How cool is it that wild child Lindsay Lohan's attorney is a sista of apparent mixed parentage? Her name is Shawn Holley Chapman and she just got Lindsay off the hook for an old trumped up DUI charge. I LOVE to see sistas doing their own thing in the male dominated business world.

From Us magazine:

The warrant issued for Lindsay Lohan on Friday was recalled Monday in court.

In a quick hearing in L.A., Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, showed proof that Lohan had been complying with the terms of her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI arrest, her second, including attending alcohol classes. The actress, 22, was not present.

"Lindsay Lohan has been complying with aspects of the program," Judge Marsha Nevel said, adding that there had been "no dirty [drug] tests."

Lohan will enroll in a new alcohol and drug program; her attorney will provide proof by April 3.

The judge also asked that the court be notified of any future issues "so that things won't go out of control."

Outside of the courthouse, Holley told Us: "This is much ado about nothing. It was a misunderstanding and we have cleared it up."

Holley added that the warrant was difficult for Lohan to deal with "while she knew she has been doing everything right."

Has this ever happened to you: you hear something during a conversation, but you dismiss it without question because you thought the person was mistaken?

That's what happened last week when I spoke with someone in Tameka "Tiny" Cottle's camp who mentioned to me, almost in passing, that Tiny had her own salon. Now I know I wasn't just hearing things:

T.I.’s fiancee Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle has opened her new nail salon in Stockbridge, according to Essence online. The former member of Xscape described the shop as a full-service nail salon combined with a full-service bar.

According to the report, Tiny’s Nail Bar will feature manicures, pedicures, massages, body wraps and spray tanning, as well as complimentary health drinks and juices.

“I’m very picky about my nails and hair, so I’m going to make sure that I do my best to deliver top-notch customer service,” Tiny tells Essence. LINK

I think the same source said Tiny's BFF Kandi Burrus (or one of her fiance's baby mama's) also had a salon like Tiny's. But don't quote me on that. I have to learn to be a better listener.

If you live in the A then you know that rapper Gucci Mane got sprung this weekend -- in more ways than one. Well, guess who was waiting for him with open arms when he got out of the slammer? Mya!

Can you believe it? I mean, first The Dream hooking up with Christina Milian, and now Mya and Gucci Mane may be boo'd up? I hear they were inseparable in the VIP at Studio 72 Saturday night in Atlanta. They say Mya and Gucci were so tight you couldn't slide an American Express black card between the two of them.

Props to celebrity photographer Prince Williams of for always sending us the hawt images!

I can not believe that actress Taraji P. Henson came through Atlanta and did not call me! Taraji and her friends enjoyed a night of bowling at 300 Bowling Alley on Sunday night. I'm not surprised to see that she has taken up with Chaka Zulu (Luda's manager). Wasn't he in a longterm relationship with that barracuda, Gabrielle "I'll take yo man" Union? In fact I know he was. I'm sure Gabrielle and Taraji have compared notes by now. That's how they do ("guuurrrrlllll"). Other VIPs in the house included Neffie and her mom Frankie from the wildly popular Keyshia Cole Show on BET. Ike Dirty (Isaac Hayes' son), NBA legend Sam Cassell, rapper Flo-Rida, and the usual coterie of industry elite that gather at 300 every Sunday night. I live near 300 by Perimeter mall. All Taraji had to do was call and I would have popped right over. I emailed her my number 15 times so I know she has it.

A loyal reader sent in these pics. So please hold your emails. In Obama's defense, he never said he wanted to be a role model to your kids. He just wanted to be president.

From a loyal reader in response to our post titled Source: Tina Davis Runs With a Crew of Cougars

    Dear Sandra,

First, I trust that this is confidential and you will not release my name. Okay, I am friends with the female executive that you referred to as a cougar. I was also very good friends with Shakir. We ran in the same circles in Oakland and later in life my husband and I ended up working with him on various music projects. I met "her" in the early 90's and she is one of the very few consistent people in my life. She has always extended a helping hand and is the greatest person to go to for business and personal advice.

I have to thank you for not mentioning her name, but correct you for offering your readers a false report. My friend has not denied that she dated Shakir, but he was not a teenager at the time. He was a grown man, a college graduate and quite charming and alluring to many females that had the pleasure of being around him, and she was no different. They openly dated and their personal relationship had nothing to do with her parting ways with her former employer.

She was married to someone in the industry and has dated other people in the industry, so the quote that you posted from the magazine did not in any way validate or support your accusations. You must realize that your words can hurt really good people including Shakir's family. You alluded that he got his start because of his relationship with her, but Shakir's first job was at Noontime and prior to that he was an extraordinary party promoter. He got his start because he had a passion for music, a great ear and people like her to learn from. Please let your readers know that, please.

    Peace and love,

Singer Kelis showed off her baby bump at somebody's birthday party this weekend in L.A. If you recall, Kelis sent her legal goons after us to take down this post. We left it up since she wanted to be a b*tch about it. Until and unless George Bush II (Obama) gets his way and overturns the constitution, we still have a right to express our opinions in this country.

Is this really Vivica A. Fox or an obsessed fan? Because if it is Vivica, she's looking a little Tyler Perry-ish about the face and shoulders. In addition to looking like she's had yet another nose job, she looks like she bench presses 300 pounds every morning. When are these women going to stop going overboard with the plastic surgery?

I'm so tired of looking at these two. It's obvious they are not a real couple. Kanye is a pillow biter and Amber Rose is a lesbun who likes to strap one on literally and figuratively. Someone who knows Amber personally emailed me to describe what she does to Knaye behind closed doors. Visualizing that scene made my head hurt.

A dapper Alonzo Mourning and his lovely wife Tracy attended Russell Simmons' Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation Art For Life at the Fontainebleau Hilton hotel in Miami Beach on Saturday (3/14). Mourning plays for the Miami Heat and his wife spends his money, which is how it ought to be.

They said actress Stacy Dash had a nose job and she denied it. Well, here's the evidence. Only a man-made nose would look like it belonged on Michael Jackson's face.

While checking out some of my favorite blogs in my blogroll, I ran across this post on Marcus Troy's blog. If you recall, we did a writeup on Marcus last year when he revealed himself to be Kanye West's ghost writer.

Well, Mr. Troy got his hands on a pair of the much-anticipated Nike Air Yeezy shoes that don't ship to stores until next month. We could care less about these ugly shoes, but we realize that some people get excited about anything.

So how does a relatively unknown blogger just happen to get his hands on the unreleased shoes "that Nike and Kanye West had the internet going crazy about."?

As Marcus points out in his blog:

"These are set to be very limited and only a handful of people have gotten a production pair thus far. I feel very privileged to be part of the selected few."

We're sure he does. He certainly worked hard for them.

When Rihanna decided to go back to her abuser Chris Brown after that beating she took from him, her innocent act was fractured in the eyes of her fans. We will no longer promote Rihanna or domestic abuse on this blog. It is crucial for her young fans to know that domestic abuse is not pretty. Slapping a woman one time out of anger is one time too many. A simple "I'm sorry" doesn't cut it when you continue to punch, choke and bite a woman. That's a serious problem that requires jail time. So we will no longer post Rihanna or Chris Brown pics or stories on this blog unless it relates to the trial or sentencing.

Comments Off on The Honeymoon is Officially Over

Obamaholics please pass on this post. I get sick and tired of reading your e-mails and your comments whenever I am critical of your boy, and I am afraid this is going to be one of those times.

~borrowed from Field Negro

Remember those massive crowds that turned out to hear Barack Hussein Obama speak on the presidential campaign trail? Well, this crowd of 4,000 to 6,000 protesters showed up in Cincinnati over the weekend to attend a "tea party" protesting Obama's wild spending in Washington. Even my pastor, who is a staunch supporter of Obama, preached about Obama's planned 2nd stimulus bill this past Sunday.

It seems that Obama is in a race to outspend George Bush. In just 40 days, Obama has spent $1.2 trillion resulting in doubling the national debt and putting us deeper in the hole with China. George Bush spent half of that on the Iraqi war -- and it took him 5 years to do it!

Obama campaigned on a platform of lies. He promised to ease the suffering of Americans who are at risk of losing their homes by signing a stimulus bill on his first day in office. Instead, he closed Gitmo, halted the trial of the terrorists responsible for 9/11 and gave his first official interview as president to a Muslim network with ties to terrorists.

Read more about the protests here.
