Random Pictures Post: Who’s That Girl?
The caption says “Vashtie Kola attends her birthday party at Santos on April 28, 2009 in New York City.” OK… nice kicks, but who is she?
Here lately I’ve noticed random people throwing birthday parties for themselves and hiring Wireimage photographers to come out and shoot. Is that all it takes to get your shine on in a national medium now? Does this mean if I throw my birthday party and hire a Wireimage photographer, I can be all up on Wireimage too? Not that I would ever consider doing such a thing. I’m not as important as these people apparently think they are.
We all know who the rap icon Q Tip is. So is she his girlfriend? It’s a sad reflection of the times when all a chick has to do to get face time in the press is hook up with a well-known public figure.
Former Floetry member Amanda Diva attended Vashtie’s party. Not that it means anything. Especially when you consider that quite a few people gain notoriety based on who they know. Take June Ambrose for instance: she’s well known in NY for her famous clients. But outside of her small snobbish circle, she’s a nobody.

i googled her : Vashtie Kola represents one of New York’s more well known mutli-talented creatives. Taking some time out of her busy schedule, she offers us a glimpse into her everyday life. As well as the reasoning as to why she looked to fashion to go alongside her all ready strong resume which includes video director, party promoter, artist and creative director
I think that’s the girl that dated Pharell so she got her fame from that. She must be somebody if folks from the industry are attending her events. Why you trippin because YOU dont know her??

Amanda never recorded music under the name floetry, they just did a couple of concerts together I still don’t know the purpose of that. If Amanda wasn’t biracial she would have no career at all, I am still not sure what she does really

Oh Daisy I didn’t give a reason as to why I thought Tip was gay. I just asked if anyone ever heard the song where his group member called him out on it. I was personally heart broken when I first heard it. I use to have the biggest crush on Q Tip.

She is a video director and is heavily involved with the Art scene in NYC. I’ve heard of her b4. She directed Solange’s new video for T.O.N.Y (didn’t like it tho) and also Slim & Ryan Leslie’s Good Lovin video (again, did not like).
