Lindsay Lohan Calls Obama ‘Our First Colored President’

Lindsay Lohan, who is a big Obama supporter, recently sat down with Maria Menounos of Access Hollywood. When Maria asked her thoughts on the election, Lindsay said, “It’s an amazing feeling. It’s our first, you know, colored president.”

Remember now, Lindsay is a big Obama supporter who rallied other celebrities to support him. She understands that Obama is not black — he is bi-racial or mixed. Obama acknowledged that fact by referring to himself as a ‘mutt’ during a recent press conference.

Most blacks are bi-racial, as half of my family is, but when u still have to apply relaxer for whatever reason curly or nappy, yo ays is black! But if that makes the public more at ease and will end all this foolishness than so be it, he is mixed, as most “coloreds” are.

Her parents must be something else. She’s very young. The term colored went out of use long before she was born. Where did she get that from? I don’t know if she is an Obama supporter, but she has done things that make believe beyond the shadow of a doubt that she is a racist.

it still burns me up that my momma who is not even 60 (born in 1950) birth certificate lists her as a “nigra”

and my sister’s original….who was born in 1966…bc reads…yep “colored.”

my sister was able to get hers changed after a few phone calls. my mom says she wants hers to read the same as her sibs. lets them all be “nigras” for the girls and “negroids” for the boys together.

if you lived in the south, most families run the lot from looking white to choco-purple-black. even in my family, you go back a few generations and somebodies grand ma was white or indian. so obama would not even be the lightest person at the table. also, she is just mad because they would not allow her to officially campaign for Pres. Obama. People in Cali really dont want to be black, so you can call them colored and get away with it, try that down south and we will get her drugged up ass in place.

Boo for Lindsey, just went America took a step into the future, she time warps back to the 1950s! On another note, I am GLAD Obama acknowledges he is biracial. I too am biracial, and I think that his mixture serves as the perfect precursor to his message of hope, change and unity among ALL of us, not just blacks.

Did it get approved? Last I heard it was not on Bush’s things to do list before he leaves. It is on President Obama’s first thing to do list.

My grandfather (RIP) was half black, half white. From Jamaica. His father was Irish and his mom black. He had red hair and freckles and a lot of white ppl thought he was white. If you EVER called my grandfather white, he would be angry! I think the reason we call Obama black is because he identifies as black. Married a black woman, had black children. Who are we to take away his accomplishment of being the first whether you call him black, biracial or OTHER. Every other president has been white or at least identifies with being white. There has never been a black family in the white house and whether white people like him or not, they HAVE to respect him! Let’s give him his respect and who cares about what racial category he falls under. He’s a breath of fresh air. let’s call him that.

Please tell me why Obama being mixed is such a big deal. HIs Africa roots are closer than ours will ever be!! At some point we are all mixed. My grandmothers grandmother was mixed but when I look in the mirror I see a black woman! Just as when Obama looks in the mirror he sees a black man. Just as when a white man looks at him he is a black man, not a mixed man. He identified with his black side more than anything else. Look at his wife and his kids. This man is proud to be black. We really need to let this go and see what he’s going to do for this country as a president and not a black president. Afterall, this is why I voted for him. I felt like he was a better candidate to run our country over MCcain.

it doesn’t matter that Obama is bi-racial. What matters is that in 2008, there is someone who still thinks it is okay to refer to non-whites as “colored”. That is not okay!!!! I correct my father every time he call an asian person, “oriental”, because in my book it equals “colored”.

And to be honest, you can huff and puff Ms. Sandra and blow all the air out of you lungs trying to remind everyone that Obama is bi-racial; because at the end of the day… all any sees is a black man.

so if a white person born in Africa does that make him/her African? i don’t see any questions on some applications as African non Caucasian like black non Hispanic because some Hispanics come just as dark or even darker than some Africans or African Americans. Dominican Republic is just next door to Haiti and you mistake a Dominican person as black they would curse you out in a minute. I get mistaken as Dominican all the time but i don’t get mad.

Damn how is it that it is mainly black people have that damn problem??? Just for the record people in Africa don’t consider none of the african-americans as black period. I am half black and vietnamese but I consider myself black because I was raised black all my life and any dumbass wanna say different. We can take it there.

Let’s discuss the struggle. None of us endured any slavery. When you talk about discrimination. “Mixed” people face far more discrimination than a black or white person because we have to listen to that dumb ish from black and white. White people don’t give damn if you are half, 1.23% to them you are black period. I faced the same struggles anybody else faced if not more. So I don’t want to hear that crap.

If Obama starts acting like these republican white folks, see how quickly those black folks that call him “not black” call him “Uncle Tom”. And how can other people speak on what others have to endure anyway. Obama could have married a white girl, just like these professional athletes. Did he do it? No he married a sister and someone that many can take note of. This man been married for 16 years, is highly educated and he is a role model for any of us. This shyt doesn’t make any sense.

Please!!! Alot of yt people are downplaying Obama’s blackness because they dont want a black prez. They are using this bi-racial ethnicity to live in denial. When you fill in applications and they have the box for race, bi-racial still isnt on there. It should be, but it’s not and that just goes to show,if you are mixed with black and yt, it is assumed you are black, point blank. period. If anyone in my office say oh he’s not black he’s biracial, I always say you are forgetting about the 1 drop rule. LMAO !!!!

I agree with you on this Sandra…there was ONE instance that I can recall where he mentioned something along the lines of him relating to his African American side more…but since he has won, he has called himself bi-racial and a mutt….I think he is trying to identify with his white side as well and since a lot of people are saying we have a “black” president I think he is trying to make it clear that he identifies with BOTH sides of his race so Lindsay gets a pass…this time. lol.

I experienced this many times at work, but by older white ppl. I just politely say “you can call us black” and wait for their jaw to drop, it’s a priceless moment. My skin is white. Only white ppl with mixed grandkids realize I am mixed because of my hair. My dads gf is white and I saw her while wearing my natural locks and she asked me if I got a perm. I laughed and told her this is my natural hair. She is use to my hair being flat ironed.

Off topic. I was watching the news and they were suggesting code names for our Next Family. The name “Rosebud” was given to Sasha Obama. I guess Sandra will have to allow her a honorary registraion and hold it until she turns 18.
