New Music: Beyonce – Smash Into You

In desperation, Beyonce’s peeps have leaked another track from the dismal I Am… Sasha Fierce album which drops next week, I think.

This track is titled “Smash Into You,” and yes, it’s another bonus track from the 2nd disc. I didn’t listen to it, because I’m sure it’s a yawner like the other tracks I’ve already heard.

Meanwhile, VIBE.com posted 6 tracks from Beyonce’s upcoming double album I Am… Sasha Fierce, and asked readers to respond with reviews.

Only 2 readers even bothered to respond (one reader responded twice). Here’s what they said:

WOW! This is really Bad! Beyonce has yet to make the Cd worthy of her Talents. She needs to get with Shek’spere or Ryan Leslie and let them do the whole cd or split half. And what with the Hand clap beat songs: Single Ladies, Upgrade You, Freakum dress . It isnt like these are huge hits for her either. Beyonce is coasting on her image and style but how long will she keep making spotty cd’s?

The tracks you’ve posted are the best from the album with the exception of “Brokenhearted Girl”, which is by far the best. Beyonce’s alter ego may be something of a fierce nature, but this album certainly is not. I think the downfall is primarily the content. Her music hasn’t evolved much, and therefore we get an album of stale content and failed attempts at originality. It appears that Beyonce hasn’t really taken time to experience new things or embrace new perspectives to feed her songwriting energy. A hiatus could be just what the doctor ordered for Beyonce.

i do like the ‘diva’ song. i’ve noticed this for a minute now; how she doesn’t have a cd full of ‘it’ producers. i think it’s easier to get the up and coming produers (cheaper too)..i mean, she IS beyonce, so yes, she’s pushing the cd off her image.

she’s going to make you believe the product is hot, and you have to admit..she’s gonna perform the hell out the songs too….u have to give her some credit….

opinion polls are just that…now go on a beyonce fan site and ask the same questions, you’ll get different responses.

I’ve heard from some people who are huge Beyonce fans that they are not feeling this album. But i don’t know, it’s Beyonce so it’ll probably sell just because of her name alone. But honestly, I think she needs to take a break and come up with some material that is coming from the soul. It just seems like she hasn’t really evolved as far as lyrics go. But like i said because its Beyonce, it will sell based on her name alone.

Beyonce’s 27 years old now and some of the content of her material doesn’t really reflect growth from the last album and it’s definitely not touching albums from Mary J, Key Cole, even Teedra Moses, who is very underrated might I add and whose album was one of the best R&B joints I heard in awhile. But then again those are real artists and Beyonce is kind of a, shall I say, brand.

This is some boring music. I am not feeling this even a little bit. This song was already performed WONDERFULLY when Whitney sang, “Run to You”.

“Smash into You” is trash, and frankly, I’m pissed.

“Ego” is pretty good, but you have to be an extremely confident girl to like it.

Bey needs some life experiences in my opinion. And I do not like the cross over sound. HATE IT. “If I Were a Boy” just drags on and on. “Single Ladies” is catchy, but that’s it.

Come on, Bey — evolve AND don’t try to cross over!

I get what she was TRYING to do with the song but it just didnt work for me. The song would’ve been better for someone else..Like above posters have stated you havent seen much growth with her material or from her as an artist and thats not a good thing. If shes going to take a break she needs to really take a break and WRITE songs that are true to her and not what she thinks will sell because WE can tell the difference. Hopefully people will realize trash when they hear it and not be dumb enough to just purchase it because its her…hopefully

Wow that was terrible, that was the worst Beyonce song I ever heard. I think she is trying to channel Akeys As I Am album and it is not working.
