NFL Star’s Father Beat into a Coma By Houston Police
According to family members, the father of Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver was beaten by Houston, Texas, police officers as they arrested him for outstanding traffic warrants.
A family member who was with Marvin Driver Jr. when officers arrested him, say police took him behind a gas station. As they beat him and forced him to swallow something, the officers told Driver he was “going to see Jesus,” according to relatives and community activist Quanell Evans, who identified himself as Quanell X.
A police spokesman released this statement on Thursday: “About 1:30am on Nov. 17, officers placed [Driver] in the back seat of a patrol unit and transported him to our southeast jail… Upon arrival to the jail, our officers stated Mr. Driver was unresponsive.”
Paramedics were contacted and Mr. Driver was transported to a local hospital where he remains in a coma with blunt force trauma injuries.

I LIVE IN HOUSTON AND HE KNEW THE OFFICER THAT DID THAT TO HIM.HE WROTE IT DOWN ON A NAPKIN AT THE HOSPITAL..I THINK IT’S MORE TO THIS STORY??? THAT’S MY OPINION.

OMG ! Are you serious ?!? Who do the police think they are (not the good ones, had to put that disclaimer out there) ?!? I agree SMALONE, I live in Detroit and this is the first I heard of this but this definitely sounds like a vendetta !

I just read on C N N that one of the officers, a hispanic man has a history of harassing African-Americans,per community activist Quanell Evans.
Crazy mess!!! I pray for the man and this suspicious activity… The force will cover this one up like everything else….

I am not mad about the pic. being the alleged attacker is a police officer the pic makes more of a statement. Was showing the pic in poor taste, maybe.
It’s shyt like this that helps keep racism alive. Not trying to characterize any one race, but I have to mention that of the two times I, myself was harrased by a cop; in each instance – Hispanic! Then folks want to wonder why black men don’t trust the police. I personally give EVERY badge the side eye – be it black, white or hispanic. They’re all suspect control/power freaks IMO.

D*MN I’ve been in meetings all day and come on here to get my daily dose of laughter and see this…Just show up to the police station with blunt force injuries, he must have been hitting his head pretty hard on the window uh….GTFOH** I’ve been to Houston and have family there and they state that this happens a lot but there’s no proof because the people it happens to is considered no bodies (petty drug dealers and thugs). The only difference between this behavior and our government officials, is the physical aspect.
Everyday the people of this world are beat psychologically, and we are forced to swallow their bull**** at will. So please don’t be surprised at this, it’s a trickle down effect from the highest level to the lowest.
