daisy i agree she did alot better on that performance than on a couple before that . on toya’s world they have video of mariah singing hero and i actually like the new version even though she doesnt have the pipes she used to. she actually sang it in a way that was comfortable for the voice she has now. of course alot of her fans were PO’d because she doesn’t sound the same , but she sounded good to me. i would rather her try to sing it than punk out and lipsync all the time.

don’t get me wrong i think leona has a beautiful voice. better in time is my jam . she just doesn’t sound like the old mariah IMO.

@Licia MC just sang on some Christmas special last mth and sounded just fine to me. Everybody is entitled to an off day here and there. I agree 1000% that Leona is NO MC no matter how ppl try to slice it.

daisy as much as i love mariah( some might say i am a bit of a stan lol) , i have to agree with alot of what keely said. back in the day mariah could cut the hell up, but now she’s barely holding those famous notes and singing LIVE like she’s known for. although i know she will never be able to sing like she did back then, i believe there is hope for her .if she just sang with the voice she has now and stopped trying to sing songs that are impossible for her to sing with the shape her voice is in she’d be ok.

the only thing that puzzles me is why so many people compare leona to mariah ( in her prime) when to me they sound so different.they kind of look alike , but that’s the only comparison i can make.

back to the topic. i am sad that j. hud won’t be performing , but i wish her the bestand i pray she is able to pull through this.

Bey is an “ok” singer..when she’s not screeching trying to hit the high notes.

This is not the type of venue for weave swinging & butt pad booty shaking. This event is about Obama & we all know Bey would do whatever to make it all about her.

ALso why must it always be called hate. B can sing but she isnt a church singer and cant SANG or BLOW IMO. She is a great entertainer and has had some nice songs but I have never been that impressed or felt there was anything extra special about her voice. Before the word hate I swear ppl use to be able to have an opinion.
