Source: No Truth To Rumors Tameka Foster is Brain Damaged
A source close to Tameka Foster-Raymond reached out to Sandrarose.com yesterday to dispute widespread rumors about Tameka’s condition following a botched plastic surgery in Brazil.
As you know, this story came to light on Saturday (2/7) when Usher abruptly canceled his appearance at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party to rush to his wife’s bedside at a hospital in Brazil following “complications” from plastic surgery.
According to my source, Tameka is not brain dead or brain damaged as is being widely reported on certain blogs. She also did not sustain damage to her face or body during the procedure.
The source said Brazilian doctors performing a “cosmetic procedure” on Tameka had “difficulty waking her up” from the anesthesia following the surgery. She was transported to Sirio-Libanes Hospital in Sao Paulo where there was no neuro specialist on staff.
Cedars Sinai neurosurgeon Dr. Gabriel E. Hunt was flown into Brazil by Usher to consult with Brazilian doctors on his wife’s case, which is said to be serious. The source told us that at no time was Tameka deprived of oxygen during the procedure.
There is also no truth to the rumors that Dr. Hunt was flown in to determine the extent of brain damage. “This rumor is false. She’s fine.” said my source, who refused to say if Tameka was awake and communicating.
She also refused to confirm reports out of Brazil that Tameka suffered cardiac and respiratory arrest during a liposuction procedure.
Usher’s publicist, Simone Smalls, released a statement yesterday saying Tameka’s condition was “stable” and “the family requests privacy at this difficult time.”
It isn’t unusual for a patient to react adversely to anesthesia. But as long as the patient isn’t deprived of oxygen, and she has access to top quality intensive care, she can make a full recovery.
Many celebs and adult entertainers make the trip to Brazil where expert plastic surgeons perform cosmetic surgery at economical prices.

Gosh, I didn’t hear she was suppose to be brain dead. I heard she didn’t wake up after the procedures because she may have received too much anesthesia. Supposedly, she had a tummy tuck and lipo.
I was just thinking how the Tameka situation was HUGE news for about 15 minutes until the Chris and Rihanna story came out. So if Ush and nem want privacy, they got it. My prayers are with them.

The Usher camp won’t utter a word about the condition of Mrs. Usher, Tameka Foster, but the Brazilian media has been able to uncover a few details.
Reports say Mrs. Usher was rushed into intensive care on Friday, after a medical emergency during a liposuction operation Sao Paolo.
She supposedly suffered cardiac and respiratory arrest as she was being anesthetized for the cosmetic surgery.
The LA neurosurgeon who was flown to Brazil to tend to Foster left the country on Monday and refused to answer questions from reporters assembled outside of the hospital.

I don’t believe that was it. She had two babies back to back and I think she is doing this for herself as well as her husband. Plastic surgery is not just for changing ones face.
UMMM… Seem slike I would have waited until my 6 weeks post-natal follow -up before I decided to risk my life to some cosmetic surgical procedure, thus potentially leaving my kids without a mother and my ’stay-ready’ husband without a wife…

Being that she just had a baby and had a baby in 2007, she probably didn’t pass the clearance to have plastic surgery by a notable surgeon in America, so she went to Brazil. I know the reason why people go overseas, but saving money was not the reason in this case.
I just hope she will pull through and that she really is doing well.
This was more to compete with Usher’s wandering eye than anything else..she may say he loves me stretch marks and all but it’s obvious there’s insecurity there..I hope she makes it out alright for her children’s sake for the most part and realize how important she is to her family..not the so called competition
