FanMAIL: What’s Wrong With This Picture?
The first time I saw this cover it took me a minute to recognize Michelle Obama. I thought Michelle’s man and kids were hugged up on a Hispanic woman.
I totally agree with loyal reader D. Joseph who said this cover photo of Michelle Obama looks like a cartoon.
Mrs. Obama was airbrushed to the max in order to appeal to Life & Style magazine’s target readers. Michelle Obama is nowhere near Barack’s complexion.
Clearly the white establishment media isn’t comfortable with Michelle’s strong Nubian Afrocentric features in the White House. They can only fully accept her if she looks mixed like Barack and their daughters.

you know white folks dont know how to take black folks pictures. so they might have had the wrong lighting and went into post production to try and clear up some mistakes.

You’re right. That cover is darker than this one, but still lighter than Michelle acutally is. It ain’t that serious. Michelle better make sure she gets her foundation right on inauguration night or Sandra’s gonna be all over her butt, unless she decides to go darker of course.

Looking at the pic more closely, someone in editing messed up. She acutally appears to have bald spots in the front of her head.
I have been waiting to see Fergies wedding dress. Guess thats it on the cover.
They also airbrushed JLo (why? She looked damn good to start with) and Fergie on that same cover… This fcukery has got to stop, I’m calling sharpton, we finna march!
Seriously, we have other things to worry about people, like why is Shell & QT are airbrushing gas prices to make them higher.

Everyone airbrushes pictures and depending on the lighting you may look lighter than you really are. For example my picture makes me appear one shader light than I really am..this happens…and we all know that in the media the lighter you are the better. Things will only change if we stop supporting it until then stop complaining.
