$415 heck no. My son is 7 and hard on shoes. He won’t see these as long as it is coming out of my pocket.
they are ugly to me…. and even more hideous with that price tag!!!!
$415…………must be nice….i don’t think their ugly….i have a thing for gold footwear….cept boots….but they HOT!!!
104.99 IS THE HIGHEST ILL GO AND THATS FOR JORDANS
HE PROBABLY PURCHASED IT WITH HIS OWN MONEY THOUGH
why did I think those were leopard shoe strings at first glance. I need a nap
In my Bill Cosby voice….
Any boy of mine walking around with a pair of $415.00 sneakers better be on stage with his four brothers.
Tracy Morgan & 30 Rock just did a spoff of these very sneakers last night.
So what, CJ is a Que, now? Roo…Where’s the camoflauge pants and purple shirt?
$415.00 waste
See, this is why I’m glad my son is into skateboarding. He wears those DC’s, Vans, Ecko, Etnies etc. Those kicks be like $50 bucks or less. The clothes are affordable too He can skateboard his lil heart out and I don’t have to worry about buying Jordans.
I’d wear those. And I barely wear kicks!
@Shauny
My son loves to skateboard and I call him the geriatric skater. He goes so slow I can pass him walking lol
Ummmm are we in a recession? or did I just miss the memo they were giving out stimulus checks every month now. Whats up!
Nice shoes! However, on a therapist salary, I’ll pass! Some things are truly for the wealthy.
18k sterling silver gold chain laces and leather upper and pigskin lining. $415, kid needs a bodyguard to wear those ugly shoes. I hope the average parent does not find it ok to buy these shoes for their kids. It’s a safety issue why not to buy them not a “my kid needs to have the latest designer everything”.
Sandra,
Most Parent sturggling to keep a roof over the kids head, you got the nerve to say buy it, you love to hear ppl’s mouths. LOL
@shunda
My son has been into if a few years now. He started out with rollerblades and moved to skateboards. They have skate parks in our city so he goes and has gotten better. He used to be afraid coast. He use to just push and push, I’m like boy let go, he wouldn’t.
Your baby will start picking up speed. Enjoy it now because when he gets a hang of it they start doing those tricks. I’m scared he’s going to break something with all that stuff he be trying to do. I really don’t wanna be using my spending account funds for unplanned injuries…lol
Agree with the majority, the only way my 13-year-old would get $500 kicks is if he was doing it with Mom and Dad’s life insurance funds. I think it’s stupid for people to buy things cause they can. I could buy shoes for 50 kids with that money.
@Ects how did you get a ticket to the Inaug? Curious minds want to know..lol
Sorry won’t be buying my kid $415 shoes ever, especially ones that you can’t wear everyday. If I ever get to the point of having it like that, when $415 becomes $41.50 to me, then I’ll reconsider.
So wait, Diggy has so much style, but Pharrell is fruity and doesn’t know how to dress??? He wears whatever Pharrell wears and that ish is expensive. I hope he does get the ground running on his clothing line, Diggy needs a job so he can learn the value of a dollar.
@Daisy,
Obama’s camp sent out an email today that parade tickets would go on sale today at 1pm, they’re $25.00 with only 5,000 available. http://www.pic2009.org/paradetickets
hmm thought he was rocking some supras well if thats the same shoe he took away most of the cost because he not wearing the 18k gold laces in his
Hey Ecstracy!!!!!
Happy New Year!!! Long time – no see… Pray all is well around your parts
I want to know how he/she got a ticket to the swearing in ceremony. I knew about the parade ticket info. I will be standing with everybody else. Those tickets sold out in sec since there were only 5k.
@Daisy – I worked extensively on a campagin for MI Dem Senator Mark Schauer, who is very close to MI gov Jennifer Granholm, in other words, through people who know people. Hey Caramel! All is well with me thus far this year, how about you?
THOSE SHYTZ LOOK LIKE GIRL SHOES AND I WOULDN’T HAVE NO BOY OF MINE IN THEM…
I agree w/ Ielon. Am I the only one who thinks that Diggy is a little “too” metrosexual for his age?
@Ecst thanks my cousin knows ppl in the Dem party and it sure didnt do her any good this go round. She got tickets to all things Bush..lol
I don’t think there is anything wrong with Diggy. He is such a cutie pie!
$415.00???? i wish i would…..
SEE YOU SHOULD MAKE LIL BOYS FLAMBOYANT BECAUSE THEN THEY BECOME LOVERS OF THEM SELVES AND NOT FAMLIY. THIS WHY YOU SEE BROTHAS AT THE MALL SPENDING THE RENT MONEY ON SHOES WHILE THE BABY HAS NO MILK. …..
I DONT THINK I COULD READ A 12YR OLDS BLOG DAILY, IM JUST NOT INTERESTED IN WHAT ONE HAS TO SAY. LOL
@ Daisy – I have a young son who was Obama obsessed, and I was the only af-am who worked @ his campaign headquarters tirelessly for nearly two years. When he found out he’d have access to an extra ticket or three, he asked me if I was interested and I jumped @ the chance. I’m not going to lie though, when I saw some of those ebay bidsI got tempted…LOL!
dIGGY is a cutie pie but I think he’s too young to be as metrosexual as he is. Dont get me wrong I think men should take care of themselves as well as boys BUT he should be out playing some football and breaking a sweat at his age.
I just bought 3 pair of shoes for $15 at lunch today so I think it’s safe to say HELL NAW for these.
diggy plays basketball he just into fashion nothing wrong with that i mean his uncle owns a large clothing company his dad and sisters have a shoe and clothing company it just fit along the family lines really
Well no, my daughter ain’t been sweating me because she knows that if I had $400 to spare it would be for my hard working behind to take a vacation not spend on some shoes that will be out of style next week. That being said, Lil Biggie is too adorable.
^^^ Shoe store was having a moving sale and they marked all non athletic shoes down to $5. Bought 3 pair of Liz Claiborn that will be fine for wearing to work.
@Shauny, that’s so cool your son is a skater. It’s always cool to see our kids doing something “different.”
I would hope that I and their father would have instilled enough taste in my boys so as to keep them from wanting those shoes. I am not a fan of buying my children uber expensive shoes with inflated prices just to make someone rich. Michael Jordan is RICHER than hell, why can’t he make his shoes more affordable. I have always disliked him for that. I refuse to ever buy my kids Jordans. Morally I can’t do it. I will get them other shoes, even nikes, but if they are more than 50 bucks, they better be top of the line FUNCTIONAL running shoes, soccer shoes that they will need and be using for the sports they are involved in. I wouldn’t want them injured. And I won’t lie, payless shoes cannot hang with rambunctious boys.
@CaramelDrop: WORD! At 12, the boys I knew were raising hell on the playground or riding on BMX bikes and ish. FAWNING over shoes is FEMININE…
Amen @ Caramel! Louis V skateboard cases and fashion blogs for a boy @ age 12 just seems a bit…own know. Take yo behind outside and skip rocks, ride ya bike, hood surf on a car…., something that boys get roughed up doing! In a minute he’ll be designing a line for Barbie (sigh)
not hood surfing on the car…LMAO
Okay… people were throwing stones at me when i said the same things about Will and Jada’s son… talking about how kids should be off limits.
Well, i don’t care what the family industry is, little boys should be little boys with skinned knees and dirty fingernails not walking around in mink coats (like I’ve seen litle Diggy do). They have PLENTY of time to think about fashion.
What the hell happened to boys? *SMDH* This ish better not be contagious, because as it stands I’m putting both these boys in wrestling, soccer, football, rugby, shoot. My oldest is already in karate. That’s my little Sho Nuff!
#41: I agree. There has been one hell of a demasculinization of men in the last 10-20 years. Well maybe it was destined to happen. In the 18th century, men used to wear powder, and fake moles (patches) and all that stuff in Europe. *shrugs*
diggy skates there is more than plenty of opportunity to get get skinned knees skating he just likes to be fresh skating nothing wrong with that
Ecstracy Says:

I agree that the Digster is very metro, but it is part of his star power for me. I’ll have plenty of time to blow him up over it when he gets older. (Damn right I’ll still be blogging at 50/60 years old)
415.00 for something that has the potential to step in schit … step in gum .. get mugged and you walkin home in ya socks .. 415.00 hmm .. my gas bill for 3 months was 156 .. ga power 120.00 .. trash …45.00 and then i’d have 74.00 left to get my hair done .. go see “Not Easily Broken” and my son and I eat at Red Robin …
In all fairness, Will and Jada’s son doesn’t have a fashion blog, that we know of anyway
@ 47… Everytime my baby see’s Jaiden on tv or magazine, she think it’s a girl.

Wow, I thought I was the only one who wanted to shank Mike’s behind for his blind greed. Do you know that negro has the audacity to charge the Bobcats for him to come to games for a team that he is partial owner of. Oooooh, I can’t stand that greedy man. It would serve him right to hook up with Sheree from Gold Digging Housewives of Atlanta.
@42
Your son is going to be like, “Who’s the master?”…hahaha
My son wants to do Tae Kwan Do. I’m thinking about it.
Something to keep his but busy. I do love that he’s different but he has had to show the other boys in school that just because he’s different doesn’t mean that he won’t kick ass if he’s messed with. They called my baby a lame, nerd, picked on him because he doesn’t wear the popular shoes and clothes. I told him not to fight in school but after he came home a couple of times saying they tried to fight him and we went up to the school and nothing changed, he had my approval to kick tail if they stepped to him.

I had to deal with the same thing as my teen daughter is an emo chick or a goth chick or something. Put it this way, she shops exclusively at Hot Topic for her clothes. Not exactly urban. My whole family celebrated when she finally kicked some azz after years of abuse from black kids who didn’t think she was black enough.
I guess my son who is 13 is a joke, cause I can Gar-run-tee you he has no idea who Louis Vuitton is, and he would not have a clue on how to find $500 kicks. He does have a blog, but it is about Naruto and Yu-gi-oh. When he needs new jeans he asks can we go to the Gap or American Eagle (he is a nerd), and while he does have one pair of Jordans, he got them this year thanks to the generosity of his older brother.
@ Bird- It must be a new thing ’cause my daughter loves her some Hot Topic. I got skurred when I went in there and saw all those skulls and crossbone clothes! She bought a Hello Kitty Devil t-shirt, a plaid mini and some stripped socks. When she completed this ensemble with some high top converse, my heart broke.
Bird
yeah, I’m familiar with Hot Topic, there isn’t an ounce of urban in Hot Topic. My teen daughter gets some of her tees from there. My co worker shops there on a regular too so I have an idea of how your baby dresses. She looks really cute in her stuff.
@52 I can’t stand Yu-gi-oh, wanted everything they had, those stupid cards, some kind of arm thing. I’m glad he doesn’t ask for that stuff now.
@50 Shauny,
I know exactly what you mean because that happened to me. I was in to metal and rock. I knew rap songs of the day (the nineties) but dam* it if I didn’t know all the words to Nirvana, GNR and Metallica songs. I got called all that. But whatever. I’m glad for it because I feel like I turned out better than those little conformists. And I say conformist because they wanted kids to BE like them. If you’re kid is doing his or her thing and not making waves, that’s cool. It’s the ones that taunt anything different that I cant stand. That’s why if my kid wants to be a Ramones listening, jewfro mohawk wearing punk that’s fine with me. I just care about their happiness and their education.
Shauny, you should put him in Tae Kwon Do man. I started seeing more kids of color in the class and it’s refreshing. I just wish the girls would punch harder LOL.
@ Bird: I know that’s right. I cannot cosign on Jordan at all. You said it perfectly. He is greedy.
Are u kiddin me? I am so glad my son doesnt like stuff like that!
I heart hot topic lol. I’ve grown out of some of their clothes, but back in the day I would hem them up for some Dickies and fingerless gloves lol. Good times. Now that I’m older and less rebellious, I’m going classic, Audrey Hepburn, Lena Horne, Marlene Dietrich meets Rita Hayward with my fashion. But I won’t lie, part of me wanted a mohawk last week when I was getting my hair cut again.
DONT SLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEP ON HOT TOPIC!
I got these black skinny pants *not jeans* from there. That everyone is allllways asking where I got them. I love them! And they fit good! (except for the waist, of course)
(Damn right I’ll still be blogging at 50/60 years old)
that **** is a FAIL!
Hell at 50/60 your full of knowledge and wisdom @ 12 your young dumb and full of cum.
Seatlle Slim: “demasculinization” i’m stealing that word and using it all of 09.
DEMASULINIZATION is exactly what’s wrong withTHIS generation’s males and why there are so many d.l. brotha’s NOWADAYS.
lETS UNTAPE OUR BOYS SCROTUMS AND LET THEM HANG

I think our community here in the states doesn’t value that type of individualism. Not sure why, but I will write about it tonight. That’s why I appreciate Santogold and Pharell to name a few, because they just don’t give a rat’s @$$
Caramel Drop: I knew it was OVER when I saw 50 on the cover of GQ looking tangulicious and cats started wearing pink…especially hot pink. *weeps*
Seatle Slim
You sound like my daughter! She doesn’t wear it but she is definately feeling that 50′s retro stuff. I look forward to seeing her rocking stuff like that.

LMAO!!! Girl, I’m used to it now. But please believe I was not a happy camper when she defaced her brand new Chuck Taylors. Appartently they just weren’t hitting on anything until they had writing on them. I know how to pick out slamming outfits for her now and she loves them. I even got her the sleeveless gloves and leg warmers for Christmas. Yeah we be knocking fire from those Hot Topic frequent buyer cards!
Anybody in the A know when Faith will be performing at the Pearl?

I know it’s gotten pretty bad, but I’d like to think that most 12 year olds are not full of cum. And I really hope Diggy isn’t full of cum. What I was saying is that by the time he gets old enough for me to rag on for his metro swag, I will be 50 years old. True story. The Bird ain’t no baby.
Look Ima say it: Yall making these little boys today too damn faggish for this mans taste. Little boys should be running in the dirt, playing ball, getting dirty and what not, not acting all femaleish worrying about “fashion” and clothes and all this sissified crap.
And women today sit and actually got the nerve to wonder why they can’t find no “real men” out here today. Lock how they been raised up.
A bunch of fashion sissies…

Amen! Kids especially boys should be allowed to go outside to make mud pies and splash in puddles. My sis would put her kids in $50 jeans and pro jerseys along with $100 sneakers and dared her boys to get dirty. I think kids should go outside to play and come home smelling like the “great outdoors”. My son had to get outside to burn off energy, He did not care what the weather was. I would put him in his snow suit and send him outside to let the dog chase him or build a snowman. If he did not get to go outside he would literally be climbing the walls in the house. A 12 yr. old with a blog is crazy. Don’t you have to be a certain age? What is his blog about, fashion?
thats my boy chris awwww! cant wait to see the movie on the big screen!
