Be careful about buying anything off Craigslist. Nina Brown, morning show producer on V-103, was ripped off twice attempting to purchase airline tickets on Craigslist. If it can happen to her it can happen to you! Click the image to watch the news report.

i would never purchase airline tickets from craigslist. somethings you just buy from the site.

  • carmelita79

    why would you do that?

  • ReadTheBlog

    Yea, verily...

  • keely107

wouldnt happen to me, I for one dont have disposable cash to EVEN try to purchase anything that is not an even swap at point of sale. LOL.

u got duped twice ....what did she not learn the first time

  • miamore73

I'm with Keely if I hand you money you hand me item. You ain't leaving with my money if I ain't leaving with the merchandise. PERIOD.

  • Anna

If I got ripped off once I would not have tried it again. Craigslist is a free online advertising venue with no regulations. I would have tried my luck with Ebay. They are regulated and there are conquences for not honoring the merchandise. Craigslist is for looking for a car or an appliance and traveling the distance to look at the product and making sure is not only for sale but looks like the pic.

Isn't there an investigation going on with the title "The Craigslist Murders"?

  • ReadTheBlog

The suspected murderer, a medical student, has been caught. Crazy ass white boy.

We had great success selling our boxer puppies on Craigslist.

Poor thing.. Airline tickets?? Twice?? **blank stare**

  • flyqtnva

fool me once..shame on you...fool me twice?????? how??? what??? why???

  • ursmyle4me

I do not spend over $50 from any place or website that cannot provide me with a receipt. Craiglist is for free items, barter items, and garage sales. I would never go there to purchase any high price items.

Airline tickets? That's what priceline is for.

Was she flying to Africa that she needed a hookup that bad? Purchasing miles from an unknown source? All the people she knows that fly alot? Why not ask one of them?

  • Daisy

    Yeah everything yall said

  • mizzdallas

    smdh.... I have no words

  • yvonne79

Let's see, we could've used a travel agent, Expedia, Travelocity, Priceline, etc. You don't hear anyone referring you to Craigslist to purchase airline tickets. My goodness! And then you went back a 2nd time!?! You've got to be kidding me. Bless her heart.

  • attorneymom

Isn't AirTran a sponsor of the Frank and Wanda Morning Show?? I too have a **blank stare**.

  • makvay

SMH, like, she seems cool when they show Frank and Wanda on tv..but damn, you may get fired if your boss figures out how retarded you are. WTF buys plane tickets from craigslist..then pays before their verified. I need to find her so I can sell her the Brooklyn Bridge real quick.

  • attorneymom

Nina, keep your head up. I allowed Luther Ragsdale to jack me for $397.00 for a real estate seminar on this past weekend. It happens to the best of us. I am still kicking myself.

  • yvonne79

@attorneymom...I'm sure you WILL NOT go back for seconds

  • attorneymom are correct. Mr. Ragsdale will not get the $997.00 for the next real estate seminar scheduled for this weekend.

Sidebar: I was trying to be nice by not comment on the fact that this happened to her twice. : - )

  • attorneymom

    I meant commenting. Sorry.

  • cahjan

I have used craigslist to buy and sell plenty of items. you just have to know who you are dealing with. I communicate and ask several questions. I have rented properties out of state like this also. Actually just got back from a short vacation from Florida; rented a timeshare for the weekend!
Craigslist can be dangerous, but it can also be useful.

Funny thing about this girl is, she talks MAJOR stuff on her XM radio show and would DEFINITELY had clowned anyone that would have told her that they got got.. Hilarious!

  • mina

I thought V103 was affiliated with AirTran...
Nina is "rich" (she was bragging on the radio once about how her 2009 car is paid for), so why was she looking cheap tickets on craiglist?!?

She may have a smidget of paper but she may also be dumb as rocks.. Who knows..

  • brwnsugga4you

    twice??? w.o.w.

  • pointhimout

how lame of her to buy tickets from craigslist. NEXT

  • Ilovepink1981

ohhh Readtheblog, do you have anymore puppies? I want another addition to my fur family and I want a boxer

  • Ilovepink1981

Craigslist is shady anyways. A friend of mines found a job on craigslist and the guy promised her whatever salary she wanted because he was opening up a new company and needed her to run it and devote all of her time. Come to find out the guy was a scam artist, lived in his office, wrote bad checks to secure a new office location(with a recording studio, photo studio, design studio...)

  • LilMissRed

note to Nina.. there are some things u just dont buy on Craigslist i.e. airline tickets. AND not only did u fall for it 1x... ummmm 2x??? whats that saying, "the first time shame on you.... the 2nd time shame on me??"

    thats just stupid

  • candycane

    Now that's a dumb maphucka

O-K-K-Kay! She don't look like she'd be that game goofy, but then again looks can be deceiving! I guess this is another case of "THAT'S WHAT YO DUMB A$$ GET!"

  • UrbanBeauty

    @i love pink:
"promised her whatever salary she wanted "<----That should've been your friends FIRST clue. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is!

  • selly

@ NYCUTIE: You're thinking about Nina9 from XM ... this is Nina Brown @ V103...
