Obama’s Credit Card
Barack Obama is asking Congress to pass a credit card reforms bill that would strengthen protections for Americans who are behind on their credit card bills.
A few of the restrictions being placed on what Obama calls “abusive credit card practices” are: a ceiling on credit card interest rates, a 30-day advanced warning before raising interest rates, and requiring CC companies to mail bills at least 21 days before the payment is due instead of the 14 days as they do now.
The reforms in Obama’s bill are expected to save Americans $15 billion each year on penalties and fees. “This is not free money; it’s debt,” Obama said. “And you shouldn’t take on more than you can handle.”

UUUGGHHH, I can’t believe I am about to say this….
I agree with Obama on this one. These credit card companies are out of control. I understand when they come down on those who are constantly late on their payments and deadbeat payers, but when you come down on the faithful, never-late payers…that’s just greedy.
And a majority of these credit card providers received tax-payer bailout money to keep their sorry companies afloat and still raised people’s rates to as high as 28%!
I agree with Obama on this one.
If we didn’t want the current administration to spend all of this money and build up a hecka of a debt…
Than the PAST administrations should have run the country right and invested in this country’s infrastructure instead of being shady…
And another thing…there is NO WAY TO RUN A COUNTRY OF THIS SIZE WITHOUT INCURRING DEBT…
