Do you remember little Diva Davanna whose video prompted me to ask whose child is this? Well, she was on the Tyra Banks show last week strutting her stuff for Tyra. By the way, Tyra gives us a shout out during this video. Thanks Tyra!

Thanks to loyal reader Mustard Seeds for the link!

Sad. This is child exploitation. Shame on Tyra, the family, and the "modeling coach." :(

  • cupcakes

She was working that runway....I was surprised she was so shy when she came out.

  • 2Unruly

Forgot to add. This child is CLEARLY not happy "strutting her stuff" down the runway. Even if she were, it's exploitative.

@2unruly... I agree with everything you said...
    Let her be a kid...

Sandra, did you know you were mentioned on whataboutourdaughters(.)com regarding the Obamas and their baby - see title:

Friday Foolishness and Chicanery: Awaiting the Arrival of Little “Sandra Rose Obama”

  • 2Unruly

SnootyPooty1, I could not help but to think of that kid JonBenet. What's the rush to make little kids look and act like grown women?

  • Daisy

    Hey Snooty!

  • Bird

I'm going to have to put the sound on the video when I get home. I didn't even see the original post. I don't know that I feel horrible about this. There are a lot of child stars and maybe her mom wants her to be one and she wants to be one. Who knows? I'll check it out later. For now I will say she knows how to work that runway. Of course if she doesn't reach at least 5'9 she can't be a model, but learning how to perform in front of an audience could prepare her for other things.

  • Ateya

I agree, I was shocked to see her so scared cause she clearly can work the runway. I hope to see her soon in Vogue, ect when she is older. Good Luck!

I too was amazed at how she broke down when she came on Tyra. I guess we don't know if she's being forced into this, but we really should let kids be kids for as long as they possibly can.

Some ppl are really shy until they get to showcase their talent. Prince never use to do interviews because of hs shyness. Bey said that when she is onstage it's not her , it's Sasha. This little girl naturally looks comfortable working the runway.

  • brwnsugga4you

let her be a d*mn kid!!! parents always trying to get a damn meal ticket....

@2Unruly .... I know they pushed that little girl so much...
That was such a sad case..........

Aww, I'm glad that she was shy. I can't stand those kids that come out talking like they know it all. She seems like she is a humble little girl. I wish much success. I don't get the vibe that she doing it against her will. She is still a child and being on a major show for everyone to see can be an intimidating experience for anyone.

  • SnootyPooty1

I sincerely hope that when she gets older that if she decides this is not what she wants her mom will support that and not force her to continue............

  • starr

    Why exploit the kid.....

"Of course if she doesn’t reach at least 5?9 she can’t be a model"

she can be a model, maybe not a runway model, but i'm only 5'4 and i do alot of modeling for local fashion shows/hair shows that goes on in virginia. i've also did face shots and hand's more to modeling than just runway.

i had to stop watching this because something is wrong with this picture. HOWEVER, SANDRA IS GETTING MAD PRESS!!! congrats sandra!

  • brwnsugga4you

forgot about that...congrats are officially moving up like the jeffersons :)

  • SnootyPooty1

Go SANDRA!!!!!!!! with the shout outs.........

  • speakinmymind

i didn't get the impression she's being forced or felt uncomfortable on the runway. looks like it comes pretty natural to her, in my opinion. and at least she has on creative if she came out in a string bikini and stilettos, then i might see a problem.

also, i agree with the posters who said she may just be extremely shy. i've gotten nauseous and even fainted when i was a kid and had to speak in front of people. but when i hit the stage to perform (singing or dancing), i was in my element and didn't feel shy at all.

  • candycane

Lil Miss Lady was definitely working it. She will probably definitely have a futre as a model. Tyra is about to hook her up and put her on Top Model, who's to say what her futre will be.

  • nolachic

I was there that day my daughter was on that show and to honest it was sorrowful to see. Especially the parts they didnt show. I cant say for sure but it seems like this modeling thing is all she knows and she is being force fed it. Another parent and I just shook our heads and felt sorry for the way they are exploiting that child.

  • Krysi J

I loved it!!!! That was beautiful...start them out young like Tyra and you won't have to worry about them NOT following their dreams.

  • Krysi J

And to anyone who thinks this child is not living a normal childhood....what structure is that based on? The way you raise your kids I suppose right....WELL WHO THE HELL ARE YOU? I guess if she was popping her booty on youtube so you can talk down on her mama and her home training you would be satisfied with placing her into another black steriotype senerio........WELL i can just about GUESS that this little girl will have a very successful career. You don't talk down on people putting their kids in movies!! Tyra was a child model, keyshia knight pullam - Rudy, Raven Samone - Olivia = cosby show...and there are so many more children who had healthy careers...CUT IT OUT! How else have you known for a child to succeed...their attention needs to be drawn to something positive before they go to school and get negatively influenced by YOUR kids who are FORCED to live a dull life and someday will be looking for a way out! Don't keep kids closed up, children dream big very young, and if you want your child to make something out of themselves then nurture those dreams NOW while you have the chance and while they are willing to listen. Every child that is raised up will not go to college, but they're could be another calling on their life. So many entertainers in hollywood skipped college, GOD wants you to make good on the gifts he gives you and bring something back. Now if we agree that GOD writes the book of our lives....then we should agree that what this little girl did was according to GOD's will. How can you not be amazed at what has happened and how much this will impact this girls way of life???

But when we see Jon Benet we say the parents are worng for that, but make excuses for others?...How hypocritical! I'm sorry but I would cut my pinky toe off before I would expose my child to certain things. Because we all know that child is NOT modeling for JC Penny's and that she's performing at gay nightclubs. Nothing wrong with those shows I've been to plenty and have been a participant in a couple but wouldnt dare bring my child.

  • flyqtnva

I dont remeber seeing Rudy doing no shit like this or RAven.

  • Lemondrop

This reminded me of when I was her age, modeling was ALL I talked about. I begged and begged my mother to take me, she
finally gave in and made an appointment.

Dont you know when I got down there I wouldnt open my mouth,
lol. I clung to her like I was going to the chair, and when the woman at the agency asked me my name, I cried. lol

Then when we got home had all the boldness and asked can we go back? I can do it now.
