Talib Kweli & DJ Eque Ties One On?

Yesterday, at a private residence in Bel Air, Talib Kweli and DJ Eque tied the knot. They were surrounded by a very small group of friends who included Queen Latifah, Questlove, DJ Rashida, Adam Rodriguez (of CSI) and family. The reception took place outdoors underneath white tents where guests cooled off under the 90 degree weather with Hennessy Continentals (a drink that includes Hennessy VSOP, cranberry and pineapple juices). In the photo below and attached, the happy couple pose right before sitting down to eat an early dinner with their guests. Hennessy also gifted the glowing pair with a few bottles of Hennessy Paradis which retail at $500 a pop.
I would not be living up to my reputation as a hater if I didn’t point out how tacky this wedding photo is. Times must really be hard if the bills for Talib Kweli and DJ Eque’s wedding were written off by a liquor company. I thought certain things in life were sacred? It doesn’t matter if the wedding was free. I’m not posing for my wedding photos holding a bottle of hard liquor. It just ain’t right. Congrats to the happy couple though.

I held a bottle of Henn in my hand and took a picture too. I know damn well no one footed my bill.

It’s just a snapshot from the wedding. I’m sure Hennessy is not in their professional wedding pics. As an engaged woman trying to perform the miracle of having an affordable wedding that all of my family and friends can attend let me tell you I lick the feet of the receptionist at Hennessy to get them to pay for my wedding. It’s ridiculously expensive no matter how you slice it.

While this photo may be leaning toward the “classless” side, I’m sure that they took plenty of other pictures minus the Hen bottle. At least he wasn’t popping champagne and pouring it all over the bride. I’m sure that may happen at Jim Jones wedding or something…

o.k peeps, I saw Obsessed last night. Guess what, IMO Bey did her thing. In that trailor of the movie I saw/heard Bey but watching the whole movie I didn’t. Ali Carter stole it as the crazy biotch but Bey held her own and cracked me up kicking her azz at the end. Idris was great as usual. I liked the movie and all of the performances.
Her dress is cute, it’s not something I’d pick but it isn’t flat out ugly either.

& miss justice I do not feel sorry for Kelly. If she was hurt by Jason to the point she had to file for divorce I don’t know why she would want to get back with him. He hasn’t done anything to show her he has changed. He actually has moved on with his life. She needs to do the same.
Poor lil Brit Brit. Its always hard on the kids but I don’t believe in being in an unhealthy relationship for the sake of kids. It doesn’t help in the grand scheme of things.

People who are still in love with their wife/husband file for divorce everyday. Divorce does not always mean you no longer love your spouse. Kelly still loves Jason and he still loves her he may have “moved on” but don’t beleive the hype. Men love to say women are needy but they tend to rebound much faster than women.
That being said if they do come back next season Kelly and Jason can be replaced by a new couple and I would NOT miss them at all..lol

After going back and watching the season 1 and 2 episodes that I missed of The Game, I understood why Kelly was done with Jason. I used to be on his side until I caught those episodes. I think Jason didn’t know what he had until he lost it and wanted it back. I think that even though he’s feeling Stacey at the end of the day he wants his Kel.
I hope they both are back next year.

He wouldnt give it at that time so she felt she had no other choice/option but to file. They both did their dirt but she was willing to work on the marriage. I hope they come back as well.

@Fly NOT so fast..lol They BOTH married for the wrong reasons. They both acknowlegded that. I don’t think he tried all that hard. He waited until she was fed up and was ready to walk BEFORE he started taking her serious. Until then he thought he could BUY her back but she kept telling him it was MORE than that.

Overall Jason is still going to be Jason. He hasn’t done anything to show her he has changed. She just wants him back now because he is with someone else. To that I would say my gain, Stacey’s lost.
Yeah, he was wrong for doing the pimping Kelly out thing. I think in his eyes, she was dressed like a hoe so he was saying you wanna be a hoe I’m going to treat you like a hoe. He went too far though.
I don’t think she ever wanted to divorce him, she was just showing him that she wasn’t going to put up with his chit any longer.

Let me say that this was the ONLY picture the publicist sent out to the blogs. Therefore, the liquor company footed the bill for the wedding and they paid a publicist to make sure you know that.
