Morning Wood: Ballers and Their Toys

Nothing says LOVE more than seeing a man spending quality time with his baby. Not the two-legged kind — the 4-legged kind that sits on dubs. On average, ballers spend more time and money on their rides than they do on any other prized possession.
While perusing the Internets this weekend looking for wheels to spruce up my Jetta, I came across a gallery of celebrities posing with their favorite rides outfitted by rim specialists, Lexani. None of the rims pictured cost less than $2,000.
Extravagant over expenditures notwithstanding, even I have to admit these ballers look sexy alongside their whips. I realize I haven’t put up a Morning Wood post in a minute, and some of you are getting antsy to see one. So hopefully this post will suffice.

I am coming out with a magazine that is similar to “Forbes” but in order to be in it. You will have to certify that you are a “Baller” meaning I need certified bank statements in your name, showing your true value and assets. I would be surprised that more than 10% of these so called ballers have even more than 200K liquid in their accounts

Hello All. It’s amazing how we black folks tend to find so much comfort in material things. I was born in a small town in VA and whenever I go back to visit, all the younguns are driving around in cars with expensive rims. (Saturns, Kias, Colts, Corollas, VWs) Mind you, they don’t own a house, many haven’t even finished high school, yet they invest thousands of dollars in rims just to impress. To me, this is sheer foolishness not to mention a waste of money. (Don’t mean to preach, just speaking my peace.) One last note. One of my friends asked her white boyfriend if his mother ever taught him how to dress. He told her no, that she taught him how to save money and how to get a good education. I’d say this is damn good advice. Peaceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

As the old saying goes “I have never seen a Uhaul following a hearsh to the cemetery”. I am not saying you can’t buy it because you can’t take it with you but , how many with money now will end up in their well beyond “golden years” in a smelly public nursing home because they did not invest in themselves, but were so busy buying unnecessary things to impress the less impressed. How many will even have money for a funeral that are “ballin” now when (if they are blessed and )GOD takes them home with him?)
