Obowma refuses to comment on hostage crisis off Somalia *Updated w/video*

Updated: with video. Lol @ “Guys, we’re talking about housing right now.” Did the reporters really think he would comment on the hostage situation after all that bowing and scraping he’s been doing for the past two months? After all, it’s just one American being held hostage.

Is anyone surprised by the fact that Barack Obowma refuses to comment on the Somalia pirates holding an American hostage off the cast of Somalia?

How can he address the hostage situation when he’s already reversed George Bush’s policy on ‘Enemy Combatants’? In Obowma’s perfect world, there’s no such thing as a terrorist. So let’s all forget about that little drama over there and get on with our lives as Obowma would like us to do.

From REUTERS:

Obama was asked to comment on the situation several times by reporters at a White House event on refinancing for homeowners. Obama, however, stuck closely to the script and replied that he wanted to remain focused on housing. READ MORE…

New Music: R.L. – Don’t Talk Just Listen (Mixtape)

Singer/songwriter R.L. (formerly of NEXT), just released a mixtape of new music online. After listening to his mixtape last night, I realized I had forgotten what a talented singer he was!

Congrats to R.L. and his lovely fiancee, Lena. The happy couple got engaged last weekend, which also happened to be R.L.’s birthday weekend. They’re so cute. Don’t they look like sister and brother?

Thanks to loyal reader Cathryn for sending the mixtape!

Lil Wayne: ‘The mothers of my kids are great’

According to Contactnews.com, Lil Wayne is very appreciative of his baby mamas for allowing him to speak to his seeds while he’s busy sowing his oats all over the world:

He said: “The mothers of my kids are great… If I’m calling at three in the morning because I’m in Europe, they’re willing to jump on that call: ‘Wake up! It’s your daddy’. If I haven’t seen my daughter (Reginae, 10) in two months and want to see her, her mum’s packing her stuff up, asking where to send it.”

Lil Wayne is so trifling! Unless he’s the CEO of a fortune 500 company, there’s no excuse for seeing his kids every two months.

Obama plans to push immigration bill despite the risks

Despite the fact that so many are already out of work and this country is mired in a deep recession, Barack Obama will aggressively push his immigration “open borders” bill making it easier for illegal immigrants to come to the U.S. and became legal residents.

None of this is surprising to those of us who don’t get drunk off the Kool-aide:

While acknowledging that the recession makes the political battle more difficult, President Obama plans to begin addressing the country’s immigration system this year, including looking for a path for illegal immigrants to become legal, a senior administration official said on Wednesday.

Mr. Obama will frame the new effort — likely to rouse passions on all sides of the highly divisive issue — as “policy reform that controls immigration and makes it an orderly system,” said the official, Cecilia Muñoz, deputy assistant to the president and director of intergovernmental affairs in the White House.

But with the economy seriously ailing, advocates on different sides of the debate said that immigration could become a polarizing issue for Mr. Obama in a year when he has many other major battles to fight.

Opponents, mainly Republicans, say they will seek to mobilize popular outrage against any effort to legalize unauthorized immigrant workers while so many Americans are out of jobs. READ MORE…

To those of you who say I’m an illegal immigrant, let me correct you: my mother brought my brothers and me to this country from London legally by filing the necessary paperwork and waiting for permission to bring us over. She didn’t just sneak us into the country. Therefore, I am a legal resident of the U.S.

What Obama wants to do is eliminate the immigration laws so people who sneaked into this country illegally can stay in the U.S. Isn’t that nice of him?

Good luck competing with those people for jobs when that happens!
