‘We’ deserve this prize because between the 2 of us we manage a household with 4 kids (2 mine from a prev marriage13 &10, 1 his from a prev relationship (10) and 1 of our own (8 mos) hell after dealing with them, we need an outing LOL I cant tell u the last time we had ‘date nite’!!

My hubbys not from Ga,and with the economy the way it is and taking care of our household on the day-to-day. I haven’t been able to really show him how the ATL gets down… anywho I think this would be a great start

I think me and my boo should win because he is such a good man he takes care of our son who is three and with the economy the way it is is when he lost his job my baby went out and got a job at Mrs Winners to keep some kind of income coming into the house. He cooks and cleans and never complains. I know that he feels bad because he can’t do more but like I tell him all the time we are a TEAM and as long as I’m working and can pay for everything him doing what he does is enough for me. You know how your family can try and tear you down, I don’t let that happen cuz I know how times were before and like I told him as long as you love me and I love you we got this!!!! So I would love to win the tickets to take him somewhere that might let him feel good.

Good Morning SR Family,

I truly feel that my husband deserves to accompany me to this private dinner. My husband is currently protecting us all and has served 19 long courageous years as a Submariner in the US Navy. As a Chief Petty Officer my boo works very hard with long hours at times to keep us all safe. He tough on the outside, but an absoulute sweety at home. He takes care of his children, in addition to being a mentor for his son’s younger brother whom is not his child. He will not provide for his son without making sure the little brother is included. I love him for that and thinks he deserves a real treat since he has been putting in double duties at work from the 1st of the year. Tons of work with no play:-( If we are chosen, I know he would be greatful and truly enjoy himself to such an event. Thanks:-)

I would love to win this dinner date – not to only be around celebrities but to play “grown-up” for a night and just do grown folk stuff. I have two kids of my own and went through a BITTER-BITTER divorce about 2 yrs ago. Did I mention BITTER. X-hubby would not work, eventually lost house, car repo’d etc…he takes off cause I’m trippin that he cant get it together and leaves HIS daughter here. So I still have her. Anyhoo.. its been 2 yrs and I’m slowly bouncin back. Got a friend now that who has hung in there with me since we met without a complaint. Dont care about my past – just cares about me and mines. So I would love to show my appreciation to him by just going to a nice dinner (without my 3 kids and his 2) for once!!. Thx

Luvly… You almost made me cry girl. That is what I call a man.. Mrs. Winners is not the job thats hot in the streets, but it pays cash that IS. Nothing is worse that a lazy man that will lay up in the house with his crust behind, too good to work….all while his woman is out grinding. Give him a pat on the back for me.

Wow, so many gutwrenching stories, all of them true. Makes me feel more grateful about my situation. My wife was laid off 2 weeks before Xmas, but she just got accepted an offer earlier this week.

The lesson I’m learning is that MANY of us (people, banks, countries, cities, etc..) are severely Over Leveraged, in terms of debt and obligations..

I read that the national saving level is actually negative for the past few years, meaning people have been buying things w/ a cumulative value greater than their annual salary. This is accomplished through debt, that was previously cheap and plentiful, and now is like a needle in a haystack.

Anybody from TN? I recall the Mrs. Winners out there being co-branded, ie: Mrs. Winners/ _______ (some other name).

The chicken was WAAAY better too. Kind of like Bojangles in SC vs. Bojangles in GA… (the former being way better)

DOn’t hop down off the soap box Intown..you are enlightening us and that’s to be applauded. This recession is no cake walk. My boyfriend got laid off January 2. It makes this recession a lot more “real” when you are affected directly and not just listening to stats on the 6 o’clock news.
