Strip Club Holds Job Fair

I was just discussing this subject with my GGF the other day. Jobs are hard to come by with the worsening economy, but one industry that is rarely ever affected is the gentlemen’s club industry where women can easily make $500 or more a night. Even if a man is out of work he will still treat himself to an occasional lap dance.

If you look like Beyonce or Gabrielle Union and can work a pole you will never be out of work. One strip club in Rhode Island is even holding a job fair to attract out-of-work women who might otherwise never consider dancing for tips.

Hoping to take advantage of Rhode Island’s floundering economy, owners of the Foxy Lady strip club in Providence plan to hold a job fair on Saturday.

They say they’re looking to fill around 30 positions, from strippers and waitresses to disc jockeys and bartenders, at that club and two others in Massachusetts.

“I need more managers, I need more competent staff, and I need more attractive waitresses to go along with the ones I have right now,” said co-owner Tom Tsoumas.

The Providence club isn’t immune from the recession but is still drawing customers willing to drink and pay for lap dances, said manager Bob Travisono.

“It’s taken a hit,” he said. “It’s not as bad as restaurants and stuff like that. In times like this, they seem to drink their sorrows away.”

Tsoumas said he hopes some who might shun strip clubs when the economy is good might consider shedding their clothes now — or at least working as a floor host or bartender. [LINK]

Cover Parade

Here’s a little Morning Wood for you ladies (and mens). Model Roberto Bolle flexes his muscles on the cover of Vanity Fair Italy.

Meanwhile, Barack Hussein Obama, who thinks he’s a celebrity, became the first sitting president to laugh it up on a late night talk show while Americans are losing their jobs and their homes. This guy is a joke.

Outrage: Obama Makes Fun of Special Olympics and Kids With Hydrocephalus

Yesterday, Barack Hussein Obama taped an appearance on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno — without his trusty teleprompter — and the result was an unmitigated disaster!

First, Obama made fun of the Special Olympics then he made a gaffe by repeating a Jay Leno joke about “water head” dogs, and even added his own joke saying, “it’s not a “water head.” (Laughter.) That sounds like a scary dog. (Laughter.) Sort of dripping around the house.” (Laughter)

Keep laughing O. You’re gonna laugh yourself right out of the White House in 2012. Go here to view the video of Obama’s disastrous appearance on Jay Leno.

The term “water head” is used by the insensitive (and morons) to describe children with water on the brain, or in medical terminology: hydrocephalus.

Beyoncé Cheating On Jay Z Already?

From Page Six:

When Beyoncé (above) popped into Patricia Field’s Bowery boutique where The Post snapped her emerging from a shopping visit the other day, she wasn’t shy about throwing some real money around, recession or not. Our source reports that “she spent $11,000 in just 20 minutes.” Mrs. Jay-Z made sure to pick up the essential evening wear including “a black, diamond-studded bra.”

Celebs Out & About

Singer Keyshia Cole attended the 25th Annual Communication Awards Dinner at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in D.C. last night. Miss Keyshia rarely disappoints, but that dress is awful, and what are the shoes matching?

Rap artist LL Cool J thrilled the ladies (and the mens) with his basketball skills at courtside during the Los Angeles Lakers vs Golden State Warriors game at Staples Center in L.A. yesterday.

OK I’m convinced that Vivica A. Fox has a tranny double masquerading as her in Hollywood. In these pics she looks like the vivacious aunt Viv we’re accustomed to. But earlier this week at another event, we could swear she was a glammed up Tyler Perry. So what gives? Aunt Viv attended the 3rd Annual Avant Garde Fashion Event And “Shark City” After Party in L.A. last night.

Yesterday Alicia Keys and her mom Terri visited Washington D.C. schools at the request of the First Lady Michelle Obama. How anyone can call Alicia ‘black’ after seeing her mom simply mystifies me.

Actor/director Spike Lee took his family to the “West Side Story” Broadway Revival Opening Night in NYC last night.

Actor Taye Diggs got a jungle fever side eye glance from a woman at the “West Side Story” Broadway Revival Opening Night in NYC last night. That look is also what intellects refer to as a “knowing glance.” Broadway dimmed its lights in memory of Natasha Richardson, who died Wednesday of traumatic brain injuries after a fall on a ski slope in Canada.

Singer Janelle Monáe performed during the SXSW Music Festival in Austin Texas on Wednesday (3/18). Janelle is still signed to Bad Boy Records, poor thing.

Police Investigate Double Mother-Daughter Homicides

Prince George’s County police are investigating double mother-daughter homicides in the same area. The two cases are a top priority as tensions and fear rise.

The Loftons, Karen and Karissa, were the first, shot in late January in their Largo home. Then on Monday, less than a half mile away, the bodies of Deloris and Ebony Dewitt were found in a burning car, one in the trunk, the other in the back seat.

“To me, the feeling is there’s just got to be some kind of connection,” said Michael Jeter, 45, a neighbor of the Dewitts.

“Everybody in this neighborhood is in fear right now,” said William Mackall, 62, who lives several blocks from the Dewitt home. “I have kids, but thank God, just boys, no girls.”

At a news conference Tuesday night, police said they could not rule out the possibility that a serial killer was responsible for the slayings. No physical evidence linked the killings, but police said the parallels were disturbing and went beyond proximity: In each case, the mothers were in their 40s and the daughters were teenagers. They were found dead early in the morning, on a Monday.

One other commonality that emerged yesterday – Karen Lofton, 45, and Deloris Dewitt, 43, were both nurses – appeared to be mere coincidence, police said. Lofton had just finished her first day of orientation to be a school nurse in Largo. Dewitt had worked at a nursing home in Clinton for the past nine years. READ MORE…

Mya Wants You To Know She’s Not F***ing For Tracks

I just received this email from publicity honcho Barry Florence. It seems we misinterpreted these photos of Mya sticking her tongue down Gucci Mane’s throat:

In a statement released today, Mya Harrison and Radric Davis aka Gucci Mane said “We are friends and artistic colleagues, nothing more.” The two were photographed together at Gucci Mane’s mixtape event and this past weekend’s homecoming parties along with several other attending artists and celebrities.

“I am offended that pictures and assertions have been levied against me without consideration for the truth and how it affects me, Mya said. Gucci and I are friends and he is on one of my new songs soon to be released. That’s why I was in Atlanta this weekend – celebrating his return and recording our new collaboration. To our friends, fans, and supporters – thank you for your concern and I apologize for the inconvenience of having to deal with these bogus rumors.”

Hajji Harrison, Mya’s manager, expressed genuine concern regarding the rumors. “We want all of Mya’s focus and energy to be on her new project – not on defending false accusations about her personal life. Her new CD is extremely hot and fresh. Gucci’s lyricist flow is also hot and fresh and we are pleased that he did a record with her.
