Amid growing concerns about his tax problems, Sen. Tom Daschle withdrew his name from two White House gigs as secretary of health and human services AND White House health czar (whatever that is).
Do you think his conscience got the best of him? Or maybe Barack Obama glanced at his own dwindling poll numbers and broke out in a sweat before throwing Daschle up under the bus with the rest of his former associates.
I guess one tax cheat on staff (Timothy Geithner as Treasury secretary) is enough.
Never mind. I forgot who some of my readers are. (I LOVE exotic dancers who work hard to support their families). I think the bride's boobs cost as much as the wedding dress.
Thanks to loyal reader Anita for sending this in.
Yes, females can be thugs too...
Four women who allegedly killed a man on the South Side for “disrespecting” them by throwing a beer bottle were ordered held without bond today for the weekend murder.
The women—[Clockwise from top, left: Tiffany Cox, 25; Carmelita Hall, 25; Miesha Nelson, 25; Roslind Ball, 23]—were playing cards with Morris Wilson in Cox’s apartment early Sunday when Nelson and Wilson started bickering, according to Cook County prosecutors.
Wilson, 30, was asked to leave Cox’s apartment in the 8200 block of South Drexel Avenue and, as he walked out the door, he allegedly threw a beer bottle at it, Snow said. Nelson, who felt Wilson “disrespected” the women through his actions, told the others they “need to beat him up” and promptly went to the kitchen to grab a knife, Snow said.
The women left Cox’s apartment and found Wilson a few blocks away in the center of a courtyard apartment, in the 8100 block of South Drexel Avenue. There, Nelson stabbed Wilson before passing the knife to Hall, who repeatedly plunged the knife into him as the others kicked, punched and stomped on him, Snow said.

Either Vivica A. Fox or someone pretending to be her, contacted BV Buzz to deny filming that Psychic Friends Network commercial that's all over the blogs.
In a statement that the star of 'Two Can Play That Game' and 'Soul Food' sent via e-mail late Monday night, she declared: "Vivica A. Fox is no friend of The Psychic Friends Network."
Fox is alleging that the footage circulating online "is using her unauthorized likeness, footage, voice and photographs as an endorsement of their service."
Yeah, right. I guess that's not Vivica in the commercial saying, "At the Psychic Friends Network you can ask your psychic anything you want..."
I guess the PFN found that footage of Vivica praising and endorsing them and they made a commercial without Vivica's permission.
I guess Vivica forgot that she was paid for that commercial by PFN and she cashed the check.
Sam: ...which R&B artists of today inspire you – both vocally and more generally?
Brandy: I would have to say Beyonce; I really like her style a lot. I think she is one of the greatest singers of our time, one of the greatest performers of our time. I really like her a lot. I really like Rihanna a lot; I think her voice is so unique. She sings songs that really put her vocals out there. Who else do I like? I like of lot of people. Of course, Mary J. Blige and Alicia Keys, they’re great as well – I would also say I’m inspired by them also. The new girl on the scene, Jazmine Sullivan! I think she is unbelievable. I’ve known about her for a very long time – before anyone else knew of her. She’s always been great and I’m so happy to see everything happening for her the way it is.
Senators Geischner and Daschle owed over $240,000 in back taxes but Barack Obama stood up for them.
Now a female Obama nominee owed $900 (that's nine hundred dollars) and she goes under the bus! I guess she didn't owe enough taxes to stay on Obama's team. LOL!
The audacity of this woman to think she would get the same treatment as one of Obama's good ol' boys.
An Obama administration official says Nancy Killefer is withdrawing her candidacy to be the first chief performance officer for the federal government.
The official said the 55-year-old executive with consulting giant McKinsey & Co., will detail her reason for pulling out later Tuesday.
When her selection was announced by President Barack Obama on Jan. 7, The Associated Press disclosed that in 2005 the District of Columbia government had filed a more than $900 tax lien on her home for failure to pay unemployment compensation tax on household help.
Since then, administration officials have refused to answer questions about the tax error which she resolved five months after the lien was filed.
By now you're aware that Barack Obama appointed one tax cheat, Geithner to head the IRS (lol), Well now he has appointed another tax cheat, Senator Tom Daschle to be his secretary of health and human services.
"Make no mistake, tax cheaters cheat us all, and the IRS should enforce our laws to the letter," said Sen. Tom Daschle on May 7, 1998.
11 years later and Daschle himself is one of the biggest tax cheats in the Senate with over $200K owed to the government -- $83,000 of which he didn't report on his taxes even after his accountant reminded about it.
That's $199,000 more than what Joe the Plumber owed on his taxes. But Joe was raked through the mud for that $1,000 and he wasn't even running for public office.
As expected, Obama's administration stands behind Sen. Daschle, saying "nobody's perfect." Does that include Joe the Plumber?
When has Obama ever shown any backbone when it comes to his shady associations? So much for his "new era of responsibility."
Daschle and Geithner are both good ol' boys in Washington. The same good ol' boy government that Obama said he would oppose and Change. Instead, it's politics as usual.
Both Sen. Daschle and his wife are lobbyists -- the same type of lobbyists that Obama said would never be a part of HIS administration. Instead, more politics as usual.
Obama's administration is only 14 days old and it's already a joke.
That first Vibe cover released last week with Keyshia Cole on it was so awful that I didn't waste my time posting it.
But this cover with her mom Frankie is not much better. Did you hear about the troubles Vibe mag is having again?
If you recall they laid off about 85% of their work force some years back when Vibe changed ownership. Well now it's looking like they may be in serious trouble of folding.
Since banks aren't loaning money -- especially to magazines losing readers and advertisers -- the jig may be up for Vibe.
It was a great run though. We will always have our memories: such as that time ex-Vibe editor Shani Saxon called me and cussed me out for no reason.

Rapper 50 Cent is a mess! He behaves just like a vindictive female. In fact, he just hooked up with another vindictive female -- Rick Ross' baby mama and the two of them plot to expose Ross together.
I didn't watch this foolishness because I'm afraid at some point Fiddy is going to jump up, expose his thong and do a snap in a Z formation.
Thanks to Botchey for the tip!
