Brooklyn rapper (and my nephew) Maino drops a video for his third single off his 2nd studio album If Tomorrow Comes. At the end of the video is a brief documentary on the life and times of Maino -- a true MC in every meaning of the word. He ranks up there with Jadakiss, Jeezy and T.I. as word slayers assigned by the rap Gods to bring Life to Hip Hop. If Tomorrow Comes is slated for release on June 30. That's not soon enough. Maino needs to come on and drop this album now!

    Morning Fam! TGIF!!!!!

    I love his song with T Pain All the Above!

  • Shauny

    Don't care for Maino. I remember mostly hearing his name during the Foxy/Kim beefs mor than for his lyrics. He was such a lyrical beast in Hi Hater...NOT

  • Coo Coo Bananas

    I saw him at Chuck E Cheese last year lol. Had kids wearing his Hi Hater shirts. Cute lol.

  • Daisy

    @Shauny I was glad Melo and Denver stepped up and won last night I was about to be MAD!..lol

    On Topic- I don't like the word hater but I did like the Hi Hater song..lol

  • kwallace577

    maino better than jadakiss? really sandra? um...okay. i like this dude and all, but jada is one of the best who ever did it. i guess i am gonna hafta fine tune my ears to hear this lyrical hotness maino supposedly got...

  • Shauny

    Oh Daisy - I thought when I read your comment in the other post that you were rooting for LA. Melo has been doing his thing in the last 2 rounds. It's the rest of the Nuggets that've been hit or miss. They should be up 2-0 but that's o.k. We got this.

    Hi Haters lyrics were so pre K for me. I wouldn't put him in a Jada, Jeezy, and TI league. Maybe more like a Soulja Boy, Hammer, and Luke league...lol

  • Daisy

    @Shauny Although I am going for Melo and Denver I wouldnt be so quick to say they got this..lol They are still playing the lakers and Kobe whom I have never liked. So I do hope you are correct.lol

    Although I like the Hi hater song I wasn't saying he was a lyrical guru..lol

  • flyqtnva

    @mizzdallas
    I'm off @ 2 today as well and I dont have to come back till Wensday. Thats whats up.

  • kwallace577

    ok glad i checked back to see if i was the only one tripping when i said this cat is NOT up there with Tip and jadakiss as far as lyrical greatness goes...for that matter i don't think jeezy is up there with them either, but whatever. a matter of taste i guess.

    i am an old hip hop head so i know greatness when i hear it (i think..) lol.

  • flyqtnva

    @kwallace577
    i AGREE Maino is good but we will never get back what we were exposed to in the early stages of Rap...to this day I bump WUTANG, GZA, CAPPAdonna (The PIllage) is the bomb, TUPAC, never was a biggie fan or jayz, the OLD NAS stuff, all my rap stuff came out in 1989-1997 or 8.

  • Sharonda

    I really don't care for Maino.Something about his flow is off.I wouldn't put him up there Jada
