Now this is the old DMX we’re all used to. The rapper who ruled the charts before the drugs and the arrests. My FOX Phoenix spoke with the incarcerated rapper exclusively at the Maricopa County Jail yesterday.

i am so glad that DMX answered these questions intelligently. i figured it was a white interviewer. he was trying so hard to pull dmx down with those questions. they, meaning the white man, thinks their lives and children are so perfect. that is why little johnny builds bombs in his bedroom right under his parents nose. that is why little johnny takes guns to school and shoots it up and then takes his own life. i am sorry i am rambling along, but i hate how white interviewers questions blacks. enough about the interviewer, this is the dmx i miss, i pray he will do well when he is released. obviously this interview was before his house was foreclosed and robbed.

When I was reaching my teenage years, after Pac and BIG had passed, DMX was the heir to the throne!! more so than Jay-Z, Nas, or anybody….If this man could stay sober and narcotic free, he could be considered as one of the greatest to ever do this music thing….continued blessings to my brother.

Not only is X an force in the music world but his acting is on par with all the big names (and in some instances it surpassed them!).

I certainly do wish him and his family well and hope that once he’s back on top, he is more careful about who he entrusts his financial solvency to. It’s a crying shame that he’s lost that kind of money.

I am so glad that Mr. Simmons is answering the call that God has on his life. I have been wanting this Brother to get it together for a long time. He defintley has the special aura around him,. Otherwise, the adversary would not be working so hard to trip him up. I am glad to see him face his obstacles head on. I truly wish him the best, considering he has a lot of kids to support and raise.

First and foremost I want to say I love DMX. I feel in love with him on Belly. WOW! When I saw him on Belly, it was the sex scene (which was super hot…lol), it was not the gang banging or the bad drug dealer. It was the way he and NAS spoke in the film. Yes its scripted UNTIL I saw DMX on a show when he went back to his old project. And he got up there to speak to kids and he wrote a song and started to cry….and I was touched. He speaks sooo well. In his songs on his last CD…he spoke about god allot. My heart kept telling me….he will be a preacher someday. This guys calling is preaching. My cousins can tell you…I keep telling them WATCH…ONE DAY…DMX will be a preacher…before I die…his calling is to preach.
But call me crazy….but when it happens I will be glad and happy to say my heart spoke right and I told you so!
TO DMX: DMX I know you are down right now….but I am praying for you. You will be ok. You are God’s Child and I cant wait unitl you come back to bring us GREAT MUSIC!

i have been praying for dmx for so long it feels like forever. i was a serious ruff ryder fan back in the day. drag-on, eve, x, swizz and my all time faves….the lox. when they broke free of p.shytty it was ON. come on x man…. it is time for you to get your stuff together dawg. still rooting for him….

I love DMX. I was in highschool when his first album dropped and then less then a year later the second one dropped. He was the biggest name in hip hop at the time–1998 and 1999. This man was a poet, like he tells the interview. Such vivid lyrics and meaningful lyrics. If he can stay away from the crack long enough, he still has the creativity in him.

But when did he get 8 kids. I thought he and his wife had about 4 or 5. And then I know he had a kid w/ the girl he said rapped him. And a fiance? I guess him and Twanna (or whatever his wife’s name was) left him for good.

words cannot express how much luv i got for dmx,always have and always will…X has always fought with his true calling,he would be on stage cursing like a sailor and then just break out praying and i always felt it was because he felt guilty and didnt know how to stop….i swear when i heard him on that touch it remix my eyes lit it….that was the best part of the WHOLE song….i love all of dmx’s music like someone else said no matter what genre and if he drops a gospel album i am all over it…i prayed for him a couple of times…i so want him to get it together….and the part about the pink i feel is a bit disrespectful,like whats that about??…but he spoke so well and he seemed content to say the least….i just hope it doesnt always come down to him going to jail to realize that he’s messing up. I Love DMX as well. And this is not the first time he has talked about being called to preach. Every since his first album it was something about his prayer skit. When he prayed it wasn’t fake. It came from the heart.

Aw Earl!! I believe in you. I CANNOT WAITTTTTTT for him to come with some new ish. I have always been a fan and am so happy to see him speaking clearly and not slurring like he had been lately. He’s been speaking on being a pastor for a while now, shiiiit if Mase can do it, why not D. He has always spoke of his love of the Lord, always has a prayer on his cds. To me, …Then there was X is his best cd.
