These pretty ladies are sandrarose.com loyal readers. Two of them, MissJenee in the center, and Evita Camela on the right, are members. MissJenee won the tickets and backstage passes to T.I.’s Christmas concert in December, but she didn’t get to meet T.I. It’s all good though. T.I. made up for it by posing with our winner of the dinner for two at Amar’e’s private party at Justin’s. I’m still waiting for that pic, Luvly1957!

I am glad the cliques have been busted up because whether people want to admit or not, this site had become extremely one-sided and clique-ish in the Comments section.

As far as not being able to comment on the Obama posts…couldn’t you at least open them for a few comments? Our new president is a great discussion topic, whether you agree with his decisions or not.

CLIQUES?? Oh like kwall kym etc yes i know the “FAM” but it was fun and that kept me rolling and having a good time at work i cant comment as much as i like or used too but i have seen a drastic change from lets say august to now. DRASTIC doesnt seem as “active” or fun and i can see where the personalattacks were out of line( im guilty of it) but a good debate was always fun. Say what you want about Sandra, but she is consistant. Mark my words. Look out for it the next time. It starts with the daily commenters becoming very familiar with each other. We get off topic and start talking about our personal lives which makes us feel like friends even though we don’t know each other from a can of paint. Then we start excluding others who are not in the clique by coming on and greeting each other, i.e., Good Morning Bird, Amulet, Speakingmymind, babysoft15. Right off the bat that identifies who isn’t in the clique. Next thing you know thet buck wild ones in the crew get into cyber spats with others and the other members of the clique join in what becomes a cyber jump. Then they can’t seem to stop. It goes on for a few days before Sandra puts the smack down, but rest assured the smack down is coming.

Thanks for not banning me this time Miss Sandra. I know I got a little out of pocket with whatchamacallit last week.

This blog has always been about cliques. Even from the days of blogspot. Its what makes sandrarose…sandrarose. I’ve always been neutral, so I feel like i have a good feel for everything.

This site is onesided,cuz its sandra’s site. She controls what gets posted, so i dont’ know how it became onesided.

@ donnia. I think Sarah and Kim are pretty but in different ways. On the whole, I don’t think they favor outside of maybe stature and build. Kim is WAY prettier in person, but comes off looking like a racoon-eyed muncheechee (google it) in pics. sorry Kim, I know you read.

So that defines a clique huh? o.k, now I know not to single out any groups to speak to…lol Not that I ever did.

I never looked at them as cliques, I just figured that they’d been on here talking to each other long enough so they were extra cool with each other…like a co worker you see everyday you’re good people with.

There are definately some single posters who taunt too or are asking for an argument. I just try to look over the comments? Some of them need to be cyber-spanked too.

If ppl didn’t make stupid, ignorant comments then maybe there wouldn’t be any cliques. Some people up in here lack common sense and get out of pocket frequently. Plus, alot of regulars on here know each other personally so it’s natural to stick up for your own, when needed.

Just bc this is a blog, that doesn’t mean we can’t sniff out the fake members. And when we sniff out the fake ones, trust, we have and will let them have it. People who try to front and lie about what they do, how much money they make, having secretaries, or being at the inaugeration when they really at home chillin will be put on front street.

Let it go…the simple act of commenting on “it” and referencing when “it” happened, blah, blah, blah…is in essence bringing it up again.

I agree with Bird 100%…we don’t REALLY know each other from a can of paint and the singling out of who you’re “friends” with as well as cyber-jumping people who disagree with the clique are the main reasons i prefer to lurk. it ain’t that serious and i can’t be gettin’ my ‘presha’ and my ‘shuga’ up over no anonymous folks on a blog.

Actually, I SHARE an admin w/ my group, but when Real ATL housewives wrapped, she came to my desk, I mean OFFICE (gotta front for y’all) and just vented about her feelings on each and every character. It was funny, but borderline challenging in that it was kind of hard not to stick up for Ne Ne and her mannerisms/ways, etc.. JUST because she’s black. (admin is white).

And then there’s the coworker who NEVER showed public support for Obama, but came to my OFFICE on 11/5 like “WE did it buddy!”. Unintentional comedy at it’s finest.. Oh… to be back in an office environment in da South…

it’s hard to say things on a blog without the other person knowing you because it’s open to their interpretation as to how they take your comment, but here goes…

when i read your comment, i thought to myself…it’s not that serious. i think we all have read people’s comments and either disagreed with, thought their comment was ignorant, stupid, etc. but i never feel the need to TELL them i think their comment is stupid or “out of pocket” (don’t really know how that applies to commenting) or defend one of the “regulars” if they’re having a cyberspat with someone else.

i guess different folks take stuff differently…what’s stupid to me or you may make perfectly good sense to the other people reading the same comment.

In all fairness, this is not the only blogsite where arguing and bickering are part of the norm. And I agree that when you “talk” to someone everyday online there is a certain sense of familiarity that comes along with it. The thing with emails/blog comments is that you are not always able to read a person’s INTENDED tone. There are instances where it is obvious, but generally it’s left up to personal interpretation. It’s different when you are speaking to someone, you can hear the tone in their voice and you know right away whether they are being sarcastic, argumentative, or just silly. I think everyone would agree that at the end of the day the whole purpose of this, and every other blog, is to entertain.

About the “Good Morning” that some in the room said, I don’t think it was to single anyone out but to those who were already in the room. Those who said “GM” also say GM or hello to who I was too lazy to mention or who I missed. I never got a “GM” shout out but I could care less, unless you are standing in my face or walking in the room I am in, you are not going to get it out of me. LOL.

Hermosa, just inferring that you possibly grew up around and keep the company of “black people”. I guess I can clarify by saying more than the average “Latina” I know on the west coast, where black and brown tend to stick to their own (tend to, not all the time). Crossover appeal might be an appropriate term..

You can take this or leave it, I’m just putting off doing some dreaded work. FYI, I’m the black guy that can outwhite the white guy next to me some time, if that makes you feel better.

Kelly, honestly most of my exp w/ Chi women has been in the A (college), it seemed like they/y’all brought a real big “tough chick” chip on their shoulder down to ATL. That said, even the GF I had from the Chi was mean to me. I’m from the west coast (again), so you know we really don’t have a rash of ultra “bout it” chicks. Everyone is rather laid back and IRIE.

However, when I was in the Chi on biz (staying at a few hotels off of Mich ave I believe), I ventured out to a few spots, one was even kind of “real hip hop” (I think Jurassic 5 performed), and I KEPT encountering these exterior/outwardly “hard” women.

Just one man’s take.

I heard a CHI women will really hold you down, but being older, I don’t put much weight in that quality, unless I was running an illicit enterprise or something… (my 2 centavos)

Seriously, from my experience, most non-blacks that hang around blacks don’t like their race (ie: their differences) dwelled upon. I feel ya, but it beez like dat sometimes!

Speaking of which, Michelle Obama look mean as he77 too! You know she just be punkin’ Obama. I know he went to undergrad in LA, but I am highly suspect of his ability to lay down the law with his woman! (And I’m a big ObamaStan)

Not once has anyone said good morning to me directly, hi, wondered where I was when I didnt post in a while, and I am totally fine with that. I come here to read gossip, laugh at comments and every now and then learn something. There were cliques, so what if people wanna be cool with some people and not others – what difference does it make.

Hopefully I dont sound bitter because no one calls me out, because I am NOT, just saying, what type of weak person leaves a blog because they dont like being called new, or dont like certain people’s comments.

So true. That is why we get so friendly with one another. But then when new folks are let in it’s someone for the regulars to jump on without feeling like they are getting at a “friend”. I’m so bad with names I don’t know who is old and who is new so anytime I see an arguement I’m shocked that we are coming at one another when this is such a small fairly tight knit group. As for the slick comments, there is no misjudgng them. I know when they are directed at me that’s for sure. I try to ignore them and can only hope it will blow over eventually. Saying something only makes matters worse. I don’t like it when people dislike me for reasons I don’t know, but it be’s like that sometime.

I’ll tell you two people I remember and miss like the dickens, HunE and Helluva. They brought the comedy to the room.
