O.J. begins 15-year prison sentence
Orenthal James Simpson has been issued a new inmate number and a new cell in the state prison that he will call home for the next 10 years at least.
O.J. was sentenced to two consecutive 15 year terms with the possibility of parole after 10 years for murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman in 1994.
O.J. could have served three years in prison, but he arrogantly turned down a plea deal offered to him by the state attorney’s office.
The world is a safer place now that this dangerous criminal is off the streets.
O.J. Simpson has started his 15 year prison sentence at a medium-security correctional facility in Nevada, following his conviction on armed robbery and kidnapping charges.State corrections officials have confirmed Simpson was shipped to High Desert State Prison in Indian Springs on Monday, 45 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada.
The 61-year-old former American football star was sentenced to at least 15 years in prison on Friday after a jury convicted him of orchestrating a sports memorabilia heist at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino last year.
He was convicted on 12 charges, including armed robbery, on 3 October (08) – 13 years to the day since he was acquitted of the double murder of his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman.
Simpson will be eligible for parole after nine years, and could serve a maximum of 33 years. He is reportedly planning to appeal his conviction. (Source)

I have always wondered this. You can only hold it in so long. He also has nothing to lose, they can’t try him again. Most ppl don’t believe he did it due to his health. The thing is he was set up and rather you like him or not this was not about what he was charged with but what he is believe have gotten away with.
If you think other wise why did the judge feel it was necessary to repeat over and over that the sentence had nothing to do with the “Trial of the Century” and she even came close to saying that she had her mind made up when the trial started.
His 4 partners in crime got suspended sentences for coroperating. They did get probation and if they violate it they will get 8-12 months in jail. OJ can sure pick his friends. LOL.
Sandra did you see his “last words” in court? In regards to this case he seemed VERY sincere and honestly I think he was set up by people who wanted him behind bars for the Nicole Brown murder. Is it a coincidence that the incident was recorded by “friends”??? NO….is it a coincidence that they gave him a judge who is KNOWN for her harsh sentences???….NO. Someone was waiting for the opportunity to catch him slippin’ and they did just that…shame, he should have knew better.

I love the rain as long as I’m not in it. I’m sitting here now, at work, looking out of my 16th floor window, watching the pouring rain, lightening in the distance and hearing the roll of thunder…but a constant reminder that this kind of weather is dangerous, as I look at the still boarded up Westin Hotel across the street (from the tornado that hit downtown Atlanta earlier this year).
@ prynn – yeah we do the scarfs thing here too. You know those wraps (the ones’ that come in the nice colors and prints) all the mature ladies have them on. I am thankful for my locs. Usually hair is pulled up and back, lately its all been down – my hair keeps me warm.

I’m bald. LOL I’m still trying to grow my hair back from last winter when I cut it off. I will NEVA’ do THAT again. When I cut my hair, in the dead of winter, I thought I was going crazy. My ears were bothering me and I thought I heard a UFO flying over my house. REAL TALK! I couldn’t sleep for two days. I was walking around mad as hell for about 2 weeks. Not completely off. It was falling out REAL BAD on the sides. I was wearing weave to hide the loss. When I started attaching the weave to my thoughts……I then went to the Dermatologist who said that I had “alopecia”. It wasn’t “BALD” alopecia, just low, real low. So low that when I called my stylist from the Drs. office and told her I was on my way for her to cut it off, she didn’t have to use clippers on the sides of my head. She just cut it off in the back and styled the top with spikes. It was HAWT, but cold. Ya feel me?! LOL
Now its growing back, but not as long as it was in my previous years. Its like the lenght of Rihanna’s……without the tracks. LOL

@pryn…i went natural (well semi…) after i had something going on having to do with my eczema. it was not alopecia my derm assured me. more like chronic dry scalp. so i went and told my folks to cut it. then i kept cutting it. now i have a low cut with a kiddy relaxer. got to the YT hair salon and catch a sis named joy who cuts it for $12 once a month and i do my own kiddy retouches.
i told my momma the other night i will prolly never have hair again…i LOVE being short. love it.
