So you think I’m hard on Michelle Obama?
Some of you criticize me for being unkind to our First Lady, but you should take a trip to the other side sometime and see what “they” are saying about her. The “other” bloggers are tearing her to shreds.
At least I keep it real, but they really go in on your girl. For instance, Hollywood Dame had this to say about Michelle’s J Crew argyle sweater, which I LOVE — but she hates:
Then the First Lady wore another awful cardigan that clashed blues with her dress. J. Crew is never acceptable for a meeting-the-Queen-wear. She even missed a button on the sweater and looks like a kindergartner who needs help. Someone needs to let her in on the secret that argyle and sequins are horrid combination.
That and when meeting the queen and foreign ambassadors it’s not wise to bust out the snakeskin pumps. Save it for Ladies Night at Camp David.
Wow, that was harsh.

michelle is what 45 yrs old. why should she dress like an old lady? if michelle was white the outfit would be stylish and sophisticated bringing new life and style into the white house.

I have the utmost respect for Michelle Obama. Unlike her husband, I think it would kill her to tell a lie. In spite of a natural scowl, she is very beautiful. And, I think she is very poised.
Having said that, she has yet to wear anything that I like or think compliments her figure (that’s how the pregnancy rumors got started).
I thought I was the only one who didnt like her outfits I like michelle I think that she is beautiful & intelligent woman with that being said she is my mommas age and my own momma dress waaay more stylish then michelle hell she got people thinking she is a mature woman in her late 20’s.

nobody expects white America to love African American period. Mrs Obama can wear what she wants.
i rather for her[Mrs. Obama] to be an intelligent, confident, strong woman of color than some fashion minded, dumb, bimbo arm candy of a woman who can hold a conversation or who looks to other for self worth. yo go Meshell !!
girl..that sweater was last minute ..cause they have been making a stink about her wearing sleeveless dresses …so she just grabbed that sweater to shut them up
I’ve seen what they’ve been saying about this woman, and have rreached the conclusion that they know she’s classy, she is what they don’t want us to be, so they have nothing better to than spit venom.
I like the way she dresses, its classy. People focus too much on what she’s wearing anyways.
If the only thing people are using to criticize her is what she’s wearing and who she’s wearing…that’s pretty good.
People always have to have something to complain about. I don’t like the outfit either but Im 24, she’s 45. Two different age groups!
clearly as americans, we have way too much time on our hands, despite the economy, job loss, etc. she can be dressed in a clown suit for all I care. All I want to know is when will this madness end?

I like what she wears 95% of the time. She has her own style and it works for her.
Screw tradition. All of it sucks! Michelle looks awesome and is a wonderful woman. She’s a great role model and we should all aspire to have as much class and self-respect.
Since they can’t find anything negative to say about her they found the one item since arriving that wasn’t up to par. And I don’t think it’s even that bad..if she took off the cardigan sweater she would have still been her classy self.

I didn’t like the outfit but the sweater was cute. BUT then again I never like her choice of clothes. Thank God it is her wearing them and not me. LOL….

First of all, did she have any issues when Sarah Jessica Parker did it in 2004 for Gap’s Fall Fashion collection?? Not only did they not do the first button, they used a broach to wrap the cardigan/sweater and it was fierce then. I thought the look was punk/chic/prep.
I think the sweater is cute. I love Argyle though.
And as for fashion, who the HELL cares what anyone else says? Fashion is supposed to make the wearer happy, not everybody else. Let her wear what she wants. It’s not like she wore neon green fishnets and a basket weave…
And can someone please talk about the dreadful outfit the lady next to Michelle has on? That looks like she found it at the bargain rack at Walmart or Target.
@Daisy #18 there CERTAINLY is a demographic of our country that doesn’t like our First Lady but its blanket there are plenty of “other siders” that must like her and her husband because it took all to get them in office. That separate attitude is going to hold us back. Judge people by the content of their character not by the color of their skin. Divide and conquer is the oldest strategy in the book and it still works. We must all strive to be better that that. Absolute statements are Never true() get it
oh, I almost forgot that statement was directed at Auntie also. Especially because you play for the “OTHER” team. Shame use your power for good not evil. Its just a fashion critique which by judging from that chicks posting she does to all. I’ve said it before and I will say it again Equal= Equal.
I would have took it more seriously if the comment had come from a person of importance.
