Bush denies Obama’s request to move in early
George Bush, the outgoing POTUS, has denied a request by the incoming POTUS to move his family into the official guest house across the street from the White House. [LINK]
In response, Obama aides complained to the media that Bush wouldn’t make the historic Blair House available to the Obama’s early — as if that was going to change his mind.
An Obama aide, who isn’t authorized to speak on behalf of the family — but did so anyway, said the Obama’s needed to move in early so their daughters Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, could begin classes on January 5 at the prestigious Sidwell Friends School.
But Bush denied the request because there were already previously scheduled events for the historic Blair House. Bush aides say he did not wish to displace his guests so the Obama’s could move in early.
A Bush aide said the earliest the government guest house is traditionally made available to the incoming POTUS is January 15. But the Obama’s insisted upon moving their family and entourage in two weeks early.

If so, Bush is hilarious.
Just looking at the four of them standing together in the picture seems so strange and new all over again.
I didn’t but I hope they have it on DEMAND. I wanted to see it - scheudle conflicts though.

They did not INSIST…they ASKED!!! And you pardon me…but the current POTUS can’t let the NEXT POTUS stay at a place that is already set up for security so that the next POTUS’ KIDS can start school on time because you don’t want to BUMP some parties being held by some staff members who can walk into any Chilli’s or TGI Friday’s for a drink with NO PROBLEM…
There’s something tragically wrong with the whole situation…
Though, I’m sure the Bushs don’t understand (and judging by the current President’s legacy on education, I can OVERSTAND that)…what the BIG deal is about regarding the Obamas being so adamant about their children not missing school FOR ANYTHING…

Is it me or how this site become overwhelmingly negative? I’ve been coming to this site for years, and used to really enjoy it. However, now it seems as though everything is either bashing Beyonce or Obama. I really don’t get it. What happened? Does anyone have a clue of what this over emphasis on certain people are about?

I didn’t see the finale, I hope they re-play it all this coming weekend. I only saw the one episode where he killed his wife’s brother, and one of his sons killed the man at the party… Don’t Be Tardy for the Party.

I understand why the Obamas would want to move in earlier… But i am sure they can just stay in a hotel for those three weeks. No big deal!!!
I’m just wondering if for the next 4 year is Barack Obama going to be the object of your obsession? You have been spilling hate on him from the moment he ran for office and it’s ridiculous. I know the drill “this is your website blah blah.” But you know I’ve been reading your site for many years now. So if nothing else, I’m going to express my opinion.
I understand you have a right to your opinion. But there is a line between opinion and obsession/harassment. Nobody takes you serious enough to care about your views or position on politics. People come here for first hand gossip, because at one point of time you could deliver that.
As of late there has been none of that and you just seem to go full blown on Barack. It’s getting old. Barack and his family are not celebrities. He IS the President of United States of America. A country that you obviously love, because you opted to move from your native to live here. If not nothing else you should respect that. But you don’t, you have no boundaries or respect. Yet, you have the nerve to want to ban people that you claim don’t respect you.
Here you have the one of only a few black American men that have done something meaningful for our cultures/ethnicity and all you care about doing is tearing him down, just so you can try to get some attention from the white man.
You’re not reporting facts, because you don’t know any facts. A person that spends a huge percentage of their life in the house couldn’t possibly have facts. Any and all your information comes from off the Internet and you know NOTHING about it’s sources.
You need to be very careful with what you’re doing. You are gunning and going after the most powerful person in the US like he’s your equal or something. You’re putting yourself on the radar for no reason what-so-ever. If it wasn’t for the fact that Barack is a stand up guy, something would probably happen to you. But you need to be careful. You will NEVER win against the Government of the Unites States. You can and will come up missing and it won’t be a damn thing you or anyone else could do about it. Especially since you’re not even a citizen of the US.
