Celeb Style: Tiny!

ExclusiveAccess.net sent these pics of Tiny and friends partying at Straits last night. I hope Tiny hasn’t followed the crowd and abandoned her beloved Louis Vuitton for Gucci.

Video: Deleted Scenes From Last Night’s Episode of ‘T.I.’s Road To Redemption’

T.I. is in rare form in these deleted scenes from last night’s episode of “Road To Redemption” on MTV. In this video, T.I. receives a phone call from his mom, Violeta Morgan, who is shocked at the language and behavior displayed by one of T.I.’s younger cousins at a teenager’s birthday party.

Listen to the kid try to explain to T.I. why he didn’t think his behavior was inappropriate. Then you will understand why an entire generation of youth is lost because of Hip Hop’s influence.

If you ever wondered who dresses T.I. in Polo by Ralph Lauren, Louis Vuitton and Gucci — peep this video where Tip gives his stylist Rose a hard time. Wouldn’t you love a woman like Rose to dress you in the finest threads every morning?

“T.I.’s Road To Redemption: 45 Days To Go” airs Tuesdays on MTV at 9:30 p.m.

Katie Couric’s “There’s the White Guy” Comment

Not that I care about anything that comes out of Katie Couric’s mouth, but since everyone in the blogosphere is talking about this, I figured I would put my two cents in as well.

I didn’t watch POTUS Barack Obama’s “I Am The Walrus” speech last night (and never will), but according to the ultra liberal HuffPo, Couric, who anchors one of the network news shows (I forget which one), said the following after spotting VP Joe Biden in the crowd, “Nice to see a little diversity, with an African-American President, a female Speaker of the House, and there’s the white guy,”

Of all the things she could have said on such a serious occasion, why that?

It has become apparent to me that some in the mainstream media, like Couric, The NY Post, and CNBC’s Rick Santelli, no longer take Barack’s administration seriously.

I knew this would happen eventually, what with all the hiccups and missteps that have plagued this administration. But in no way did I think it would happen this soon.

Why now, you ask? Well, the only reason the liberal media helped Obama get elected in the first place was for the ratings that the media hoped to reap over the next 4 years, and to be a part of shaping history.

Sadly, the ratings that the pro-Obama networks (such as CNN) had hoped for have taken a nosedive in the month since Obama was elected.

So you know what means…

FanMAIL: Dwight Says

Studies show that black people as a community tend to search the Internets more for gossip rather than hard news, which is why urban media outlets such as BET no longer has a news program. Isn’t that sad?

I understand that black people want to fantasize and “get away” like in those Southwest airlines commercials. But for me, reality is so much more fun than fantasy and gossip.

Anyway, I’m rambling because, yesterday, one of my favorite readers (and contributors) emailed me to ask my thoughts on one of Necole Bitchie‘s posts about Dwight Eubanks, who was featured on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Dwight was a recent guest on The Wendy Williams Experience where he supposedly spilled the tea on who is gay in Atlanta.

My reader wanted to know if I believed Dwight’s allegations that rappers T.I. and Ludacris are gay.

Infant, 6 Others Shot At Mardi Gras in New Orleans

Just yesterday an industry friend asked why I wasn’t covering Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

Taken from AJC.com:

The shootings of seven people, including a toddler, marred Fat Tuesday partying as ear-piercing gunfire sent revelers ducking for cover and brought Mardi Gras’ final stream of truck floats to a horrifying halt.

The 20-month-old child was only grazed by a bullet and wasn’t seriously injured. Two suspects were in custody, police said.

Gunshots erupted near the Garden District about 1:40 p.m. as a stream of truck floats passed by after the last major parade, Rex, had ended. Thousands of people partied in the streets on the last day of Carnival before the violence broke out along the oak-lined Uptown streetcar line.

“It sounded like a string of fireworks, so I knew it was more than one shooter,” said Toni Labat, 29, a limousine company manager. She was with her two children, a 2-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl.

“Everybody was petrified. They hit the ground, the floats stopped, everybody on the floats ducked,” Labat said. READ MORE…
