Kate and Jon Gosselin Call it Quits
Kate and Jon Gosselin finally called it quits after Kate caught her hubby spooning a grade school teacher who’s young enough to be Kate’s little sister.
It’s difficult to believe if this is real life or just another scripted cliffhanger for their show “Jon and Kate Plus 8.” But the parents of the Gosselin sextuplets and twins (3 boys and 5 girls) have decided to call it quits.
The announcement wasn’t made via press release or Twitter, the couple announced their decision via their TV show on Monday — which means the announcement was taped.
Ten minutes before the conclusion of the episode, text ran over the screen stating, “On Monday June 22, 2009, legal proceedings were initiated in Pennsylvania to dissolve the 10-year marriage of Jon and Kate Gosselin.”
The word “divorce” was never once uttered during the 60-minute program. Kate said her biggest fear was “the label that we failed. How that will affect our kids, how they’ll be another statistic.” READ MORE…
Too late. Unfortunately they just became another statistic. Now when will the networks call it quits on these fake “reality” shows?

I heard that this dude was in Manhattan looking for a pricey apartment at the Trump Towers. I hope he gets one with eight rooms.
Well its likely for the better. He seems like a good dad & I hope he continues. At least the kids are still young.

I watched the show and they did seperate interviews. The interviewer must of asked the same questions to both. Their respones were identicle. I don’t hate (fill in the blank) the house is not our it’s the kids house. Blah, blah, blah. I can say I have never seen Kate so quiet and reserved while Jon grew a pair, well he tried to.

He does seem like a good dad, he just has no paitence when it comes to “bossy, organized” Kate.
I don’t think the show is cancelled. They have a contract to follow. I heard they ordered 40 new episodes. They do make it seem as though Jon is getting a spin off show.
Kate was a ***ch to her husband. I remember watching the show years ago thinkin to myself “dayum she talk to him like a lil kid”…..he would come home from work and get right into his kids and she would be on him “Jon!”..blah blah…I would’ve left her azz too…
I remember one episode they answered Fan Mail..and people were saying then how Kate was so negative to her husband…so it was bound to happen!

Their odds were not that great without the cameras. The divorce rate amoung couples with multiples is much greater than any other group. Not sure if the fame and the money were worth it to them. I think they just need a break. They love each other. They just got swept up in all the madness.

And its sad, but not surprising. Watch it from teh beginning to now, u basically watched them grow apart. Kate treated john like shyt….plain and simple. I respect him for staying as long as he did, cuz she treated him like shyt, and thats with the cameras rolling…so imagine what it was like wen it was off.

And as for Kate being bossy, HE knew that when he married her. He wasn’t complaining when he was living with his momma and they met and married. He just seems like an opportunist to me but maybe I’m just being hard on him.
Anna i agree. I’ve watched the show with the sextuplets and that couple hardly spends any time with each other and the wife admits she neglects her husband.
@KC you have it WRONG she is the opportunist. I watched this show from DAY ONE..lol The kids caught my attn the show is not the same anymore this season and started chaning last season. The 1st few season it was ALL about the kids. I never thought Jon and Kate were in love so to speak but then I said maybe they come off that way cause they have 8 kids. They never had any chemistry. Kate admits to being controlling and somewhat of a B. She makes no bones about it and does not apologize for it (her words). I do feel they both love the kid and he is a good father indeed.
I believe the sister in law who said they had a contract he could have a side piece as long as he stayed married. See how well that worked out.
One thing that I can’t stand is for a MAN or Woman for that matter to have kids with someone inside a marriage union and then to break those vows by being with someone else.
And Daisy him having a romantic lunch with the Doctor’s wife who did his wife’s surgery seems opportunist to me. If he didn’t want his kids on that show then he should have stood up and said NO.
They both were opportunist but his unfaithful actions and rumping around with college students at college parties smells like a midlife crisis to me. IMO, lol and GM!

I’m all pro woman and all that BUT anyone who watches this damn show knows that Jon got fed up with Kate’s BOSSY ass and finally is trying to grow a pair. She is VERY mean to him and treated him like the 9th child instead of her husband.
As far as opportunist, that would be Kate.
He’s divorcing because he wants some new piece of arse and he doesn’t want to be called a cheater, lol. And they caught his butt red handed out with the Doctor’s wife who did Kate’s nip/tuck, lol.
Besides their still keeping the show so I don’t think that he really wants the camera’s out of his life…Aw well at least the kids best interest are being respected by both. No sense in making it work if your kids are going to see you shouting insults at each other every 10 minutes.

The drs wife who did Kates surgery is NOT young she was on the show as well. The young chick is as teacher.

I’m not going back and forth Shauny reread what I wrote the first time. I haven’t seen any romantic pics of her with a bodyguard but I have seen him out and a both numerous times.
Either way it takes two for a marriage to fail. I’m not going to sit here and blame Kate.
@ Daisy he’s been seen with multiple women. Normally gossip is gossip but they have the pics to prove it hum. Don’t have to see the show when your life is splattered all over the tabloids.

Kcicero, I agree with you. I have watched that show since day one my daughter loves it. She has not changed at all. Actually she may have loosened up a bit. He knew who she was then, He did not grow a pair. Instead of being an adult man and addressing thier different approaches to raising those kids and the way she spoke to him he let her run it all .Then when the country saw it and spoke on it it began to eat at him. He took the punk road and cheated on her IN PUBLIC with a 23 year old girl. I don’t like the way she runs her house and her kids but that’s her way. I used to feel sorry for him and think he was such a good man but he’s just a weak man. And I agree Kwallace, they got a big enough house to have seperate rooms. I only got 3 and I feel that way. You ain’t goin nowhere untill the last one leaves. Love ain’t go nothin to do with it.

The problem is when you have too many ppl in your marriage. Kate did not get this way because of the fame and the kids. One who controls does not become that way over night. Now that everyone knows who he is and pointing out to him how bossy his wife is he stepped back and now sees what he hadn’t before. No man wants to look like a whimp with the whole world watching.

Wiggy- I never said Kate changed into being a **** I watched the show as well from day one. We all saw this was a train wreck a long time ago. THEY BOTH changed in the sense she was all about being a star, writing books, milking it for everything she could (not saying thats right or wrong) Jon was not happy with the show getting bigger n bigger cause it was making him/them into stars and he wanted it to be about the KIDS and ITS NOT anymore. They both handled things WRONG! He says he didnt cheat she says she aint cheating. IF he had a PASS to have a side piece then that aint cheating..lol I am glad he finally started standing up to Kate. He can still be a good father and keep it moving. He aint the 1st man to cheat (IF HE DID) and wont be the last.

Hello All. Most Americans tend to disagree with gay marriage yet we see couples like this making loads of babies and then divorcing. Is this how we straight folks hold marriage sacred? A marriage takes 2 and so does a separation. Peace.
Daisy girl I didn’t say you did. I wasn’t really addressing you anyone in particular. As far as the cheating, there is no proof Kate cheated plenty that John did. I agree with you they handled the show issue wrong. I don’t believe the issue was the show being about the kids tho. He didn’t like being recognized but more importantly I think he didn’t like the show being his career. Or being the stay at home parent while kate did the promo tours. Even last nite he talked about getting a job when clearly he dosen’t have to. Mens self identity is dependant on thier career and being the provider (most men) I agree with you and feel her biggest mistake was continuing to do the show when for at least two seasons he’s said he didn’t want to.

I’ve only seen this show a handful of times. The mother seems controlling and the dad seemed like she got on his nerves.
