Actress Taraji P. Henson showed some love to singer Esperenza Spaulding at Prince’s “The Purple Party” For LotusFlow3r.com in Hollywood last night following the Oscars. LotusFlow3r.com is a new website named for one of the three albums Prince will supposedly release this year.

At Prince’s party, Taraji was joined on the sofa by playwright/director Tyler Perry, singer Alicia Keys and her mother. If Tyler was a nice guy (he’s only nice if you’re “somebody”) — I would mention the fact that his movie “Madea Goes to Jail” topped the box office this weekend with an impressive $41 million, making this the biggest opening weekend for the “Madea” series and for the film’s distributor. But since Tyler is not a nice guy — I won’t bother to mention any of that.

Actress Meagan Goode was on the guest list at Prince’s party, but she showed up fashionably late as she always does. Still, Meagan wasn’t as bad as Prince, who finally arrived around 4:45 a.m. eastern time. At least he performed, which must have been some treat for his hand-picked guests.

2. No one can accuse Megs of being a fashionista that’s for sure. And why report Prince’s eastern time arrival when the party was in Cali? It was an after party for a show that was still on when I went to bed at 11:15 so him arriving at 1:45 is not so late.

3. I hope a stylist is responsible for Kanye’s current look. I kinda get what he is going for, but he’s not doing it right. He looks like a clown.

Thank goodness I didn’t see Tyler’s latest travesty of a movie. The review I read was truly horrible to the point where I thought the critic was just being nasty. But nastiness aside I wasn’t going to spend my money on it until I spoke to someone who saw it. My girlfriend who is a die hard Tyler fan told me the movie was not worth seeing on bootleg. One of these days black people are going to stop supporting his garbage. He won’t see another red cent from me until he gets his act together.

Bird, Madea Goes to Jail was hot GARBAGE. I took my parents to see it on opening night, and we all agreed it wasn’t a cohesive story line, the characters where under developed, and it was stereotypical and corny.

Esperanza Spalding is a damn good jazz artists and she plays the bass which is uncommon for a female and she can sing. She is more talented than the pop/RnB tarts get more exporsure. She is better than the ghetto Mozart Alicia Keys too

i think sandra is speaking to the fact that he doesn’t really pay his people that work with him on the set of his movies much of anything. i know 3 people that worked on this movie…and all of them were paid little of nothing…

Keys ain’t classicaly trained. If she was she wouldn’t have to use tracks from 70s soul singers. Her music is not very original, but I wouldn’t expect the general music public to notice that.

Really Taraji is over exposed? I think that’s a bit far fetched. She was nominated for multiple awards this season so of course she is going to be at the many award shows and parties Hollywood throws to honor the nominees. I don’t think it’s over exposure at all, it’s long overdue for a genuinely talented young lady.

What does how A Keys got her skills have to do with the cost of tea in China? Whether she is classically trained or not she can play. I don’t think that her talent should be cut down because she wasn’t “classically” trained. Doesn’t mean I like her though, she’s an undercover skank (yeah Daisy I said it about your girl….lol)

idk about tyler perry. his past and the type of films he does should make him humble BUT i can see how anyone cld get angry or testy if people are always coming at you wanting stuff for nothing. no one is perfect.

megan good is CUTE in an always messy fashionable bohemian kinda way.

hmmm…kanye likes looking like a sad reject. he’s playing the “look at me but don’t look at me cuz i’m a misunderstood genius” role too much. ahhh…oh well.
