Kanye West smacks that during Keri Hilson’s performance of Knock You Down on David Letterman
Songwriter Keri Hilson — who really should stick to what she does best — performed a live version of “Knock You Down” with Kanye West on Late Night With David Letterman last night. Her performance was subpar – like something you would see on amateur night at the Apollo. Would I be wrong if I said Keri sounds worse than Beyonce did on that fake audio tape of her singing on The Today Show? Sorry, Keri fans, but if you don’t want the truth about your idols don’t come to my blog.

I always say Sandra is just over the top with stuff, but this time I have to agree! I love Keri Hilson. I think she’s a breath of fresh air in a stale industry because she’s so different, but this performance wasn’t her best… sorry Miss Keri.
Keri kinda reminds me of Kelly Rolland. I just don’t think Keri has “it”. Her album did much better than I thought it would, but I think it’s run it’s course. Not even Kanye can bring her to life. She’s like Melinda Dolittle; meant to play the background.

i must agree with sandra!!! this was the worst…and her album aint all that hot to me…there about like 4 songs that i actually dig
keri is a songwriter who ventured to the other side. they do that sometimes. sometimes it works (missy was hot for a looong time) sometimes it doesn’t (ashanti was hot for a short time)…

Before shanti was signed 2 muder inc. she was sign 2 another label where she was penning songs 4 different artists & she was still writing songs 4 other artist when she was sign to the now dyfunct label murder inc.
Keri, could have impressed me with her “talent” had she stayed away from the “drama” of that remix. After that, I thought well maybe she isn’t that talented. Yes, Chrisette Michelle is FIRE and she is and will always be all over my Myspace page.

Good Morning. I couldn’t get past the 1:52 mark, Keri sounds terrible. I sing better than that … real talk.
I love the choreography though, them girls jumping all over the place looked good, seemed like they were really into it.
Positive on Keri — her arms look great (See Daisy) Would love to have her do some writing for KeyCo or with Mo. Those are ladies who I want to hear sing, even JHud …

Chrisette’s first CD was the bomb! Still don’t understand why the album didn’t do better than it did. The girl can blow.I’ve heard two tracks from the new one and I am far from disappointed. As soon as my lunch hour gets here, I am running to Best Buy.

as i stated in another posted- i thought Keri was OK last night . I woke up in the middle of her performance and believe it or not (not even talking about how she blows) but i thought she was beyonce by the way she was moving and dancing. I was like damn B rocking a short hair doo know!!!!!!. But we all know that b can sing!!!
I LOVE Keris cd! When she was on Rip the runway her performance was good to me. I did not watch this clip though. This is the Kanye I know and love!!!! LOVE THIS SONG

keri is just a cute girl to me…..that’s pretty much it. her cd is alright though.
like I told Johnta Austin before he called the cops on me for my honesty, stick to songwriting and you’ll go far in this business. Keri’s a beautiful girl. Why throw all that away in pursuit of becoming a household name? Collect them phat publishing checks from here til eternity. that’s household enough for me.
