The legendary songstress Whitney Houston made a surprise appearance at the 2009 BET Honors in Washington D.C. on Saturday (1/17). I’ve given up on hearing a new album from the Diva. But she looks great!

I hear that security is at an all-time high in Washington D.C. this week. Not to monitor the crowds attending the Inauguration, but to keep barracuda Gabrielle Union away from Barack Obama by order of Michelle Obama. I don’t know how true that is. Not that Gabby has ever let security stop her from stealing another woman’s man in the past. The Secret Service has their work cut out for them.

1. Whit looks better than I’ve seen her in a while.
2. La’s weight loss is becoming more visible. I’m really not crazy about Mary’s dress. It is not flattering to her figure.
3. It’s really nice to see Monica on the red carpet but she seems a little out of place. I’ve seen her dress better for small time Atlanta events and I don’t think I’ve seen her hair look less fly than this ever.
4. I wonder if D Wade gave Gabby the heebie jeebies too. Or did she give it to him? Yuck.
5. I can’t believe the fabulous Cookie came out sporting tan lines. Otherwise she looks absolutely fabulous.

Mama Whit is looking fabulous. I too wonder did Dwade give his wife that STD by messing with Gabby. How embarrasing! Mary will always be the queen of hip hop soul. She is one of my favorites. Lance is soooo sexy. Monica just needs to take off the gloves then she will be cool. No comments for the others.
Okay, I agree with Kym. Monica is a no no. Those chains look like they belong on Mr.T. & why was she even there in the first place. Brandy deserves that spot more than she does, she did at least drop an album. Can’t wait to see MJB get her honor.
WARNING: If you are from the era of Biggie DO NOT GO SEE NOTORIOUS it was a horrible, non factual film. I hope it does well just on some black shyt but that movie had no story line or direction. Sorry but I really got sucked into all the promo’s. If I can save someone else’s money I feel like my job is done. I give it 1 1/2 out of 4 stars.

Everyone looked great! Especially Whitney. It was really good seeing my fav Monica on the red carpet getting back into the swing of things…LOL @ the comment someone made saying Monica didnt deserve to be there and she looked out of place…Thats just becuz you try to keep her in a box and only thinks she deserves to be at the Durty Awards and local shhh like that. When the truth is she is real enough to go to the Durty Awards and kick it with Zoe, Crime Mob, Trina, e.t.c…and then also go to a classy event and blend right in (tattoo and all) with Deborah Lee, Queen Latifah, B Smith e.t.c…… As far as what she had on, I liked it allot when i first saw it… but I do think she couldve either, left the gloves off and kept the chains or vice versa…Sandra I know why u feelin it cuz you get the look she was goin for…Punk/Rocker chic…and ya girl Rhianna is known for that…Overall I think the outfit was on point.
