La La Vazquez Responds

Earlier we told you about TV personality La La Vazquez losing her cool during the Nuggets vs Mavs game last night. We know that La La is as innocent and pure as the driven snow. She had every right to defend herself after crazed Mavs fans attacked her and her son during the game. We would not have expected any less from her.

La La’s publicist sent the blogs a personal statement from La La:

La La Vazquez became distressed during a heated playoff game, after being verbally attacked by some opposing fans, who were using racial slurs, calling her child crude names and throwing ice cubes. She sent her son home early and was preparing to leave herself when she was physically pushed. Although shaken, she left the premises on her own will and is happy to be at home with her fiancée and child.

“Obviously the play-offs games bring out the best and the worst in fans but what happened on Monday night with the racial slurs/threats, verbal attacks on my son and physical attacks to myself by irate fans was unacceptable,” states La La. “The fans were totally out of control. What the cameras captured was me defending myself and didn’t show the abuse that was taking place.”

Her side of the story is accurate as reported by TNT and a statement of apology issued by Mark Cuban the owner of the Mavericks(opposing team). They were taunting the family members and Mark Cuban called the team a group of thugs and some other profane things. He also said and pointed his hand in Kenyon Martins moms face and told her that includes your son. He also refused to sit near her. This is all in response to the spankings they had received in prior games.

It’s not that far fetched to believe the racial slurs or the taunt to kids. Their OWNER was going at it with a players mom point. If you read the comments after reading an article on msn or yahoo sweetie this is all they say. Racial slurs, name calling, ghetto thugs, punks, coons, I’ve seen it all so it doesn’t surprise me a big. And lets not forget they’re in Texas. Kick azz and take names LaLa if they flucking with yours.

If the camera’s at the game didn’t catch it on film I doubt that Melo, who was playing a high energy game knew what was going on at the time. I’m sure they hear boos and overzeouls (sp) fans all the time and block them out.

I agree with Isc, depends on where they were and when it was happening. I heard it was towards the end of the game so 1. that’s probably why LaLa stayed so she could be like Melo, this mofo fans done lost their minds…blah, blah, blah but also 2. if he left that court he would’ve probably been suspended for the rest of the playoffs. It’s better that he didn’t find out until after the fact.

Peggy, a season-ticket holder who sat in the row behind Carmelo Anthony’s love LaLa Vazquez and Kenyon Martin’s mother last night, put the blame for the bad scene during Game 4 squarely on Melo’s fiancee and her bodyguard.

The hostility started, according to Peggy, when the bodyguard turned around and loudly and crudely insulted her.

“Everybody started defending me,” she said, “and it just got really nasty.”

Peggy (who asked that her last name not be used) strongly denied that any Mavs fans used racial slurs or threatened Vazquez, a VH1/MTV personality. She said the only time any Mavs fan touched Vazquez was when a girl in Peggy’s group accidentally brushed against her while reaching for a purse underneath her seat.

“Don’t you ever (beep) touch me again!” Vazquez responded, according to Peggy, who added that Vazquez also flicked soda on them at that point.

“If that would have been any other fan, they would have been tossed out long before that girl was,” Peggy said. “That little girl needed attention. Apparently, she’s a has-been whatever.”

Peggy said nobody harassed Lydia Moore, Kenyon Martin’s mother. Peggy, who went to Game 2 in Denver and had pleasant conversations with K-Mart’s mom during Game 3, said Moore and the man seated next to her seemed to be enjoying the attention early in the game and didn’t do anything to cause trouble.

But it bothered Peggy that MFFLs are being portrayed as racist hooligans while Vazquez is playing the victim.

“Dallas fans are getting a bad rap for this,” Peggy said. “I think they’re pulling the race card, and there’s nothing to it. It’s ridiculous, because it’s not at all what they’re saying.

“Those people just wanted attention.”

Daisy, I agree about Top Model. Janice was the best. I didn’t have enough time to start liking Kimora but Janice made an instant impact on the show.

Fo was my fav girl, but Tiona has killed it the entire year. Celia was a BAD BYTCH on the fashion tip. She was sharp on errr episode. Did you see the episode when they were posing with Ciara?
