Brandy: I would have to say Beyonce; I really like her style a lot. I think she is one of the greatest singers of our time, one of the greatest performers of our time. I really like her a lot. I really like Rihanna a lot; I think her voice is so unique. She sings songs that really put her vocals out there. Who else do I like? I like of lot of people. Of course, Mary J. Blige and Alicia Keys, they’re great as well – I would also say I’m inspired by them also. The new girl on the scene, Jazmine Sullivan! I think she is unbelievable. I’ve known about her for a very long time – before anyone else knew of her. She’s always been great and I’m so happy to see everything happening for her the way it is.

Aw Brandy, where has your Never Say Never years gone? That’s one of my all time fav CDs.

Quit sweating Bey. She is o.k but just that o.k and one of the most overrated artist (Chris Brown being another).

I heard that Brandy and Kelly got tight for a minute and Brandy told her that she needed to get out of Bey’s shadow and do her own thing and it somehow got back to the cult..I mean the Knowles and Kelly put the kaputs on the friendship. Has anyone else heard this before? Maybe Brandy is trying to make up.

The funniest thing about the show was that 75% of the women were taller than him. I did like that he didn’t have all stick girls though. That drag queen is going to me a mess (the one split dancing in that purple).

I see no evidence of her having been inspired by those people. The music I have heard from her current album is that same ole techno R&B garbage that these producers have yet to get through there skulls that we don’t want. I’m sorry she fell for the okie doke like Usher whose last album full of techno R&B has yet to even reach gold 33 weeks after it’s release.

I loved Moesha (everybody say Moesha).

I love VH1 but that Ray J show was awful. They need to either change it up a bit or try something else. I’m sick of the watered down Flavor of love show. A bunch of whores vying to find love for money (because the longer they stay on the show the more they get paid.)

Some of the women were stupid enough to tell him that they were there to help their careers, guess they don’t watch much reality tv but just want to be on one. R Jay’s attitude sucks, when I see ppl like that all cool points and attractiveness goes out the window. That goes for Eddie Winslow Jr(Family Matters) I thought he turned into a handsome young man with a nice body. I changed my mind, he too is an ass. I can’t stand these boys who were on tv shows and grow up to become deceiftul disrespectful men. I too was channel surfing when I came upon Ray J’s show. I am sure I will forget about it next Monday.

off topic…as crazy as it sounds, i think Bey may have encouraged Kelly to leave her father’s management. Bey has said herself that it’s a struggle at times with her father as her manager. don’t believe that just because she’s his daughter that she can’t look at him through a different lens as a businesswoman, as well as a creative person wanting creative freedom to run her career as she sees fit.

on topic…I hope Brandy stays on the scene musically, as well as going back to acting. Moesha was the bomb!

I agree with you Bird. Brandy’s last album was garbage. She’s probably praising Bey because deep down inside Bey has the career Brandy wishes she had. I’m not a Bey fan but she is one of the greatest performers in the R&B game right now. Even at the height of her popularity in the 90’s, Brandy never even came close.

If I were Brandy, I’d stop with the interviews about the whole car crash fiasco and concentrate on becoming a better performer. And get some hit songs too……..

Is anyone else noticing how the media is coming at Jennifer Hudson saying she lip synched her performance BUT has put NO focus on Faith Hill also lip synching?

I cannot understand why the producer of the Superbowl was so quick to release a statement saying she didn’t sing live anyway. What was his point? Have you ever heard a statement released at any other Superbowl?

I’m gonna keep watching the Ray J show because it has the potential to be as trifling as I like a reality show to be, but the weakest link on the show is Ray J. He’s no Flav. He seems unnatural and uncomfortable with the ladies and really didn’t know what to say most of the time. I’m hoping he will losen up so I can get the ghetto fabulousness I need from the show. I Love Money 2 was pretty good though.

all superbowls are like that they all lip sing even Beyonce did when she performed for the superbowl. The only person to do it live was Whitney and thats because she had it like that. Live or not its still her vocie.

People always lip synch (sp?) at the Super Bowl. The problem with Jen is it was REALLY obvious. Whitney Houston’s historic appearance there was not live either. It’s no big deal because it is THEM not enhanced by studio tricks. They did pull off that stellar performance. My fiance asked me why they do that and I said I figure they want to make sure the National Anthem is flawless and beautiful. No missed notes, no sore throat issues, etc. I didn’t think it was a big deal.

My sister tried to tell me Beyonce sang live at the inauguration ball. LOL Please people cant tell half the time but when you cant her breathing and you see movement and no change in voice thats lip singing all the way.

Yeah I Love Money 2 is going to be off the chain. I thought that Ray J was really uncomfortable too.

Now for the lip sync. They did state that Whitney’s version wasn’t live BUT we didn’t find out the very next day in a statement from the producer of the Superbowl now did we. Beyonce’s wasn’t live, no statement either. I don’t get this guys agenda about “releasing a statement” to say this at all. I’ve heard that most if not all versions are not sang live for the Superbowl but I was really surprised about how quick they were to rat out Jennifer especially after this being her first time back in public performance.

I don’t think it’s a big deal either but it’s getting a lot of press and the haters are lurking.

Yeah, I’m a fan of both Brandy and Monica too but I LOVED Miss Thang so when they first came out I was more of a Monica fan then Brandy came with Never Say Never and shut it down.

Usually when someone inspires us they are older or a family member. Not sure why Brandy picked Bey or Rhi. I’m with Toi, I thought she would pic Whitney. Dont play yourself short like this Girl, you still got it, just take some time out and find it. I know Beyonce really doesnt inspire you.
