Thousands turn out for Atlanta tea party

Fed up Atlantans turned out by the thousands for an organized rally in downtown Atlanta tonight to protest wild spending by the Obama administration and Congress.

The Atlanta Tea Party which was planned for 3 hours was scaled back an hour and will now end at 9 pm. Still, an estimated two thousand people clogged downtown in cars and on foot snarling traffic around the state Capitol building.

Fox News host Sean Hannity is broadcasting his Sean Hannity Show live from a stage at the Capitol building beginning at 7 pm. But Fox will not use the crowds as a backdrop for Hannity’s set fearing clashes between Obama supporters (read: blacks) and frustrated tax payers.

UPDATE:

Crowd estimated at 15,000 to 20,000 in downtown Atlanta!!

This was so pointless! What they want the government to do..ask for a refund? and where were all of these protesters during the Bush Administration..the ones that got us in this mess! Why not wait to see if his plan fails before prematurely putting energy into rejecting his ideas when no one else (not even republicans) have provided any viable options? Why aren’t people mad about the inadequate public education system?

The tea party in the NYC was on point.

And that is A-O.K. if Obama and his spending-spree buddies in Washington want to ignore us– we will certainly ignore them come election time.

Sandra I watched Keith Olbermann last night and he was exposing FAUX NEWS lies about attendance at these rallies. There is a reporter on camera saying there was 2000 people at a rally and then later on he said there were 15000…LOL please stop it.

And I heard there were only 300 at the rally in my birth city Philly…lol hi haters!

Like someone said those same people who are protesting are the ones being helped…

And anti-pc stop it, if Bush can get re-elected after four years then surely Obama will especially if the economy turns around…

And how about Sallie Mae returning from overseas to create thousands of jobs here, that sure didn’t happen under Bush…really you guys need to broaden your news sources…all it’s doing is making you sound redundant and a little bit touched in the head…

Hey KC! I don’t care if they had a million people at every tea party in the country. Barack H. Obama is STILL gonna be the President and that is ok by me..lol

    Hey Daisy!!!

Yal know I don’t put my dueces up for Barack on a regular but give credit where it’s due. If Bush actually did something worth while I would have been like okay, good job too. Just because you are on the opposing side does not mean you make up fallacies and criticize every little thing for no reason!

As for the news I watch Kieth, Jon Steward, Stephen Colbert, sometimes CNN, definitely the BBC, Democracy Now and I read the net because everything else ain’t worth my time or energy.

    FAUX news is a joke!

  23. 23
    kcicero says:

I feel Sharonda but there are outside reliable news sources that I turn too like Democracy Now, the BBC is pretty unbiased in their reporting, love Jon Steward and Stephen Colbert because they show how ludicrous some of this stuff is and EVERYONE is fair game including Obama.

Also like you said consulting multiple sources to make sure that sh*t add up! Most people don’t do that though they believe whatever the major networks are saying…

    anti-PC says:

LOL @ kcicero whose source was Keith Olbermann. He is the left’s Ann Coulter!

To all who can’t stand people protesting against their beloved President:

If Obama’s economic plans are rock solid and you know within your heart of hearts that it will work, then STOP complaining about those who protest against it. Just move on about your business.

And for the record, I am not a Bush fan AT ALL. Only the uninformed actually believe that anyone who dislikes Obama supported Bush.

  26. 26
    kcicero says:

He is not the left version of Ann Coulter…again misinformed! He was just talking crap about Obama the other day…our one and only Sandra D posted it. Snd I love how you missed all of the other news sources I mentioned for that one. So what do you watch read…FAUX News?

  27. 27

    I think you’re confusing Kieth with Chris…

  29. 29

Both Keith and Chris are shrill.

The only difference is, Keith doesn’t feel tingles up his leg just by looking at Obama!

People can protest my beloved President all they want I think its FUNNY. This is America we have the right to free speech and protest have at it. Just because I don’t throw my beloved President under the bus every chance I get doesn’t mean I believe he is perfect and can walk on water.

For the record I have heard Keith disagree with Obama more than once.
