AHH: Jermaine is Fired From Def Jam For Real This time
You know how these industry rumors go: AllHipHop.com has learned exclusively that Atlanta-based producer Jermaine Dupri’s tenure as President of Island Records Urban Music has come to an end.
Is this really news? What exactly did JD do as president of Def Jam? Why do major labels insist upon giving top tier positions to unqualified people who don’t even hold a high school diploma much less a business degree? I’m not saying JD personally because he has more than proven his ability to run a record company.
But the industry is being run into the ground by unqualified people who haven’t a clue what they are doing.
It seems Def Jam has a history of creating fictional jobs and parceling them out to their homies. Similar to what Barack Obama is doing with those cabinet positions in the White House. Anyway, a formal announcement is expected soon although I could have sworn JD was terminated from this very same job a few months back.
FanMAIL: Does Blogger Necole Bitchie Have Self Hate Issues?

Hi Sandra, Love love love the website. Honestly I find it saddening when black women do things like this. (*cough* Beyonce) I myself am a black woman and I feel like I have reverse self hate issues. I WISH I was DARKER, I would say my complexion is around the real complexion of Necole Bitchie posted on your website, but its something about a dark skin I find beautiful and regal.
Unfortunately my family is full of different nationalities (but I represent for my black people) I’d prefer to be darker and I sometimes where foundation darker than my real complexion on purpose. I’ve come to the realization that some black woman especially industry ones get pulled into the light is right syndrome. The lighter they are the more beautiful they feel, black women aren’t represented properly in the entertainment industry, when I see my people I see beauty in full lips, and various nose shapes and various colors, I find nothing beautiful about pasty white skin, (no offense to those with no pigment) I just thought I’d share my thoughts.

Celebs Out & About: Notorious NYC Premiere (1/7)
Rapper Jamal Woolard, aka Gravy, played Biggie. I hear he did the best he could with his limited acting skills. Naturi Naughton played Lil Kim.
Singer Faith Evans attended with Biggie’s son, left, and her other kids.
Dr. Drew has all the pics from last night’s premiere of the Notorious B.I.G. biopic in NYC last night. I really don’t give this movie much hope at the box office based on the trailers that I’ve seen.
All the stars attended the premiere except for Lil Kim who objected to the film’s depiction of her.
Biggie’s mom Voletta Wallace did try to reach out to Lil Kim because she wasn’t aware that Kim endured such abuse at the hands of her son. She tells Essence magazine:
“I would love to speak to Lil’ Kim, because I need to ask more about this love relationship because I really didn’t like the way he treated her and I’m praying that that’s not it. Only she can answer those questions. She’s a sweet girl and I didn’t think she deserved to be treated the way he treated her, if that’s the case.”

Morning Glory: Natasha By Request
Loyal reader Bird requested Natasha for today’s Morning Glory. Natasha is the former “BET Hell Date Season 2″ contestant who emailed me yesterday because she saw her photo used in a flyer advertising the wildly popular Investment Club Wednesdays at Luckie’s.
I also spoke last night with Hannah Kang, one of the promoters of Investment Club Nights at Luckie’s, who said Natasha would be given the VIP treatment if she wanted to come out!
Does Blogger Necole Bitchie Have Self Hate Issues?
Last night I was on the phone with another female blogger who asked me if I’d seen fellow blogger Necole Bitchie’s new photos yet. I hadn’t so I went to Necole’s blog to see for myself.
Once on Necole’s blog, I observed a header image photographed by Derek Blanks that depicted a surreal scene of two women.
It took me a moment to realize I was looking at two images of Necole. One image was decidedly lighter than the other. But both images were lighter than Necole appears in person.
Now I wouldn’t be bringing this up at all if I hadn’t noticed in the past that Necole, who is very beautiful in her brown skin, tends to take studio shots that render her 10 shades lighter than she actually is.
Just as it offended me when Michael Jackson transformed himself into a white woman, it offends me to see a beautiful black sistah erase her blackness deliberately.

Peeping Tom Ne-Yo Catches Jeezy Naked
Ne-Yo has long been the subject of gay rumors and now those rumors have been laid to rest by the man himself.
Ne-Yo recently purchased a home right next door to Jeezy in an exclusive gated community in Atlanta. That isn’t unusual. Celebrity’s homes are often clustered together in the same neighborhood.
But Ne-Yo shocked everyone by telling an interviewer that he often spots Jeezy walking naked around his crib. The brazen brotha even picked up the phone to call Jeezy and let him know he’s watching his hot bod.
Ne-Yo told People magazine, “Just chillin’ one day, I was like, ‘Is that… Jeezy? “I hit him up: ‘Yo, you probably shouldn’t walk around naked – I can see you.”
But anybody can see right through Ne-Yo. For me to notice my neighbor walking around his house naked, I would have to be really LOOKING. And if I saw him in his birthday suit I for damn sure wouldn’t pick up the phone to call him and let him know I’m watching and I saw him naked — unless I wanted him to know.
Now in Ne-Yo’s defense, I can’t blame him. Even straight men have noticed Jeezy’s swagga has increased exponentially since he dropped the extra weight and grew a goatee. Hell, even I’m noticing how fine Jeezy got all of a sudden, and you know I don’t swing that way!
What else is there left to say? A man will eventually give up the clues to his sexual orientation if you’re patient enough to wait.

Beyonce Losing the Battle of the Bulge Again?
While other blogs are fawning over Beyonce, you know I’ma always keep it real with you. Beyonce and her big knees hit the red carpet at the Notorious premiere in NYC last night.
Don’t get me wrong, I love thick, voluptuous women, but Bey is far from that. She’s not proportioned well at all. A woman’s calves and knees should never be bigger than her thighs. Big knees and calves are an unnecessary distraction. Your eye goes straight to her big calves which makes her feet look enormous.
Instead of hitting the red carpet maybe Bey should hit the gym?
