Rihanna’s Injuries Are Not ‘Horrific’ Pt. 2

Rihanna was spotted leaving her hotel on her way to the L.A. airport last night.

As you know, RiRi was assaulted by her boyfriend Chris Brown 2 weeks ago. She’s been in seclusion in a L.A. hotel ever since.

But in the above picture, her face looks remarkably clear despite the “horrific” injuries that was reported by the media and blogs barely 2 weeks ago.

Earlier I wrote that I didn’t think Rihanna’s injuries were that ‘horrific’ based on a photo that was leaked by the LAPD.

But what do I know about ‘horrific’ injuries. I’m just a registered nurse.

Oh and she shouldn’t have had any bruises is I think the bigger pic and point. I am on team BOTH and I pray Chris gets the help and counseling he needs to redeem himself and get a fresh start at the young age of 19.

It doesn’t matter. Her injuries were describes as “horrific” which was a gross exaggeration, probably done by the LAPD to drive up the price of the pictures.

Wow…People aren’t going to be satisfied with the injuries until she’s in a fuckin’ coffin. What wasn’t horrific about it? The lip wasn’t bust enough? The eyeball hadnt popped out? The bo-dollar sized hickeys werent big enough on her head? Who says some shit like…”thats not horrific”…I’ve been hit in the nose and after two weeks looked okay and couldnt the bite marks be elsewhere on her body…just not in her face? I’m sure she’s covering up whats left of that ass whipping with some serious makeup

Sandra I will not go as far as to say his mother didn’t raise him right. I will say she did not get him the help that he needed soon enough. Chris said himself he would never hit a woman after seeing his mother get beat, sadly he turned into the man he never wanted to be. There is hope for him yet though. stay up Breezy and Rihanna

@ Nola, I’m not minimizing her injuries. What I’m saying is, based on the way her injuries were described, they were grossly exaggerated. For instance, her eyes were described as “swollen shut.” Cleary, that was not the case.

That’s what I meant. I raised my nephew to understand that under no circumstance should he touch a female out of anger. It doesn’t take therapy to make a boy understand that if he puts a scratch on a female he goes to jail — even if she hit him first. This is not a perfect world and females have the upper hand when it comes to the justice system. CB’s mother should have had those talks with him. But obviously she didn’t.

Thats very possible…some people heal faster than others. 2 weeks is a good enough time for these kinds of injuries to heal themselves

As a nurse I have witnessed many cases of domestic abuse. Horrendous abuse. Weeks later you can still see visible signs of the physical abuse on their faces. I have a friend who still has a scar on her face years after her husband beat her. Rihanna looked like she was involved in a fight. She didn’t look like she was beat down.

Sandra you are being messy now…lol How do you know what she did or didnt tell him. My mama told me NOT to do alot of things and sometimes I listened other times not so much. I just feel she knew he had some anger issues or what have you. I know she has to be very disappointed.

I think the key words are “two weeks ago”….she cleaned up the blood and the bruises healed…I’m sure she had something to speed up the healing process of the bruises and her forehead is covered by her hair…I didn’t expect her to have her had wrapped in bandages, but I still say based on the picture released last night…she was pretty messed up.

HONESTLY RIHANNA EYES LOOKS PUFFY FROM CRYING, WHICH IS TO BE ECPECTED. When I first saw the photos, I was like “damn”..

BUT, after analyzing them closely – it looks like a few minor marks to me.

Her lip wasn’t busted, maybe the inside of her mouth was cut which is where the dried up blood came from.
Her eyes are shut, it looks like she had on dark eyeshadow.
She had the 3 marks on her face, but she’s hella light so she’d bruise easily.. The marks look like scratches that didn’t break the skin.

I DO NOT CONDONE VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

But, it looks to me like a minor fight.. Not an ASS WHOPPIN!

I was on the fence about putting blame on Chris bc I know women can provoke and instigate men to do some crazy things but after seeing this picture…HELL NO!!! This boy beat the dog sh!t outta RiRi, he was obviously the stronger person, he should have walked away.

For me, it doesn’t matter that his victim was a girl…ppl are up in arms about him beating on girl, that doesnt matter. This kind of violence AGAINST ANYONE, MAN OR WOMAN, should not be tolerated. If RiRi did this to him, ppl wouldn’t care as much, infact, I think some feminist would applaud her and thats a damn shame. I was raised not to lay my hands on ANYONE and so was my brother.

They both need help…RiRi for what led her to the hands of an abuser and Chris for what made him an abuser….AND THEY BOTH NEED ANGER MANAGEMENT bc as much as I think Chris went to far, that doesnt excuse her instigating.

and we will never know the whole story …so we should all get over that. The evidence is in the picture, I dont need her eyes swollen shut or more bruising. I also dont need to be a RN to know what horrific is…And you cant put blame on his mother sandra, chris is an adult. A mother can only raise her child and hope that they do right..

How utterly ridiculous is it that all of you are analyzing her injuries. I can assure you if this were one of your relatives, there would be no such nonsense. Regardless of her physical injuries you can guarantee that her internal injuries are much worse. If Chris Brown was a regular dude that she went out with all of you would be yelling out bloody murder but because he is also famous everyone is treading the line, the same way everyone treaded the line with the slackness that is R Kelly. I have nothing but compassion for Rihanna it is a sickening situation when not only are you physically abused but on top of that you have the world judging you on your merits of actually been bruised enough or not. A friend of mine was thrown down the stairs by her cousin at the beginning of last year and she is as light as Rihanna and when I went to the emergency room her face looked similar to Rihanna’s, by the time I saw her a few days later, her face had exploded into a mass of destruction. After about 2 weeks the swelling and bruising were all gone, only dark pigmented scars were still visible which I now do microdermabrasion on for her (I’m an esthetician) to regain the normal color of her skin. The bottom line is she did not beat up herself and its obvious that Brown did the work on her, forget talking to his parents and pastor, he needs to check into rehab asap, he has a problem that needs immediate attention, its so sad that even with his celebrity and money he still became a statistic.

Also by the time the NYPD came to the hospital the nurses had already cleaned up all of my friends blood off her face, so only the cuts and impending bruises were visible. You dont know how long it was before pictures were taken, they most likely cleaned her up and calmed her down prior to letting cops photograph her.

This is in response to your comment to daisy. Rihanna did not say her injuries were “horrific” the MEDIA did. Leave the girl alone if it was your behind that got beat you would want sympathy so stop publicizing her plight and leave her the heck alone.

I am so tired of everyone making light of the situation!

Why is it that we have no sympathy for anyone these days…and I am not saying it just for her but for Chris Brown as well he is also a victim in this situation; He has to deal with the label of “woman beater” as you so eloquently and frequently call him!

We as a people need to have more sympathy for others during their time of need, and stop with the holier than thou attitudes. None of us are better than the next…we need have compassion.

We love to gossip about others just so we can look at ourselves and go…thank God that ain’t me…but someday it will be, maybe not this exact situation but something else!

I wonder if it was to become public what would you want others to say about you…

I agree wholeheartedly. the black eye thing has happened to me on several occasion, I have gotten into several altercations in the past, and it seemed no matter where i recieved the blow from one or both of my eyes were blacked. I accidentally hit myself in the forhead with the kitchen cabinet, black eye. Maybe it’s just me then.

Im sorry, Rihanna is a scrapper. She said so herself. She giggled when she talked about smashing her brother in the face with a glass bottle. There is NO WAY that she sat there and took that. There is a reason the DA kicked the case back to the LAPD. I think she swung on him first, he snapped and she got her ass kicked. I see 2 victims in this situ. It’s sad. I dont think it has anything to do with how someone has been raised. I dont’ know if i’m going out on a limb here…but I’m going to ‘guess’ that he’s human and he made a mistake. A woman can make a man who will never hit a woman, hit her. we are all human. we all have a breaking point. I pray for both of them, I dont think that Chris nor Rihanna are bad people. They are young, and they made a mistake.

Chris is like 6’5, he’s cut, and WAY bigger than RiRi..

If he beat Rihanna, she wouldn’t look like that.
If he punched Rihanna, she wouldn’t look like that.
If he even slapped her, she wouldn’t look like that.

A minor tussle, he probably grabbed her mouth to shut her up and it cut the inside.

It’s crazy that in one night, someone you loved & were with all the time is no longer your boo.. Damn.

i agree with sandra (for once) lol….i dont blame rihanna for the overexaggerating i blame the media…he was wrong as all hell dont get me wrong….but at first glance you do say dammmmmnnnnn…cuz you arent used to her looking like that…but then you think about an attack or beating then you say ok it aint as bad as everyone said…rihanna is a very light girl…she can scratch her jaw cuz it itch and it will turn purple….thats how easily she probably bruises….i think they fought and fought hard…but chris clearly fought harder. her lip does NOT look busted…her eyes does NOT look swollen shut…i think the worse part are the lumps on her forehead….it looks like he might have hit her head up against something….she probably healed quickly because it wasnt that bad to begin with ….thats my opinion…i wont judge…and i wont have another opinion until court day

I’m going to have to agree with Sandra too. While it was not inexcuseable for him to put his hands on her, it was NOT horrific. Horrific is leaving marks for quite some time. Her face looks normal to me. I see no scars, hearing cuts/wounds, etc.
