Ludacris also attended the gala in NYC. Def Jam announced the release of Ludacris’ new “Theatre of the Mind” album and Kanye West’s “808s & Heartbreak” a day early to take advantage of the busy Thanksgiving shopping weekend. And because Jeezy and Ne-Yo’s albums both flopped which put LA Reid and the late Shakir Stewart in the hot seat with the higher ups at Island/Def Jam.

Beyonce’s #;s arent really progressing, this is about the same amount Bday did in its first week. Alicia Keys did $750k in her first week, Ghetto ass Wayne did $1m in his first week so why does Beyonce have low sales? Beyonce has to keep re-releasing albums, and video anthologies in order to make up the #’s. Not to mention that fans purchased more than one album which means the number of people who actually purchased the album are low. The album is garbage and people were not looking for what she released. Also, its known that labels purchase albums or cause double scans when an album is purchased. Rihanna outsold BDay, something is wrong!
Britney Spears will be out in 2 weeks I think she really will sale more than $600k, I listened to her album and it is hot, Beyonce’s album has nothing on Britney, Beyonce only has two nice non ghetto songs on her album and those are Halo and Disappear….Britney has 7 bangers on the album, R&B and pop.
maybe bey’s cd will grow on me, but the “i am” side sounds like a bunch of country songs, and “sasha fierce” is more upbeat, but it’s still only about 3 songs that i’m feeling. i guess i’ll see how i feel after listening to it a few more times. i do like the song where she’s bragging though!
