Rihanna Discharged From Hospital, Cancels Birthday Party, Concert
20-year-old singer Rihanna, who sustained injures during a Pre-Grammy Awards fight with her 19-year-old boyfriend Chris Brown, is now out of the hospital, according to online reports.
LAPD officers, who interviewed the Barbadian beauty in the hospital, say she sustained violent trauma to her face and body, including bite marks on her arms and fingers, contusions, swelling, bruising and a bloody nose.
Rihanna may have inflicted similar damage on Brown as they fought inside and outside his rented Lamborghini near Hancock Park in LA early Sunday morning.
Witnesses heard her screaming and called 911. Brown fled the scene on foot and later turned himself in accompanied by famed attorney Mark Geragos who once repped Michael Jackson, among other notables.
Rihanna’s reps say her upcoming 21st birthday bash on Feb. 20 in NY is canceled. And a Malaysian concert is also scrapped as well as appearances at the upcoming NBA All-Star weekend in Phoenix.
The backlash against Brown has already begun. He was unceremoniously dropped from the Wrigley’s gum campaign Monday. And Brown’s reps say an upcoming gig in Phoenix is canceled.
The reaction from the industry was swift as well. According to a tipster, Rihanna’s brother would love to put his hands on Brown, and other men in the industry would like to “touch” him as well.
Rihanna has made many friends in the industry who reached out to her with offers of protection in the 24 hours since the incident.
Brown’s next court date is on March 5th. He is charged with making terroristic threats against Rihanna, who may not be willing to testify against him in open court.
There are rumors that Rihanna and Chris fought like cats and dogs behind closed doors and their handlers knew that eventually the violence would spill out into the open.
It seems the two were obsessed with each other, according to friends. It was the type of obsession that usually leads to violence. One source who is close to both camps told Sandrarose.com how Brown pursued Rihanna and how badly he wanted her before the two ever met.
“Rihanna paid that boy no attention for months,” said my source. “Then she finally gave him a chance and realized he was really cool [to be with].”
Brown’s mom, who has friends in Atlanta, is already defending her son and telling what she knows about prior incidents involving the couple. If you recall, it was Brown’s mom who spilled the beans to friends about Brown’s sordid relationship with his much older manager — a relationship that the manager vehemently denied.
Still, questions remain whether Rihanna was the aggressor in the current incident and if she struck out at Brown first, forcing him to defend himself.

If this was the case, why didn’t someone think to intervene? Do preventive maintenance? Offer counseling? I HATE when folks have firsthand knowledge about a domestic violence situation and NO ONE says or does anything. What if things really made a turn for the worst? What if Rhianna or Chris was killed during this scuffle? Then what? Let this be a wakeup call. It is NEVER ok to remain silent!

The double standard here is interesting. No, it is never ok for a man to hit a woman….. But it also never ok for a woman to hit a man. Domestic violence works both ways. We don’t have all of the facts but why is it always up to the man to walk away? Why do women not take responsibility and walk away as well.

I agree with you 15. I don’t promote violence, but females can sometimes push somebody to put there hands on them. We don’t really know what happen between the two of them except that she got the worst end of it. She could have been smacking and punching on him first. we don’t know.
I need to do a blog titled, “Bloggers will do anything for a hit.” The made up stories I have been reading on blogs about this incident are getting more outrageous by the day. First the herpes, then one site claims a reliable source said some girls Chris was screaming at beat up Rihanna, now you got a whole made up scenario implying Rihanna asked for the butt whoopin. That’s ridiculous. You bloggers are trying to destroy these young people.
Look, Chris turned himself in to police within 6 hours of the incident and he had no visible injuries. No scratches, no nothing. There is NOTHING Rihanna could have possibly have done to deserve the beat down he put on her. He swung on her face mulitiple times. Judging by her injuries he struck her in the face with extreme force at least 4 times and at least 2 of them were punches if you give him the benefit of the doubt and say slaps caused the busted lip and bloody nose. So no Sandra, Rihanna didn’t bring this on herself.
That being said, I still feel bad for Chris. He clearly lost it that night. Any man who can go that far needs some help. I pray he gets it and I pray these young people can move on from this thing successfully despite the public scrutany and wild stories flying around.

in this instance i dont know what happened. however from personal experience i know people get crazy both male and female and if someone is attacking you or flipping out, restraining them by holding their arms or hands is not always a resource. sometimes you need to be cracked in your damn head.

No amount of money is worth me losing my son or daughter!Call me controlling but I will be all up and through that damn relationship trying to forbid them for seeing one another, something (especially if I knew hitting, slapping and biting was going on)!!! And if the parents are looking for a “free ride”, no one can cut you a check if they are dead or locked up.
I believe I saw Chris’s face and don’t recall seeing any injuries. Believe me if there was visible trauma to his face, the state would most likely have filed charges against Rihanna as well. Krysi words can cut just as deep as hitting someone. I grew up in a volatile situation, mother bi-polar, living in the projects, had to fight family, etc…so forth. Hitting was what we did, luckily my adoptive family showed me a different way and I regress every now and again but for the most part I will not resort to violence to get my point across.
The point though is I’m 5’2 and my husband is 6’2 he just held me and shook me a little then pushed me back until I came back to my senses and that is what every man should do not resort to beating a woman down.

I feel bad for both parties involved. Me and the father of my child used to fight constantly and when I look back at it I’m embarrassed about how the relationship was. It was probably a mistake on both parties part and not knowing how to handle emotions. Whether it was about love or STD’s either way they will never be able to get that night back. This is going to be a turning point in both of their lives whether it is through their careers or personal life.

That’s an unfortunate situation. Unfortunately, the justice system is not perfect. With regard to Chris and Rihanna, they was visible trauma to her that left her hospitalized for days. He does not get a pass.

Not trying to call anyone out or offend but all this “tit for tat” is some GHETTO ish! And I can say this because at one time, this WAS my life.
My mother was physically abused by one of her live-in boyfriends. This ni66a would throw her down the stairs, slam her head into the mirrors and pictures on the walls. Years later she claimed she started the fight so she got whatever she deserved.I swear before God incidents like this happened at least once a week. Although we were in the bed supposedly sleep, my siblings and I heard EVERYTHING that was taking place. We would try to intervene but was told (by my mother)to go back into our rooms and stay there. I know they were loud but none of the neighbors called the cops, NOTHING! There were days I would walk home from school scared to open the door because I didn’t know what was waiting on the other side. Was my mom dead or alive? I told myself, nope, this will NOT be me! Boy, was I wrong.
I found myself in my first relationship at a VERY young age. My boyfriend and I at the time got into a heated argument about something.It must’ve been SOOOOO trivial because I don’t remember what it was. During the argument, that joker grabbed me the wrong way and looked like he was about to hit me. Flashing back to what I seen my mom going through, I picked up a remote control (that was the closest thing to me) and I bust him upside the head with it. The hit was hard enough to crack the remote and also let him know that I am NOT the one. Although he was pissed and upset, he DIDN’t hit me back! But guess what, later on in life, I ran across that man WHO DID hit back.
The moral of the story? Domestic violence not only affect the person who is being abused but it DIRECTLY impacts those who surround you. Before I sought counseling and accepted Christ into my life, I WAS THAT angry Black woman. If there was something my boyfriend did or said that I didn’t like or deemed disrespectful, I would slap, punch, scratch, etc. Shoot, if he wasn’t within arm’s reach, it was nothing to throw something at him or to punch a wall. Yes, I had a temper and wasn’t taking ish from nobody period!!
We all have to go through trials and tribulations to see the light. Perhaps my words will cause someone to see the light and prompt a change…..

I was in an altercation with someone I loved, and I was hit for NO reason what so ever…all we were doing was arguing…then out of nowhere—I get knocked in the head and mugged into my car….Of course me being the FOOL that I am…I went and got a bat at his aZZ…I then got pushed on the ground along with one of my homeboys who was trying to defend me…NICCA was acting crazy for real. I realized I couldn’t beat him and I left, but when I left…I LEFT COLD TURKEY…never called, never spoke to him another day afterward. I believe that hurt him more than anything I could have done to him physically. NOW he was a woman beater, someone I didn’t think twice about erasing out of my life, because I DO KNOW MY SELF WORTH and I knew I deserved better. I didn’t even get revenge…I JUST LEFT…no nothing….GONE ON YA AZZ…!! HIS LOSS!

Oh absolutely. I can think of many things that a woman can say to a man that would make men with self control issues go off. There were folks on TMZ saying that Chris was justified in beating her like the chick in The Burning Bed because she gave him herpes. Imagine that. What if his penis is small and she had never told him before that night? Some men would knock fire from you for that. People have differant triggers. But we all know that a large portion of domestic violence victims never throw blows. I think people are just hoping Rihanna did so they don’t have to view Chris as a monster. If your son is anything like my 7 year old he won’t hit a girl. However, my son will run and tell my very ghetto 6 year old niece that a girl hit him and she will gladly beat them down. There were witnesses to the attack. I don’t know if Rihanna has beat him before, but she didn’t beat him that night outside the car. They were arguing loudly prior to the blows and she was screaming loudly during the attack which woke up the neighborhood. There was no car accident.

What I find most shocking about this whole thing is that Rihanna is apparently still cooperating with police. You know both of their reps want this whole thing to go away. They have likely spent countless hours trying to figure out a way to keep that money coming in. Probably offering Rihanna all kinds of mess for her silence. I’m glad to see her sticking to her guns. That being said, I still like Chris and think a short circuit in his wiring was just revealed in a big way. I hold out hope that he will get help. He is still young. The care was towed because the police feel the attack started there and they want to get evidence from it. The car has been photographed in the tow yard. It is not damaged. DON’T BELIEVE ANYTHING YOU READ ON BLOGS ABOUT THIS CASE. They have been making up so much crazy crap til it ain’t even funny, much like this totally fabricated story of Sandra’s and her pistol whipping story yesterday. The sites I have found most reliable because their sources are the police and the people who live in the area of the altercation are TMZ, E! and People. They are the sources that the other reputable sites are quoting. Sadly black blogs don’t have that kind of access. NONE OF THEM. Poor Illseed over at Allhiphop got fed a whole boatload of crap. Some “reliable” source told him that some girls Chris blatantly tried to get with and told to follow them to a party actually beat Rihanna up. That might have been believable had it not been for the witnesses and the fact that Rihanna saw and identified who beat her up. So child do like the rest of us. Use the blogs as space to talk about it not a source of facts in this case.
Oh yeah, and L.A. Times is on the grind too. They have been getting facts here and there.

Hey I went to catholic school and my kids go to catholic school. Yes 96.5 kiss in Cleveland Ohio have stopped playing CB. That is the yt station and they started calling like crazy when the dj played a CB song so the program director stopped playing them.
