Hopefully most of you are aware of the massive anti-tax and anti-bailout “tea parties” planned for today all over America. The biggest tea parties will take place in Atlanta, New York and D.C. Please attend a tea party in your area and send a message to your legislators, Congress and to the Obama administration that you are tired of being over-taxed to pay for their overspending.
Congress just approved over $3 billion in wasteful spending for Obama. Don’t sit on your hands and let others do the hard work for you while you reap the benefits. Imagine the oppression we would still be living under if our grandparents didn’t get out there and march during the civil rights era.
March for your rights NOW to avoid paying for Obama’s overspending later on. Your children and their children will thank you!

YES WE CAN!
Does that figure include the TRUE amount that we have and will continue to spend in Iraq. The other side is fine with SPENDING as long as it’s for a war! They got richer over the last 8yrs so I am ok with the richest 2% paying more taxes. The more you make the more taxes you pay it’s been that way FOREVER!!! This is nothing new under the sun!

We figured she was the headliner based on her Oscar, and the support people have for b/c of her family tragedy. Poor thing though, a perennial big gurl with no tatas nor booty. Don’t make assumptions. I am NO Bush fan. Bush was no conservative because he was the one that started these socialistic bailouts. And yes, his VERY unncessary war

If you are broke, you don’t spend loads of more money and claim you are ‘spending your way out of debt’. It boggles my mind how many people fall for that idiotic logic.
Passing a hundred billion dollar stimulus bill without even READING it should outrage EVERYONE. I would like to know why many approve of this massive spending when many of the bucks are going to pet pork projects for Democrats AND Republicans.

Amen! My ultimate motivation for attending the tea party is the simple fact that I have a one year old nephew who will be paying for Obama disastrous economic policies as an adult.
It’s easy to fall back on the same tired ‘blame Bush’ or ‘what about Bush’ rhetoric when the current POTUS is just as disastrous, if not moreso.

@ Lala I love everything you siad. & I voted for Obama because I thought those were the type of changes he would be enforcing. Hate to say I’m disappointed because he is not. Since he has been in office he has bailed out big companies. I know its only been a few months but at the track record he is setting, I’m not feeling him like I use to.
I thought he would do something about health insurance, high tutions things that effect the Middle class families. I have yet to see it.

They did use that money to hire and that’s why you had a job for the last 8 years. I don’t recall my friends being laid off until Obama took office. Now more than half of my friends have been laid off.
Iscream I was watching CNN the other day and Ali Velshi talked about the new tax plan. Middle Class families with a school age child and another in college (i think making 100G) will go from paying 22,000 in taxes to 15,000. There was also a bill passed that created a new grant that people can get depending on what their major/field is.
I’m not the biggest Obama fan but I do think that those issues that you just mentioned will take time but Howard Dean was just talking about getting Health Care taken care of soon.

It just makes me so sad that the education in our country is so lacking that these assholes don’t seem to understand NO ONE has had their taxes go up, and when the Bush Tax Cuts expire, the rich will be taxed at the rate they were under the Clinton boom times.
More than that, that the Bush tax cuts were meant to stimulate the economy, AND THEY FAILED SPECTACULARLY–except as a proof that trickle-down is a fantasy.
Where were these people when Cheney and Halliburton were ransacking the treasury with no-bid , unaudited contracts that they never had to fulfill? Obama put the war in the budget, instead of off budget like W, but deficit spending is what Republicans do.

well i’ll say this before i turn in … when i lost my job in feb .. my healthcare went with it .. i got my COBRA package info .. and the total cost for just MY benefits were 589.00 A MONTH … now .. if u are uneployed .. where are u going to get that money from .. since the stimulus package was passed .. i got my new COBRA package .. and it will now cost me appox 178.00 a month .. even working from home making 48% less .. i can afford that … Thank You President Obama

I heard a guest on Rev Al breakdown why AIG/GM and other companies had to be bailed out. That’s a wonderful thing. I’ve never understood what the hell was the point of COBRA. They’ve always known darn well that if someone is unemployed (unless they’re already rich)they couldn’t afford to spend $1000 a month to insure a family of 4. I think the insurance companies have counted on this. 4 less people for them to worry about covering.
