‘Notorious’ Actor is a Wife Beater

Kicked in the door waving the 44,
All I heard is poppa don’t hit me no more!

Fox/ Searchlight pictures managed to keep this story under wraps. According to The New York Post, ‘Notorious’ star Jamal “Gravy” Woolard has a criminal past.

The rapper who plays Notorious B.I.G. in new biopic “Notorious” recently caught a case for beating down his wife in a domestic dispute.

court paperwork obtained by the New York Post apparently shows the new star was charged with misdemeanor assault, menacing and harassment after a domestic incident last September (08).

A source tells the publication that Woolard’s spouse, Trina Younger, phoned emergency services after the pair had an altercation when Woolard returned home late.

But Younger’s mother, who is currently living with the couple as Woolard promotes the film, is adamant there was no violence involved.

She says, “I know he wouldn’t hit her. He’s not like that. Most definitely, they have a good relationship. That’s impossible, I think it’s made up. He’s a loving husband and I never heard of anything like that before in my life.”
The couple has been married for seven months and together for five years. (link 1) (link 2)

According to the New York Post article that you mention, but don’t list as a source with a link, the wife pushed him repeatedly (which is also assualt) and dared him to hit her so he finally hauled of and slapped her. I’m saying it’s right, but I’m not going to make him out to be a vicious wife beater when the truth is she put her hands on him multiple times first.

I refuse to give the DMV more money. I did not change my last name until one year after being married and did it because I have to renew my drivers license.

    Married couples fight sometimes.

I mean how can you live with someone everyday and not shake them up or something. Me and my cat even have battles sometimes when he scratches me and runs. It doesn’t make you a criminal because you get into little scruffles with your mate or family as long as no one is bleeding to badly and laid out ;o)

My nephew was raised to understand that a man does not hit a woman — period! She is much smaller and easily injured. If a man can’t defend himself against a little woman without striking her then he’s not much of a man.

@kcicero, I have seen my mom hit my dad. He has NEVER hit her, but he’ll walk away laughing sometimes.

Whether it’s just the woman hitting the man only, it’s still a fight to me. But I have seen some women OVERLY hitting men, and I kind of don’t see anything wrong with the man pushing or holding the woman.

I’m too silly to fight a man cause as soon as they get in my face screaming, I start smiling.

    licia says:

sandra that’s all good , but no woman has a right to hit a man FIRST knowing that she can’t win the fight.

i know i am gonna make some enemies with that statement . just be gentle with me . lol

    kcicero says:

    Haha

I too have seen my mother hit my father but he has NEVER hit her. I agree with Sandra a man SHOULD NEVER HIT A WOMAN NO MATTER WHAT. WALK AWAY IF YOU DON’T THEN YOU ARE OFFICIALLY A SISSY AND IN NEED OF A QUICK JOB :shots: BY MY BROTHER.

Ok they may hate me too but I tell my son do not hit first but if some little girl hits you hit her back. This little heffa scratched up my son’s arms because he didn’t wan’t to play house with her. He still won’t hit a girl saying he can’t he asked my niece to beat her up which my 6 year old ghetto queen niece happily obliged.

    Bird says:

    Sandra,

I agree that a man shouldn’t hit a woman, but it is equally bad for a woman to hit a man. The solution is probably to walk away, but since the story says they were fighting because he stayed out too late, she probably wouldn’t feel him leaving and might block the door or something. Relationships are not cut and dried. I hope they get it together.

    NO ONE SHOULD BE HITTING-PERIOD!!
I mean this sincerely and from the bottom of my heart:

If you are involved with someone who physically strikes you i.e. slap, punch and/or shakes you vigorously or gets you so mad, aggravated, etc to where you WANT to hit them; it’s time to pack your things and go! :cya:

    kcicero says:

@ Shuna I understand what you’re saying. A girl also scratched my sons face but he has a little sister and what would it look like if I say hit that girl but when his sister hits him I say no you can’t hit her back. I just think that it sends mixed messages. So bottom line a man should never hit a woman just walk away.

    Amulet says:

I say don’t hit anyone period, without expecting them to hit you back.

That is the way the “good” men from my hood handle it. They might not lay hands on you, but they are going to find a female they know can beat you down to handle their dirty work when it comes to women who hit.

I am glad he doesn’t listen to it but we live around all girls and I get pissed when they think they can order him around and beat him up. He is good at having my niece beat them up. She has issues with anyone who touches him. He is 7 and she is 6 exactly 1 year and 1 month apart.

I don’t like that. A fight between me and A, is only between me and A, not B. If A has to get B, then that’s ridiculous.

You’re a pretty tough cookie. Don’t forget the hitting shouldn’t occur in the first place. If a woman hits a man really anything can go from that point on. Whether he wants to hit her or get his cousin ReRe to do it. I would think the hitting woman would prefer to go up against another woman because if that man clocks her one good time the fight is over.

  36. 36
    kcicero says:

@ Shunda I understand that any woman would do at that point, lol.

I’ve fought boys twice in my life and both time other men who saw it jumped in it and kicked his arse. I have/had a big mouth and always had action to back it up.

I’m not going to allow anyone man or woman disrespect me. If a woman hits a man walk away…Men if a woman says something you don’t like that really hurts you’re manhood walk away. That is what a REAL man does.

  37. 37
    kcicero says:

@ Amulet you must didn’t grow up in the hood. Often times if you were fighting B then you better prepared to fight C,D,E, and F that’s just the way it is sometimes. Im not condoning it either.

    yvonne79 says:

@KCICERO: Amen, to that. Folks crew stayed posted up in the cut just in case someone decided to jump in

Bird, I don’t think I would ever try to fight a man, but I definitely wouldn’t want to fight some woman that I don’t have a problem with in lieu of him.

    Amulet says:

@kcicero, I grew up in the hood, in the south, in an old school neighborhood. I use to hit a lot of boys (some would hit me back and some wouldn’t) and I remember one time one of their sisters did jump in it too. I beat them both up. And then we played the next day after their mother told my dad on me.

  41. 41
    kcicero says:

Amulet I get so many mixed messages from you. First you say you wouldn’t hit a man then you say that you hit boys…? So its okay to hit a boy but not a man? I’m confused
