Video: Barack and Michelle Obama’s First Dance
Beyonce sang “At Last” for Barack Obama as he and Michelle danced his first dance as POTUS. I have to hand it to Beyonce, even though she lip synced the entire song, she did a great job. She realized she wasn’t the center of attention and didn’t try to show up the first couple.

Sandra, I did not know that you had it in you to post the “first” dance of our PRESIDENT AND FIRST LADY. I now know why. Bey, sang the song and did a good job. LOL.
i don’t believe she lipped anything ( i would be the first to say it lol). she sounded good though ( see i can be nice to bey bey . i stole that for e-love.)

Anyone who was watching CNN missed it. Thank goodness I thought to search for another channel to watch when they stopped showing the performance not long after it started. I went to an inaugural ball in Charlotte that had CNN on the big screen all night. They all missed the performance. I purposely didn’t leave until I saw it and it was worth it. Just beautiful.
Also big up to the cameramen who kept the camera on the president and first lady the vast majority of the dance. B did a great job surrendering the spotlight. I was very proud of her. No one can say she isn’t the consumate professional.
Now that I’ve watched the video I just got say, DAMN our president is FINE!
BIRD, DID YOU CATCH THE VIDEO I HAD POSTED OF JEEZY IN WASHINGTON THE OTHER NIGHT? YOU WERE QUESTIONING IF HE WAS THERE IN ONE OF THE PREVIOUS POSTS. YES BEYONCE DID A GREAT JOB SERENADING OUR PRESIDENT AND HIS WIFE. THE WHOLE PERFPORMANCE WAS BEAUTIFUL, THEY DEFINITELY LOVE AND RESPECT EACH OTHER, IT WAS WRITTEN ALL OVER THEIR FACE. LIP SYNCH, NOT SANDRA, THE GIRL JUST HAS A NICE VOICE. THEY INTERVIEWED HER AFTER HER PERFORMANCE, SHE SAID THAT IT WAS ONE THE BEST DAYS OF HER LIFE, BOUGHT HER TO TEARS. I CAN UNDERSTAND BECAUSE I CAUGHT MYSELF CRYING THROUGH OUT THE INAGURATION PROCESS. BEAUTIFUL JOB MR. PRESIDENT AS WELL AS MICHELLE AND BEYONCE.

BEYONCE INTERVIREW AFTER PERFORMANCE WITH BEBORAH ROBERTS
I thought Beyonce did a great job but there were spots where I could definitely tell she was lip singing. She was clearly emotional so they probably decided to prerecord to avoid her voice breaking…but for once I have to
she let the first couple shine and not her rifts 
I thought Bey as well as everyone else did a great job. I love the fact that despite the new position Obama kept it “black”. I can’t remember ever seeing a POTUS dance & they was getting down. Mary tore it down and got emotional when they introduced them.
Did anyone see the show after the show where they did interviews. Beyonce as humble as she was needs to know that it’s okay to show emotion. She kinda turned me off when she said she was embarressed for crying. Bish we was all crying we lived to see history made, You were apart of that history.
& Jay Z is the resident cornball, even though I loved the last verse of that song. Bey you couldn’t get him to show respect for the POTUS and make him take off those damn glasses.

All I can say is this: Black Love is beautiful! Watching the First Lady and President Obama interact with one another is truly inspiring. You can tell how they gaze into one another’s eyes that these two truly love, respect and admire one another. It’s a beautiful thing to see indeed.

she lip synched but it was for the best. she did a good rendition of the song. however, i wish he had used one of the older artists who was around for the struggle. beyonce don’t know nothing bout that but oh well…. what’s done is done. maybe now we can annoint her DIVA.

I cried through the entire song..and not because of bey’s screeching this time. The Obamas were so beautiful to watch. Bey had no choice but to relinquish the spotlight cause all eyes were on the stars of the evening :notworthy: .

I think Beyonce was putting on. There’s nothing genuine about her. Hint: Not calling Jennifer Hudson after her family tradegy. She didn’t support Obamas until it was the “IT” thing to do and safe for her career. Then, she’s all on tv begging to sing for them. I wasn’t impressed.

I am not sure if B lip sang or not but I will say I felt her tears were real and I was impressed she showed so much emotions but IMO had she not begged I mean put it out there in every other interview it would have meant more. I did not like Bs dress but I thought she did look good.
I loved AKeys dress and MJB looked nice as well.

daisy i think mariah did good considering the state of her voice. if i compared this performance to a few others at the beginning of last year i would say it was wayyyyy better. it was hella funny when she was singing that stevie song and the camera went to her. she looked like a deer caught in headlights. lmao
@Licia my sister is the number 1 MC fan and she has a daughter named Mariah to prove it and she even talked about her..lol She said MC must have been sick cause that was a hot mess..lol She rarely talks about her beloved MC..lol

@ daisy i am a number 1 mc fan myself( as if u didn’t know lol), but i got no problem with giving her h*ll when she’s not doing stuff right. i think it was her nerves. scared she’s gonna mess up because she knows she doesn’t have the great voice she used to have . i give her props for singing live though.

Girl its ok to be a stan..lol I stan hard for Akeys went all the way to Aruba to see her in concert ran into a her manager and personal assistant but never her. We were staying on the same floor as her. I still want to cry when I think about how close I was yet so far..lol

When did it become a crime to have a freaking opinion? Well I’m sorry if I don’t bow down to Beyonce…I don’t have any hero’s except myself. No celebrity out there can encompass who I am as a woman and that’s all I’m going to say on the matter.
munchos i think that the problem is that everyone goes into it thinking that they are gonna get 1990′s vocals when she clearly cannot sing like she did in the past. i still have hope that she can do better at her performances if she realizes that the vocal acrobats of yesterday can no longer be a part of her act. she needs to just sing songs that she is able to sing and stop trying to do things that she is not able to do. her voice may be diminishing but no one can take away all of her achievements and what she has done for the industry.
@Munch I will have a wonderful year and she said in more than ONE interview she was open to sing or do whatever was needed thats a FACT! Thats her right and it got her what she wanted in the end. But I will call a spade a spade! It kills me that you can give B props but ppl stans fans will always go back to something they percieve to be negative and go on a tangenet about it. Next!
@licia I will co sign that MC is the real deal Diva and has never made any bones about it. She can write a real song and is on her #1 single game like no other. Did you notice she had MC on her bedazzeled mic..lol Gotta love her.

Beyonce did an EXCELLENT job. The Obama’s looked great. Jay Z did a wonderful job also. No matter what the internet says, they still ALWAYS fans that will support them. Did you see the crowd when Jay Z was performing? They were so into him. I felt he was rapping from his heart (as usual). Forget what he looked like. Congrats to all the performers last night. ^^ i can agree with that. the did an interview with her on sunday for the new ballads cd and they showed some footage from one of her old concerts. she was getting it. moving around, singing , and enjoying herself. she knows she doesn’t have that power and it shows when she performs now. she’s scared out of her mind.

The dance was beautiful, and I’m happy that the FIRST, first dance was among the people. I bet that was their favorite one. I saw some of the others and they were just ok with the marching bands and such playing, But Mrs. Carter, SHE DID THAT!!
