FanMAIL: Usher and Tameka Foster’s New Baby Boy is a Preemie
I’m sure all moms can relate to this: I just got word that Usher and Tameka Foster-Raymond’s new baby boy was born premature.
The baby, named Naviyd Ely Raymond, is Usher Raymond’s 2nd and the 6th son for Tameka.
The tyke weighed almost 5 lbs at birth, but he is healthy according to one of Tameka’s close friends who got her permission to email me.
The couple is truly blessed. Some of you may recall that rapper Xzibit’s premature son passed away earlier this year.
Here’s the email:
Hi,I am a fan of your blog.
Tameka Foster gave Birth to another baby boy. They try to keep it as quiet as they can, he is small, 5 pounds but he is healthy. Please don’t post my e-mail add on your site and could u please, please don’t say anything negative about the kids involved.
I know you have a problem wit Mr Usher Raymond, but Tameka Foster is a good mom and a down to earth nice person, she is being picked on by the media for no reason which is not fair, cause she is really a very nice person and she does not deserve all the stress, and mean remarks made by other black people/blogs.The main reason Usher fans don’t like her is because of the media and blogs and because she has who the fans want, its kind of jealousy, when she is really not dead ugly, she looks like alot of black woman i see, she is just not white or lightskinned.
What would people say if Usher decided to date or marry a white woman?Keep up the good work, just tone the hating down a little but, i don’t think thats good for any body’s soul or spirit.

Of course she’s biased, considering Tameka is her friend… Obviously, birthing so many damned kids at her old age is getting to her, no? And lastly I say if Tameka and Usher didn’t share the info, why should we care?
I agree with Kwal. I don’t know why Tameka gets so much flack! I think I like her more than Ursher, lol.
I hope the baby is stable and healthy. I know I was a preemie and I had alot of health problems when I was a baby. I also have a very low immune system which causes me to be sick alot and extremely vulnurable to infections.

Damn, so Usher, Tameka and everyone around them be sweating these blogs huh? GET OVER IT. People don’t want what Tameka has. We are just mean on blogs so she gets ripped up for being older, being married when she got with Usher, and not having beauty queen looks. It doesn’t have to be justified, it’s just the nature of entertainment blogs. Stop fretting over it and if they don’t like the attention why is this friend telling us the baby weighed 5 pounds? Is the baby sick? Both of my kids weighed under 6 pounds at birth and only one of them was a preemie and they didn’t spend an extra day in the hospital. So what is the big deal about this?

Pages, you’re right. It may be considered ‘preemie weight’, but if the baby is full gestational term, then she just had a 5 lb bag-o-sugar baby. My daughter was a teeny-tiny, and rightfully so, as I’m tall and thin and her father is short.
I did smart off in post #9, but as I mom, I do have to wish the child well.

and i hope baby boy is healthy. i had a preemie and while she was small she was just 3 weeks early. she was able to go home the next day with me. so i hope the baby continues to be healthy.
i feel bad about tameka cause errybody has a past. but i think she is forever gonna be tainted for whatever reason. and if it is b/c she is older that is not fair.

This email rubs me the wrong way. This is the first I’m hearing about the baby being early. I wonder what her due date was?
Another publicity stunt IMO to sell that album.. (Love the title track… classic R&B). & I love how Tameeka gave her permission to email Sandra. Get real. Does this person even know Ursher & Tameeka? I’m going to send an email to Sandra like I’m a friend of a big celeb & see if the letter is fact checked before posting.

@herm she had a little bit of criminal behavior when she was younger. petty stuff. but who doesn’t? that is not why i do not like tameka. i just don’t. she came on the scene and i pure stopped listening to him. don’t know why…i just did. i wasn’t world’s biggest stan or anything….i just lost interest b/c of all of the drama they CREATED. in other words i don’t think it was real but manufactured for publicity.

i hope the baby gets better and i hope this is it for her. she’s getting older and she’s gonna have more issues. i have a older friend( 41 years old) who had her baby in august and he wasn’t supposed to be born until november, but because of her age they were gonna take him in october. she was having so many issues she didn’t make it past august. he was 2 pounds with some change and now he’s 7 something .

I think a lot of his fans were turned off by the way she came on the scene. He lost a lot of fans. No one is checking for him these days. This is why these celebs should have a backup in their lives once the celeb status wears off. Once again, it reminds me of that old Flintstone episode when Fred was famous amongst the teenagers as a rock star and Wilma started a rumor about him and it spreaded throughout the crowd and in a matter of seconds Ole Fred was history.

My son weighed 4lbs. 15oz. and he was full term, just a small baby. Small babies run in my family. Not to mention I couldn’t keep anything down while I was pregnant with him.

I pray the baby is healthy. My daughter was 5lbs4oz however I was 17 and low birth weight is common in teenage pregnancies. She is now 5’3 and 105lbs at 11 so she is fine. Navyid is that boy’s name on the new 90210

A 5lb baby is a healthy baby. I wish them all the best with all of their kids!
I have friends whose preemies have weighed 2 and 3 lbs and had to be in the hospital for weeks and months before they could even come home. If Usher and Tameka got all of their kids in their home and all are healthy… her “friend” could have kept that information.
They are trying to play on sympathy to get people to go easier on them.

Um, her baby was born premature b/c that’s when she set the date for the C-section …I think that should be illegal, I don’t think woman should have babies before the 9 month span unless it’s imperative.

The doctor won’t schedule a Csection for a preemie unless the baby/mother’s health is at risk.
I’m calling Bullshyt on this one. If she scheduled her delivery for a certain date, it’s because the baby is considered “full term” not a preemie. They need to stop whoring for publicity and sympathy.
My man is in an industry that he’s had to cross path with Tameka on a regular. Maybe this whole situation has humbled her… but this time last year, her attitude was stank beyond tolerance. They keep records of whenever a customer is rude, uncoorperative, etc. She has over 50 different remarks on her record for her being hard to deal wtih.
Okay – I didnt address the premie or low birth weight issue.
Some people just have small babies I was 23 and my daugther was 38 weeks – she was 5 pounds 3ounces. My son also born at 38 weeks and he was 5 lbs 12 ounces and I was 29.
As long as all the vitals sign are good the baby is good.

Well, I’m glad that the baby is healthy, but as far as her being a nice person… smh that is yet to be seen. No, she’s not a bad lookin woman but her attitude makes her ugly…very ugly. Tameka will not stop and why should she stop having kids. Usher and Tameka can afford to have as many children that god allows. Children are a blessing and not a curse.

It’s just crazy that the writer of the email made the assumption that the people who don’t care for tameka does not because she isn’t light skinned or because she married Usher.
Here’s some reality for the emailer: People don’t like her for other reasons. 1) She came between usher and his mother to the point where he actually fired her because of the friction; (you can say that’s not how it happened, but whatever) 2) She’s a con artist (check her criminal history) 3) she’s a liar 4) she’s a thief.
The hate had nothing to do with her skin color; there are a bunch of other stars and celebrities married to dark skinned women; how come them women don’t receive this same hate? Let’s be logical here. It’s got nothing to do with her complexion or her age. She just seems sneaky and slimy and the revelation of her criminal fraud history proves it. Furthermore, we all know she cheated on her husband to be with usher, way before they actually came public with their relationship and way before they got married. She knows it, but we can’t prove it. But nobody’s dumb.
She just gives off a bad aura, and not to mention how she reacted to people. She was calling names and carrying on, just as bad as some of the people making the remarks.
I could careless, because, #1, Usher has never been much a looker, and his style is 1 and 10; it’s not like he’s so unusual, not to mention all the holes MJ got in his azz from usher biting out of it. So really, to think people love usher so much they would hate on his wife is ridiculous. People just didn’t like her because of her, not him. Just didn’t make him look good, crying like a lil bytch over here, yelling at people, giving people the middle finger; cause it all came back to bite him in his record sales.
These celebrities forgot we as the fans have the last say..hell, we determine whether you’ll get to keep your damn house. Cause if we don’t buy, they don’t make money. And the Raymonds obviously know that now, got their tails ducked between their legs, got Tameka in hiding away from the fans, and usher is regrouping by rehiring his mother and trying to make nice with the fans. However, it’s too late. People never forgot how you treated them.
I pray that the baby is healthy. I am a mom of 2 preemies. Both Girls, the oldest (8) weighing 2lbs 14 oz and my youngest (1) weighing 1lb 4oz. They both are healthy. My youngest was in the hospital for 3 months. Yesterday we had our 2nd NICU follow-up appt and they said that she is right on target! She now weighs 25lbs and is doing great. My oldest was in the hospital for only 21 days and is extremly bright. God has truly blessed me!
