Jay Z Defends Olympic Crack Fiend, Phelps
Here I was giving kudos to Jay Z just last week for saving the day for a waitress by dipping into his deep pockets and blessing her with a $500 tip. Now Jay Z defends crack fiend, Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps in a statement to the media. I guess Jay cares more about kissing ass than he does about the kids who look up to these professional athletes.

He tells Cigar Aficionado magazine, “You look at all these people who graduated from Princeton and Harvard, who are supposed to be pillars of the community – every day (they’re) in the newspaper arrested for some kind of financial fraud. “Then you look at someone like Michael Phelps. He’s 23. What’s he gonna do? He’s a kid. He’s going to experiment.”

I honestly don’t know what the whole story is behind these pics of Mary and CSI: Miami star Adam Rodriguez. A witness who was there said, and I quote: “Mary and the guy from CSI: Miami got into it in the VIP”. My source could have been mistaken, but at one point during the shouting match, Mary’s friend Taraji tried to intervene, but was held back by her close “friend” Chaka Zulu (Luda’s manager). In the interest of fairness (and because we are dealing with a legend here) I reached out to a respected industry veteran who was also in the VIP with MJB and Taraji. But unfortunately, he was not entirely forthcoming about what transpired between MJB and Adam. Despite the apparent tension between MJB and Adam in the pictures, the industry veteran said there was “nothing going on” between MJB and Adam. So we are left to draw our own conclusions about what happened.

But, according to witnesses, Taraji broke free and got in Adam’s face. Don’t you LOVE how Taraji stuck up for her girl Mary while the men in the room just stood back and did nothing?
Mary was finally led out of the VIP by security. But many questions remain as to what took place.

Thanks to V-103′s Greg Street, I now know that Soulja Boy’s track “Turn My Swag On” is #1 in New York right now even though it was released 10 months ago. And look who jumped on the remix: Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne, Fabolous, Jim Jones, Maino & Jadakiss!
How did this happen right under our noses when we all wrote Soulja Bwah off as a one-hit wonder? Let Greg Street tell you:
Soulja Boy made a crazy record. He not even rappin’ on the song. The label fucked up because he made that song about 10 months ago — way before “Birdwalk”. How the fuck these labels keep signing artists that’s already hot & then try to convert the formula [the artist] created?
If you don’t sign a artist & develop the artist [or] if the artist comes with the master plan: let the artist, sub label, production company or whoever do what the fuck they do. I showed Outkast how to sell 15 million without doing one show or tour with the double solo cd. If they hadn’t put those albums together like I told ‘em to, they would’ve gone through what they’re going through right now. Back to Soulja Boy, it is what it is. The kids love him & a lot of you 21 & up people were Superman’n last year. 4 months ago everybody said he was a one hit wonder. Now he got 2 songs in the Top 10 from an album that only soild 46,000 1st week.
The label shouldve known these records were hot. They spent all the money on Keyshia Cole & hardly none on Soulja Boy. Now look at that picture. Keyshia is hot — don’t get me wrong — but Soulja Boy has 2 songs in Top 10 Urban & 2 on the Rhythmic charts as well. These labels are listening & puttin’ their trust & money in the wrong people. You can say what you want about Soulja Boy & some of these artists the industry & critics talk down on. Just remember & know the difference between art & science. Like what you like & appreciate it, but you don’t have to hate on the next person for their talent. Bill Gates went with software when everybody else went with hardware. The major labels let Apple set up iTunes & become the biggest distributor of music. Why didn’t the labels build their own music download sites? Talk shit about that! Not a fuckin’ 17-year-old kid who created a 7-million people fan base from his bedroom in Batesfield, MS.

Tyler Perry’s alleged stalker held without bond
WSB-TV posted the mugshot of Tyler Perry’s stalker, Dawne Wilson, 36. Poor thing looks confused out of her mind.
Wilson was arrested on Wednesday outside Perry’s film studio for violating a restraining order he took out on her. Perry says Wilson had a history of stalking him. Can you believe it?
Wilson is currently being held without bond in the Fulton County jail on a charge of aggravated stalking. Her next court date is April 30.

In November 2000, 20 residents of Hearne, TX were rounded up and arrested on drug distribution charges.
While on the surface, the raid seemed to be a triumph in the war on drugs, with 20 criminals behind bars. In reality, the event was an attack on African Americans in the small town of 5,000 people.
All 20 were fingered by a hapless crack addict who later admitted he was threatened by authorities if he did not implicate 20 residents of the Hearne housing projects.
The residents were booked and offered plea bargains if they confessed. Several innocent people took the plea bargain. Regina Kelly, a waitress and mother of four, refused.
With a battle than began that fateful day in November, Kelly became the lead plantiff in the American Civil Liberties Union of Texas lawsuit that accused the district attorney’s office of targeting minorities.
