CNN Cancels The DL Coon Show

CNN finally canceled the wack show that nobody watched. I don’t think there’s ever been a more unfunny “comedian” than D.L. Hughley, but Chris Rock is a close second.
Every blog took a shot at DL Hughley, but cityfile.com put it best:
Comedian D.L. Hughley was pummeled by critics when his weekend talk show debuted on CNN last fall. “What the hell was CNN thinking?” a columnist for AdAge asked after watching the first episode. It remains unclear what was running through the minds of CNN execs when they signed him up for the spectacularly unfunny program featuring painfully awkward interviews. But the network may have come to its senses or at least decided to cut its losses. A source tells us that CNN has decided to cancel the show due to “budgetary constraints.”
Bye D.L.! You won’t be missed!
Throwback Fridays: Stacey Lattisaw & Johnny Gill – Where Do We Go From Here
Loyal member Ckarinwhite dedicated this Throwback song to woman beater Chris Brown and his girlfriend Rihanna, who suffers from battered woman syndrome.
IMO Chrianna is the most dysfunctional relationship in Hollywood since Ike & Tina Turner. If their camps have any hope of reviving their careers they will break up this toxic union. Both Rihanna and Chris are sick individuals who need help understanding why they seek unhealthy partners.

British Boy Sells McDonalds Happy Meal Collection for $11,500

I didn’t know that the toys packaged in Happy Meals were collectible items. Dang, people will collect anything. As many Happy Meals as we consume, we could all be rich!
From the Daily Mail:
- An 11-year-old boy was more than $11,500 richer today after his collection of memorabilia from fast food chain McDonald’s went under the hammer.
Luke Underwood’s massive collection of 7,000 promotional items is believed to be the largest of its kind in the UK and attracted bidders from all over the world.
The rare Mcmemorabilia featured the only known complete set of the 101 Dalmations in their original bags, as well as hundreds of Happy Meal boxes, toys and posters.

A nervous Chris Brown appeared in a L.A. courtroom yesterday where he was shocked to learn that his judge was a black female. His attorney Mark Geragos hastily requested a continuance until April 6 so they could work out a strategy on how to deal with this newest development. We are wholly confident that despite his attorney’s ministrations — the judge will put the smack down on Chris Brown’s ass on April 6th.

Socialite Kim Kardashian was spotted shopping in Beverly Hills yesterday doing normal every day things like getting her shoes repaired and picking up bargains at Old Navy. As you can tell by the banners on this site, the new season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians kicks off this Sunday (3/8) at 10 p.m. I heard that the Kardashian sisters personally requested this blog to promote their show, but we don’t know how true that is.

FanMAIL: Case Closed
A loyal reader sent me this cover of today’s NY Post featuring a shook Chris Brown in a L.A. courthouse yesterday. As you know, Brown was there to face an arraignment on two felony charges stemming from his assault on pop singer Rihanna last month.
I don’t know if this is a real cover or not, but it is appropriate considering the fact that the judge handling Chris Brown’s case is a black female who takes no mess! I understand that bitch-boy’s attorney Mark Geragos took one look at the sister on the bench and hastily requested a continuance until April 6 so his legal team could regroup and figure out how to handle this newest development.
The continuance was granted, but not before the judge warned the bitch not to “annoy, harass, molest, threaten or use force or violence against anyone.”
Chris Brown Arrives At Court; Faces Arraignment On Two Felonies

UPDATE: 7:00 p.m.
The judge’s exact words to Brown were, “You are not to annoy, harass, molest, threaten or use force or violence against anyone.” The judge sounds like she means business.
We hope she’s a domestic violence advocate for women who suffer abuse at the hands of violent offenders like Chris Brown. We hope she puts him under the jail house.
UPDATE:
The arraignment is over. It was very brief. Brown was just ordered not to harass Rihanna even though his attorney told the judge that Rihanna didn’t request such a protective order. His next court date is April 6th.

Correction: this wasn’t Chris Brown arriving to court. It was his brother Nick. Thanks Kenya!
Woman beater Chris Brown showed up at the L.A. County courthouse at 6:30 p.m. dressed conservatively in grey jacket and black slacks with a white shirt. Brown is charged with felony domestic assault and making threats. Photographers and cameramen pushed and shoved and cursed each other as Brown made his way into the courthouse.
He was accompanied by his attorney Mark Garragos was able to delay the hearing today from this morning to 3:30 p.m. west coast time.
Domestic protesters also showed up outside the L.A. County courthouse where the media horde had assembled since early this morning.

Rihanna Hasn’t Spoken to Her Dad in Weeks (but that hasn’t stopped him from getting paid for interviews)

Aren’t we tired of Rihanna’s alcoholic father talking to the media every 5 minutes? It’s obvious he’s getting paid for these so-called “exclusive” interviews. And it’s obvious that Rihanna knows he’s using her, which is why she changed her number and didn’t give him the new one.
So what did he have to say in his latest “exclusive” interview? Nothing that we don’t already know:
From US Magazine:
- US: What was your reaction after hearing Chris Brown was charged with two felonies?
Fenty: I don’t know how to react. Chris is a very talented guy. I still think he’s a little immature for Rihanna. Justice can never be served in this situation. He can’t feel the pain she felt. I don’t believe in hitting a woman. I hope everything works out better for them. I don’t feel happy or sad. He’s in the court’s hands. Let justice prevail.
US: Have you seen the new police report that details Brown biting, hitting and threatening to kill Rihanna?
Fenty: I haven’t seen anything. I hear so many things. I don’t know what to believe until I see it myself. Rihanna’s mother is telling me that she hasn’t heard anything from her [Rihanna]. She said the last she heard Rihanna was well.
US: I know you’ve been speaking with your daughter over text. Is she no longer reachable?
RF: I’ll text the old numbers she had, and I call them. One girl answered, and she said, “This is not Robin’s number anymore.” I asked, “Do you work for Robin? Do you deal with Robin?” And the girl hung up, so I don’t know what’s going on anymore. I’m lost.
Us: What was her last text to you?
RF: [She] said, “Daddy, I miss you.” And that’s it. And I could not reply. I saw a number and texted back, “I miss you too.” And I didn’t get another reply from her.
