Barack Obama, who has repeatedly denied being a Muslim or practicing the Muslim faith, quoted the Qur’an during the traditional February National Prayer Breakfast this morning.
According to online reports, Obama quoted from a Hadith “from the sayings and actions of Mohammad, the prophet of Islam, in an attempt to show all great religions have a concept of the golden rule…”
Said Obama:
Jesus told us to “love thy neighbor as thyself.” The Torah commands, “That which is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow.” In Islam, there’s a hadith that reads “None of you truly believes until he wishes for his brother what he wishes for himself.
But according to Ztruth:
The same hadith is reported by Bukhari 1.2.12
“The Prophet said, “None of you will have faith till he wishes for his (Muslim) brother what he likes for himself.” [LINK]
Isn’t it great that an American president knows scriptures from the Hadith and Qur’an?

i think it’s awesome we have a president that is unafraid to quote the Bible, the Torah, the Hadith and the Qur’an.

Clearly he was pointing out that multiple religions have the same or at least a similar passage in their “word” to the Bible. It shows he is well versed and he studies more than one religion, which I respect as a man running a country with multiple religions under his leadership!

WOW is all I can say…
I have been visiting this site for a long time now because it used to have exclusive gossip and stories that weren’t being reported in the mainstream media. Now it has turned into an Obama obsessed blog. Where there (at least it seems like) 1 gossip post for every 5 Obama posts. I wish things could be the way they used to be because its just getting ridiculous now. A quick google of the Golden rule will show that it doesn’t belong to Christianity. In scholarly circles it is referred to as the ethic of reciprocity and every religion be it a major or obscure one adheres to it as a basic tenet of their belief system. Because it was a NATIONAL PRAYER BREAKFAST and this country is comprised of the three major world religions he referenced commonalities from each. It’s what intelligent people do: analyze, compare, and infer. The inference here being we are more alike than we think.
Sandra I implore you go back to what you do best, tracking down juicy gossip for the masses and leave the Obama minutiae.
Even if Obama is a Muslim, as you claim Sandra, is there a law against that? I’m just wondering, does the US president have to be Christian?
And also, maybe he does not practice to the Muslim faith, but is sympathetic to their culture and religion. Is that so wrong?

10 or 15 yrs ago, i use to be a marketing rep to convince stores and i could speak a lil Arabic because they taught it to me. and it made me number one because people love to be address by there real name whether muslin, Russian or African. i am America loving flag displaying 20 yr voting citizen that know that it take a country full of people with different backgrounds to survive. i dont hate Muslims and understand that’s truly informed people can read and quote many different passages. you know 40 yrs ago, you could replace Muslim with negro and it would still be hate.
