Michael went through the shahada, which is the Muslim declaration of belief. Mikaeel is the name of one of Allah’s angels.
Jacko rejected an alternative name, Mustafa — meaning “the chosen one”. Source

I heard he confirmed this over a year ago and it is well known in the Middle East that MJ and his brother Jermaine are muslims.

All he, or anyone has to do is take the Shahada, and practice the five pillars. Islam usually does not look highly upon music, singing and dancing, nor do they drink Jesus juice. It’s not hard being an upright Muslim. I woul dnot be surprised if he did this just to ave favor according to Islamic law, when he goes to court. most countries honor the laws of those who practice a particular faith. Except the US, if you aren’t a Christian, you just all around FUBAR.

For those who need help with their comprehension, I, myself, did not make the statement. Muslims AROUND the world refer to Obama as one of them and THEY made the statement and similar ones like it.

Seeing as he is wearing something traditionally worn by Muslim women I would guess it’s just a diguise. I don’t think any self respecting Muslim man would wear that.
