Producer Pharrell Williams underwent painful laser treatments to remove tattoos from both his arms, neck and upper torso recently. I seem to recall in my memory banks seeing a picture of Pharrell undergoing this same procedure in the past. Apparently he learned nothing from that experience. It takes a special kind of fool to mutilate his body in the name of fads or trends. These are the types of individuals who live for the here and now without considering the consequences of their actions. This procedure is what every tatted up rapper has to look forward to in his declining years. Unless he wants to be 75-years-old and living in a nursing home with hideous tattoos all over his body.

I am glad he realized that tats may be art but not everyone finds them attractive, they are distracting if anything.

I actually agree with you...Got several in college, had them removed a few yrs ago. Who cares about being 75 in a nursing home, my concern was the workplace...Tats have no place in the work place imo, and if the entertainment industry doesn't work out, these men and women need to know that all that ink is just going to hold you back while trying to enter the real world...Especially tats you cant hide ie on the neck...

I was going to add Dennis Rodman but he is such a trainwreck waiting for the best time to derail that I don't think he will live to be 75.

I loved the neck tat lol. I do believe 50 cent is having some sort of treatment as well.

And who cares if you're 75 with hideous tats? They tell a story. A story that I would like to hear if I ever encountered a 75 year old with a whole heap of tats.

Some ppl don't like stories. LOL. I know what you are saying because it's like a war wound, it's who you are. I don't like when you over do it. I have one but I can hide it, kind of. My nephew has one on his neck and lost his job over it. He had his job for two years. Granny passed away and he put her name and bday on his neck. He worked in the kitchen where it's 200 degrees, he was not going to wear a turtle neck. Some ppl don't think before they do things.

Lol @ the 75 Nursing home comment.

By the time these people reach 75 it won't look weird because they will be surrounded by so many other 75 year olds with tats.

The proceedure to get them off I heard hurts like hell. Pharrell you's a bad man.

Okay its a choice a person makes, I have a angel on my right arm. I'm 36 yrs work in the office for the last 13 yrs. I make decent bank and my husband does also.
We (my family) husband and two kids want or need for nothing. My bosses who own the company sees my tat everyday, more in the summer time. Nothing said to my face about it, may be behind closed doors. Plus I live in a work at will state here in SC they can fired without warning! But I must say my tat has nothing to do with my knowledge and the job I I have in accounting. That bring the $$$$$$ to that checking and life savings, 401k account and kids savings account for college! Don't judge every book by its cover! Because sometimes you can open a bokk to read and actually learn a thing or two! Now maybe one day I will regret it but at the moment it does not define me and how I handle my own in the world!

  • GAGIRL73

I stand to correct my self...I book is the word t wanted to display. peace!

    I here ya GAGIRL!!

I know a friend that has "Living the good life" in BIG letters tatted across her chest!! Now, that seems like a BIG mistake in my eyes.....and then she put about 10 to 12 stars on the right side of her face? WTH!

But your nephew isn't a rock star though. I think it's different with them. Getting tattoos (especially neck ones) doesn't effect their pockets as it does John & Jane Doe.

  • flyqtnva

So did it work for him....when they take the bandages off will it be just like it was before he got the tatto?????

  • GAGIRL73

Cupcakes thank you....as for your friend she is BOLD but to each is own! I'm not going that far ever, ever! Our Blessings of living a decent life. We not richie rich just to be clear but I'm grateful for the ability to still have. It comes from God and the hard work we put in with no doubt, even with my tat on my arm!

Probably not...I don't know what they did to him, and I'm sure advances have been made since I did it, but with me it took several treatments...After all was said and done I was left with patches of skin that looked like they needed some serious tanning...Cocoa butter and a few months into summer took care of that.

I don't know what being 75 has to do with it. Some poeple just go too far even for their own taste. I think a full arm tat can be nice if it is continuous in some way. But having a million differant tats on your arm looks stupid to me.

  • Kat

i have 5 tats but they can all be covered if they need to be.

  • missnee

LOL I have a few tattoos.
    *behind the ears
    *on each wrist
    *Inside upper arm
    *Lower Back
    *Upper Back
    *Chest Piece

I plan on getting more when the right piece comes along, but I do know one thing, I could give two fux about what my tattoos are going to look like when i'm 75. I don't show my shit off like that now so why would i be running around with my chest hanging out and so on and so forth. when i'm 75 i'm going to be wrinkled and liver spotted. i think how your tattoos are going to look at 75 is the least to worry about as far as growing old

as far as work...you would be surprised how many people are heavily tattoo'd but cover it up with clothes. it's easier then you think

  • NYCUTIE

Tattoos are cool if they are placed where it could be covered up if need be.

  • pointhimout

publicity. doesn't NERD have a new cd about to drop?

  • pointhimout

#12, and you have no pictures of this NESS to post?
