One day after Barack Obama’s boring press conference to push his wasteful $838 billion stimulus bill, the Senate approved the package 61-37.

Meanwhile, skepticism on the part of investors sent the Dow Jones Industrial Average tumbling below 7900 today. And that’s not even the half of it.

The reality is this bill won’t even begin to benefit families until 2011-2012.

According to the Washington Post:

The Obama administration’s economic stimulus plan could end up wasting billions of dollars by attempting to spend money faster than an overburdened government acquisition system can manage and oversee it, according to documents and interviews with contracting specialists.

But there is some good news. Look for Michelle Obama to grace the cover of the March issue of Vogue magazine on newsstands Feb. 17.
